I had been recommended by a colleague who had visited some years ago before the Covid pandemic. At first sight you are taken aback at the somewhat crumbling 1930s era Moderne style of this standalone hotel building. However, once inside you receive a very hospitable welcome. You will discover that the hotel was newly built & opened in 1936 by one of the Bateman brewing family from nearby Wainfleet. An architect’s plan dated 1934 is exhibited in one of the rooms off the reception area together with photographs from that period. There is a user operated lift available dating from 1936 that works perfectly. The bedrooms are dated but equipped with nice firm beds, clean sheets & an abundance of spotless towels. On reflection the breakfast was easily one of the best I’ve ever encountered. Service was excellent, the menu choices were wide (including kippers) & the resulting cuisine was delicious. One final tip concerns parking. You approach the parking area from a narrow service road behind the hotel. Make sure that you have parked immediately behind the hotel building. Parking beyond the building takes you into the adjacent NCP car park. It is not easy to visualise this distinction between the two parking areas. Ask at Reception to ensure that you have parked in the area reserved for for hotel guests which is free Like many of the long established hotels in Skegness, the County has suffered from the recent opening of the large Premier Inn on the sea front. I’m an annual visitor to Skegness for an event at the Embassy leisure complex & I intend to return to the County next year.

Relax by the seaside at our Premier Inn Skegness Seafront hotel. Take a stroll down the famous Skegness Pier, which people have been visiting for fantastic breaks to the East Coast for over a century. Perfect for a weekend getaway, there's plenty of things to do nearby with Natureland Seal Sanctuary and Skegness Aquarium only short walks away from the hotel. The Seacroft Golf Club is also close by if you fancy perfecting your swing, as well as crazy golf courses if you prefer your game with a few more windmills. Enjoy great food like freshly hand-battered fish and chips at our on-site Cookhouse and Pub restaurant, and when the sun sets look forward to sinking into one of our comfy Hypnos beds.
We do love a premier inn, but for some reason i was always skeptical over using the one at Skegness seafront (think it had been down to the argument of taking away business from other hoteliers along the front that had been there years). However, for whatever reason I changed my mind and booked for a few days away. We stayed in one of the premier rooms, so had a good side view of part of the pier/ fair/ beach. Staff were welcoming, no matter who you encountered there was always a smile on their face and they evidently took pride in their service. Being midweek outside of school holidays - breakfast time was quiet on both mornings. Plates were hot, as was the food with plenty to choose from. They were offering poached eggs and porridge by order only so if you wanted those items they were very fresh. The pub attached was open for meals into the evening as well, we didn’t use this but you could see it was a popular choice for visitors and hotel residents as there was always someone in. Great location for all main seafront activities (pier / seal sanctuary / fair and arcades). Will come back again if we have a few days at the coast. Good thing about the hotel is that there is ample parking and it’s free! There is also a shop across the road that sells essentials if you run out or forget to pack things.

Well, what a fantastic find after all these years visiting Skeg. Usually stay in a newish caravan as we couldn't find a decent hotel. Well we certainly have found one now. We would like to thank Paula and her team who were above and beyond from Start to finish, nothing was too much trouble for them. Pablo, thank you for a super efficient service during our stay too. We could see the staff were super busy all the time but always obliged. We booked a suite which was so spacious and large, comfy bed too. We also had a nice balcony overlooking the lakes. Breakfast was excellent every morning, great selection of everything. We also had relatives visit one evening and booked in the restaurant for a meal, again this was very enjoyable and good value. There is a drinks reduction between 4/6pm so we used to meet up before dinner. Lovey reception area with comfy sofa's to sit on too. Our son has already booked to stay again in August!!

The stay was enjoyable only one or two things the welcome was lukewarm on departure comparing to three years ago but during the stay they were helpful but I had a steak pie which was overcooked. The bed was comfortable and on the last night a funeral wake had a loud disco in the function room below my room so I did not go to bed till midnight when they finished however they allowed me to put my bike in the function room at bedtime

The Eastleigh has an enviable location, conveniently close to the seafront, Skegness Pier and North Parade, and an easy walk to the beach, the centre of town, the bowling greens and Embassy Theatre. All rooms are comfortably furnished, well-appointed doubles arranged over three floors and all are en-suite with showers. Rooms at the front have a limited sea-view, and all other rooms face the rear of the property. Many unexpected little extras make a stay at The Eastleigh a little more special. The Eastleigh is 'room-only' and does not offer any meals, which is reflected in the attractive room rates. Allocated parking in the private car park is available for some rooms, otherwise there is ample on-street unlimited free parking. We are a non friendly pet hotel (sorry). And our checking - in policy is 15:00 (3pm) till 19:00 (7pm).
A great stay as always. Very comfortable room with plenty of tea and coffee and complimentary biscuits and bottled water too. Super clean and extremely friendly in a great location also. Parking is available at the pay and display car park two doors away or road side when available.

Great little hotel, in a grat location, a couple minutes walk from Skegness sea front. Was greeted well on arrival and shown to our room. The key fob for the front door wasn't explained on check in so had to ask the owner once we left for the first evening. The family room is a very spacious 2 bedroom apartment with a double and single in the en suite room and a single in the second room there is also a second toilet. Both bedrooms had flat screen tvs with free view. We weren't offered breakfast on arrival but we wasn't really bothered about that. Rooms were very clean and tidy but I would say a makeover would make this hotel even better. The only downside was the WiFi never seemed to work were we were on the top floor, so they could do with investing in a couple WiFi boosters. Overall enjoyed our stay at the home star and would definitely return.
