Great idea let down by poor management
Reviewed By c sReally wanted to like this property and this Chinese boutique hotel brand (they have three hotels: this, Zhujiajiao and Qiandaohu). On arrival, the lobby was nice and the service was efficient and polite, and that's kind of where it ended. We booked into the newer rooms, not the 5-6k a night restored villas, but were happy we hadn't gambled on the expensive rooms. The design of the room was minimal but very stylish. On closer inspection, however, everything started to come apart — this was true of the whole hotel. The bathtub was covered in black scuff marks, dozens and dozens of them. In the shower, the wall was dirty, as if someone had killed a mosquito against the wall and forgot to clean it up. In one corner of the shower, the tiles did not meet each other, leaving a hole into who knows where. The garden of the room was lovely and wild, though there were many dead branches rotting on top of the greenery. Just outside the door, the exterior wall was in poor shape, with big bubbles in the paint, and much of the paint coming off in wide peels. Maintenance pipes were put through walls and never painted over or maintained. Call me picky, but if I'm paying three hunded US dollars for the CHEAP room, I expect a baseline of upkeep. Still, I was willing to overlook this. Until dinner. When we checked in, they gave us a voucher for a set dinner. It turned out to be five extremely cheap dishes served backwards. They served us the dried vegetable soup and the dessert tangyuan at the same time, followed by a stir-fried spinach and an indistinguishable fried pancake. When we asked if this was it, they said it was. In fact, they had forgotten to serve the "expensive" seafood dish and when we asked about that, they insisted they had already served us. They hadn't. Finally a manager stepped in and corrected that, but gave us two slices of an inedible cake while we waited for our main course. Breakfast the next day was even worse. The staff uniform, we observed, was an Artengo polo shirt, which is bought at... Decathlon, the inexpensive sporting goods store. There's more but I think this is enough to get the point across -- this is a beautiful property ruined by a lack of upkeep and maintenance. When we finally had to fight to check out early and get our unused deposit back, they admitted that the number of customers on the weekend is outstripping their capacity to keep up. Think twice before spending on this hotel.

Fabulous location for lovers and lovers of shopping too. Located on a canal and bridge romance is everywhere.Two pedestrian streets of bars, cafes and retail shops outside. Also the huge Wanda Shopping Center. What a place to stay for a weekend escape.One of the 21 Smartel hotels to be converted in 2014 to the new Jinjiang MetroPolo chain of midscale lodging in China. This is superb lodging value.
Satisfactory probably could have and should have been better
Reviewed By Greg EI had a group of us staying 5 rooms, for a local project staying 5 nights. The location is excellent but has no kerb side access which means dragging your luggage onto and across the plaza or road, difficult at night or raining. The building it self is very old and run down but has obviously had a refurb in the past 5 or so years to a Metropolo standard. That standard could and should be lifted. That said the place offered good sleep quality. Breakfast was better than some Chinese Hotels. For this price it was very good value. I am never one to ever say, that no English is spoken and is never a complaint of mine, half the enjoyment of travelling, however I booked all of the rooms through booking.com had all the printed bookings etc but yet the reception could not find the booking and had no interest is trying to help. Eventually after the miraculous and instant ability of my check in clerk to speak English !!! Yes it was miraculous and equally instant, they finally found our booking and after 40 mins found all the bookings,. What on earth the game plan was I have no idea. Anyway I would probably stay again as the local shopping plaza Wanda Plaza had a very good selection of eating places and was an easy place to navigate around Shoaxing.

Reviewed By myronchwang这个酒店的名字和另外一个酒店（好像是速8），实际上是同个一个酒店。装修还可以，房间虽小，布局还算合理。就是卫生搞得有些粗糙。我住进去的时候，房间里还有上一个房客的自带的洗发水，以及一条内裤。

Best option in Keqiao for business travellers
Reviewed By 771navinkSecond time in this property in my regular Business visit to Keqiao. Impressed with breakfast spread. I must say they serve the best in the town. Our only reason to stay in this property was breakfast. Rooms are standard, nothing special, small clean rooms. Service and other facilities no complains. Overall environment is good compared to other hotels in the city. *** They also run different deal for frequent travellers with good discounts. Am getting one in my next visit for sure. *** Location is quite convenient *** Swimming / steam / sauna : Please be aware that you need proper shower cap and customs to enter in the pool. Indoor heated pool. Steam / Sauna facilities can only be used if you are talking any spa/ massage package which is on charge. This is the worse part as after a long business day one prefer to use these facilities to get some rest Highly recommend for everyone who can afford around $100 a night.

A relaxing break
Reviewed By BoardingPass820400Had a pleasant 2 night stay in July 2020. 1st night we had a standard room, 2nd night we stayed in the suite, which is 2 stories. Buffet breakfast was fine, busy due to holiday season in China. Handy location for some tourist locations, kids loved the amusement park which is 10 minutes drive away. The hotel is in nice grounds which I enjoyed walking around. There is an indoor pool and outdoor pool, open to 10pm. Staff were pleasant, we communicated in Chinese so not sure of their English ability. Didn't eat in the hotel restaurant, as we drove to some local restaurants in Keqiao. Plan to go back in future, perfect for a weekend break. Roughly 1 hour drive from Hangzhou airport.

Old, common and no more at the page
Reviewed By Alessandro MIt shows every single year of his age. Nothing changed from my first night in New Century Keqiao more than 10 years ago. Staff and service below my normal expectations. Dinner and breakfast are the same year after year. All above reasons pushed me this time to move to a newer Hotel in the same town and the decision has been the best I made in China. I've been feeling at home in New Century for years, this time I felt as a less than normal guest and this I the worst feeling for somebody that is going working in a Country so far from home and hope to find efficiency and service of a good level in order to avoid stress and problems that can tipically be found in a mediocre hotel like New Century is nowadays.

Big Area with Ski Dome
Reviewed By SutasikarI think Qiaobo conference center is in the same area of Qiaobo ski and snowball hotel that I stayed in Beijing. It is far away from the crowded area. There are the indoor ski dome, which is very large. We can rent all equipments here by paying and showing the plastic card to get money back when going out. There are separated dressing rooms for men and women. We can play skiing in the night. I saw Chinese people relaxing here too. The dome is far from the hotel but we can walk in the cool weather. The room is comfortable, clean and good amenities.
