A Self-Contained apartment
Reviewed By Garrett PVery pleasant stay in this beautiful town. The architecture is reminiscent of a Southern American town in which you expect to see a bearded gentleman exiting the building whilst wearing a Confederate Army uniform asking for directions to Gettysburg! Directly next door to the accommodation is a very nice pizza restaurant and a little further down is a pleasant Mexican restaurant. The rooms are clean and spacious. There is also SKY TV available in your room just in case that you miss the sound of English being spoken as not many people in the area do speak it.

Reviewed By JanMatthiesenClassic seaside hotel overlooking the cliff. Very basic room standards without frills (if you exclude the pillow chocolate), but functional. There is no seaside ambiance or nautical themes usually found in these locations and getting around the hotel is along dark and gloomy corridors and staircases. If you are not quite ready for the intensive experience of neighbouring Binz, this is a nice location to start. If you enjoy a meal in the restaurant you will get a very helpful service when you treat yourself to a robust meal that is tasteful as well as very filling. If fish and soup sounds good to you, try their award winning fish soup. The wine-by-glass selections recommended by the staff are more than just the usual house wine experience. Well rested, and after taking in an excellent breakfast service on the patio, you feel ready to take on the many local tourist attractions.

nice few days stay
Reviewed By stellakwongriechmannsince we could not go to Italy, we decided to go to Ortsee. the hotel is big and it is fair however, the restaurant has good food . the first night we had the dinner buffet which is not good and inadequate . the second night we had a la carte which was excellent. what is worth mentioning is the maitre ´D called Simonson who is extremely good in customer service,, very accomodating and helpful , giving a good feeling of being cared for... the waiter Lolly is also very good and friendly.. i would recommend this restaurant for its customer service oriented staff. we would come back and have dinner here.

Reviewed By tine2476Das Hotel ist mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Das Personal ist ausgesprochen freundlich und herzlich. Am Frühstücksbuffet fehlt es an nichts, alles ist frisch und lecker. Ebenso die Speisekarte am Abend, da ist für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei. Das Hotel ist absolut empfehlenswert.

Quite and inexpensive place to stay off season in Sellin
Reviewed By Marian MWas here for two nights in the off season and it was very good. the hotel is not the most modern but has everything needed and the personal was very nice. The breakfast was easy but very good and you had lots of choices, for the price charged, absolutely awesome.

I booked sparkling wine, flowers and fruits as present for my partner and all was prepared. We got also nice decoration of breakfast table on birthday for my partner plus glass of champagne. We are regular guests of Sellin, but this hotel is Nr. 1. We go back for my birthday in March. Highly recommended and big thank you to all team in Seeschloss Sellin. Herzlichen Dank und wir sehen uns wieder.

Such a lovely place
Reviewed By Trine BSpent 5 nights at this wonderful hotel in early April 2022 with my longtime friend - we try to meet once a year indulge in good food, wellness and good company This place is excellent - it's beautiful special architecture from times gone by has been carefully restored and made up to speed comfortwise. The food is absolutely to die for, which Michelin has noticed. The Spa area is delightful and just misses the "Dämpfbäder" due to Covid-19 The Beauty- and wellness department is a must. The professional staff offers a wide range of treatments and massages and is strongly and warmly recommended The staff is a bunch of kind, humourous, helpful and very professional people - and they make you feel welcome any time of day or night. I loved my stay and I will be back.

Wonderful stay
Reviewed By EllenChrWe stayed here for three nights and enjoyed it. We were hearty greeted in the reception and were given a lot of information that was very useful. Due to Covid-19 there was no cleaning during our stay. We were compensated with a bottle of wine. We could fetch towells in the reception if we wanted the, changes. This worked very well. We traveled with our daughter, and got a two room flat, which was very comfortable. According to her, the sofa bed was one of the best she had slept on. The kitchenet was clean and well functionning. There was a supermarket and a bakery right next door which opened early. The beach is about 8-10 min walk away. The same distance to the main street with several good restaurants. Parking reasonably priced.

A very disappointing experience.
Reviewed By Brighton45We had booked a so called Comfort Room ( bedroom and separate lounge) several months in advance but were very disappointed with what we were given for the price (€1050 per week) we had to pay. The bedroom was small with no real wardrobe to hang clothes. The lounge had a small wardrobe but not sufficiently high enough to hang trouser. The view from the lounge was on to somebody’s back yard and the WiFi reception in both rooms was so bad that I had to go to the small reception area to check mails, etc. The rooms were very clean, the breakfast buffet very good and the service staff was friendly. However, the manager/owner was neither friendly nor accommodating. If you book via Booking.com you have to pay an extra €3 per night for parking which is about 300 meters away from the hotel - great when it is raining!
