Unfortunately, a generally good impression of hotel was spoiled by a very unethical behavior of the hotel. The hotel charged me and my wife an additional tourist tax to the final price quote from booking.com, which explicitly stated that taxes were included. The hotel's explanation of this situation was that the final price quote from booking.com did not include the tourist tax. My wife and I found this explanation ridiculous, because on booking.com price quote it explicitly states that "the price is final" and "taxes are included in the final price". So, from our point of view, we were intentionally deceived when we made the reservation on booking.com because they offered a lower price than what they actually asked us to pay.

Stay at the Radisson Blu Furst Leopold Hotel in Dessau, conveniently close to the train station and surrounded by idyllic parks and nature reserves
Our stay here was very disappointing. The location is fine and the rooms are clean and modern. The AC however is completely inadequate, hardly works at all and is impossible to regulate. Food was average. The worse thing about this hotel is the unhelpful and, at times, frankly rude staff. We were unlucky enough to have a prebooked evening meal here and it was a depressing experience with poor food and the terrible attitude of the staff. Never again.

Experience the medieval, idyllic atmosphere in the heart of Quedlinburg as a fabulous journey back in time. Enjoy the surroundings which are by a ring of accommodatingly generous Jugendstil villas, each located just a few walking minutes away from the center of the World Cultural Heritage site. Exactly the right place for the Hotel am Bruehl! Located directly along the scenic Bruehl Park. Since being painstakingly restored, a romantic ambience inhabits the heritage-protected, half-timbered house of a former distillery and the adjacent Grunderzeit mansion. Visitors will discover a refreshingly pleasant atmosphere reminding them of Mediterranean ease. Near the historic heart of the city (barely 5 to 10 walking minutes away) and with a view of the hill castle Schlossberg with its double towers of the Romanesque abbey church, the hotel is the ideal place for beginning excursions. Important: Our restaurant "Weinstube" ist closed on Sundays and Mondays from january to march.
Welcome and Employees: Check-in was okay, but not especially friendly. Proof of corona test was required. Room and Facilities: Location was good – only a 10 minute walk to the market square and all other sights. Room was clean and modern and larger than the other hotels where we had stayed. Unfortunately the WiFi was quite weak in our room. We did not notice that they had overflow parking, so we parked on the street to save the parking fee. Breakfasts: Great breakfast with an excellent choice of hot and cold foods and cold cuts, cheeses, cereals and fresh fruit. They even had sparking wine. There was the option to dine in the courtyard with fresh air. Summary and Recommendation: An excellent hotel and fair-value when staying in Quedlinburg (I give it a 5 star, which I rarely do). The hotel and room is exactly what you expect – clean, relatively modern and meets and exceeds expectations. Quedlinburg is a wonderful town to visit and explore – especially for history fans.

We visited the place during a trip across Germany. From the border of Switzerland to Flensburg, from Bremen to the Eastern border of Germany. While we didn't like Halle as a city we enjoyedthe stay in this hotel. The room was very large, the bath on the other hand was small but functional and clean. The staff was friendly. Unfortunately the bar and the restaurant was closed.

In a landscape full of power and poetry and home to two UNESCO World Heritage Sites, this is Dessau-Roßlau. The DORMERO Hotel Dessau-Roßlau with its 152 rooms and 9 conference rooms, is not far from the lively pedestrian zone of the beautiful city. Relax on the attractive roof terrace. Nature lovers will also find themselves in the heart of it, as the city is situated in the middle of an extensive floodplain landscape next to the Elbe and Mulde rivers. Its border to the south is the wooded Mosigkauer Heide, while in the north, are the equally wooded areas of southern Flämings. The Landscape Park in and around Dessau was established by Leopold III. Friedrich Franz of Anhalt-Dessau, was also known as the Prince of Enlightenment. For his garden creation, he looked to role models that were based around nature.
Room comfortable enough, but wardrobe door fell off and room safe didn't work despite request. Asked for 2 extra pillows but ignored. Reception desk mostly unmanned. Staff not interested in guests. No sense of welcome or hospitality. Breakfast very basic and unattractive (Hilde's cafe across the street much better). Failed to complete taxi booking. We went to Dessau to visit the Bauhaus and Bauhaus Museum. This hotel is not especially convenient for Bauhaus things, and there are other options.

Stylish, urban and luxurious: the niu Ridge is your comfort zone in Halle and gives you a lively "right in the middle" feeling. The old town and main railway station are within walking distance and make the niu Ridge the "place to be" for business people and short breaks. Here you can relax wonderfully or also work. Our in-house bar provides you with refreshing drinks and delicious finger food at any time. Note: Approach via Dorotheenstraße.
I have just had the pleasure of using this hotel, both as a guest and visitor for the last seven weeks. Highly recommended due mainly, as the last reviewer said, the staff. They deserve at least 5*. The rooms are excellent and comfy, the train station is a few minutes walk away as are bars and restaurants. As they say in Germany, aller erste sahne

The ibis Styles Halle has been completely refurbished in December 2017. All guest rooms, the restaurant, the bar and the function rooms are totally new. Breakfast and WIFI are free of charge at the ibis Styles Halle hotel. Love Georg Friedrich Handel? The ibis Styles Halle brings you closer to the Baroque composer, as he is the theme of all 108 uniquely designed rooms, as well as the lobby, Philharmonie restaurant and Orchester bar. The central location of the hotel allows you to easily discover the city center on foot, including Handel's birthplace and workplaces.
I have stayed here a few times. When I had visited in the summer heat, the lack of air conditioning made it difficult. Now effort has been made to alleviate the situation. There was an air cooling box on the wall in the room I got on my latest visit and it helps. The hotel staff are always helpful and friendly in my experience. The location is very good as it is so close to the central railway station and trams. The rooms are comfortable and the Handel theme is nice.

4* Hotel mit Restaurant im Herzen der UNESCO Welterbestadt Quedlinburg historisches Fachwerkhotel direkt am Marktplatz
This hotel has a great location (so I thought while booking it). And indeed while the location is very good (which I know now all of the hotels in Quedlingburg have given you can cross town in any direction in a 15 min walk) the rest left us to desire for more. First of all parking. It is absolutely impossible to find the parking with the directions hotel provided on their website and in the confirmation e-mail. If you follow their special Weingarten 22 address, you'd end up in a narrow dead end street where the only parking is of a private residence. We had to call them to get completely different directions for a parking, some 800 m drive away. What does the address have to do with it we only found out upon exiting the parking - it is the address of the gate, which leads you to it but only accessible by foot through a giant medieval looking door. Nothing on it suggests there is a parking behind it (and even if it would, there is no chance to get through it by car). Second, what I thought was a nice google.translate glitch on the website about the parking being a 'Use at your own risk' one, suddenly all made sense once we got to it. It is basically in the middle of a half ruined building. To be honest I had some doubts about finding the car in one piece the next day. Okay, so we finally reach the hotel. I booked a comfort room for a nice view of the square. Well... its more like view on the wall of the building next to the hotel with a small glimpse of the square. I attach a photo to show exactly what I mean. Another nice surprise: we had to choose a breakfast seating time slot, and because the hotel was apparently full (or so we were told) we had to be done with our breakfast before 9 o'clock. You'd think if you get a room without a view, maybe they will at least try to be nice to you with breakfast timings? But noooo.... By the way, we did arrive at 2pm to the hotel, so either they were full with people who stay there for days (what to do in Quedlinburg for more than one day?) or else I don't know how to explain our luck. I have no complaints about the room except for the view which I expressed earlier. It was of decent size and well equipped. The breakfast however added to the general disappointment. In an otherwise empty restaurant we got the worst possible table, almost at the reception desk. Cause when you get a room without a view and have to get up at 8 am to have breakfast, why try to ease it up by at least giving you a good table, right? Now, I understand its difficult times now and they try to limit guests movement in the breakfast area, so plates with cold cuts and bread are brought to your table. But why then do you have to go get your butter yourself? Also our cold cuts/bread basket had most stuff in twos. Like two pieces of sausage/ham/etc. In that happy universe of twos, one slice of salmon and one croissant felt very lonely I bet... And then there was a fruit platter with a fine touch of mold (photo attached) that put a nice exclamaition mark to our breakfast experience. Upon check out the room and the city tax had to be paid separately. For the latter they would only accept cash. So much for the contactless payments in these difficult times... In other words, if you plan to feel welcome and have an enjoyable stay, I'd choose to stay elsewhere if I was you. In such difficult times as tourism is industry going through at the moment you'd expect something better.
