We are a small mom & pop motel. Due to our size, this allows us to get to know our customers and build relationships with them. Quiet park-like setting with fire-pit, picnic tables and a large yard area for enjoying the summer weather. Continental breakfast included with every rental. Set 1 mile outside of downtown Saugatuck, we are close to downtown, Golf, Dune rides and Lake Michigan, with all the restaurants and shopping one could ask for.
Making reservations were easy. Also, upon arriving I was greeting by the owner she was extremely pleasant! The room was clean, and welcoming. In the morning I asked for a later check out time and she checked the incoming guest and allowed me to stay over til 12 oppose to 11. Which was extremely helpful. I will rebook this motel she back in the area. Only down fall is they’ve 2 per friendly rooms so if You’re bringing your fir baby(ies) book early! Would definitely recommend this quaint clean motel that is very close to downtown Saugatuck & Douglas.

West Michigan's very own Mini Versailles located in Saugatuck, Michigan. This Frank Lloyd Wright architecture inspired mansion boasts 10 beautifully appointed guest rooms and a fine dine restaurant sitting on over 5 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens.Enjoy the intimacy of a Bed & Breakfast while feeling the sophistication for a European style boutique Inn. You won't feel like you are in some ma & pa home here. Breakfast is served in our formal dining room at your own table! The Belvedere Inn has found the perfect balance between a B&B and Boutique Inn!
After reading all the great reviews I had big expectations for this hotel. And I was not disappointed. Sean is from Ireland, and I feel that only a European could create such an experience (I've only experienced this high a level of service and elegance in Europe). It was such a treat - and the dinner was the best dinner I've ever experienced in my life! Amazing. I must say though that a 109-year-old building is not going to have a great heating/cooling system (since there was none back then, and it's difficult to retrofit the architecture for it), so while the room temperature was moderate, and comfortable enough, you're not going to be able to simply select a temp in your room control pad as you would in modern hotels ... and there are a few other aspects of a structure that old, such as very creaky floors - so you have to accept a little bit of that ... and the overall awesome ambience and staff attention-to-detail and friendliness more than makes of for that - and in some ways these old idiosyncrasies even add to the charm of the place and make it an even more memorable and awesome experience. How many hotel stays do you remember? This is one very positive one you shan't forget.

We stayed here to sleep so we could get up early to get to the dock by 5:30 am for an all day fishing trip. When we arrived in the room, there was a high pitched squeal sound - which ended up being the mini fridge. We unplugged it and the noise stopped. In all fairness, we didn’t notify them at the hotel because we left for dinner and when we got back just went to bed to sleep to get up and on our way for an early am fishing trip It is located close to the downtown area and very close to Dairy Daze- the local favorite ice cream parlor.

The Starlite Resort is a 29 room motel located in Saugatuck Michigan. We have 10 double queen bed rooms, 15 Single Queen bed rooms, 2 Jacuzzi suites, 1, and a two room Suite.
Pet friendly, larger rooms for individual or couple. Clean and comfortable. No hesitation to return some day. Breakfast could be a little more elaborate, very basic but fine, could use some yogurt and juice.

Whether you’re in the mood for a leisurely stroll through town, an afternoon at the beach, or a fine dining experience, you’ll be enchanted by all Saugatuck has to offer.
Stayed two nights in late May and had a wonderful stay. Excellent host, Jeff West, and attendant, Sandra, were most accommodating. Teriffic breakfast, well served and enjoyed conversation with other guests. Also, enjoyed complimentary wine and cheese snacks in late sfternoon. However, this B&B is under new ownership and they just recently opened after having done extensive renovations. Some items needing to be addressed: a) No clocks, telephones, radios or TVs in any room (perhaps this part of the old fashioned charm being continued - this should be mentioned in the listing of amenities for Wickwood); b) Floor lamp would be nice by the chair for reading, otherwise not light enough; c) Windows in our 1st floor room did not lock and a window was cracked and needed replacement; d) Suggest entry key pad code be changed often; e) Rooms not individually temperature controlled; f) Parking lot should be paved & lined (do not use chip & seal). Again, we really enjoyed our stay and wish the new owners best success in their new venture. Thank you to Jeff and Sandy.

The newly christened Saugatuck Resort Motel aims to build on the property's decades old reputation of family-owned quaintness and hospitality. The resort takes guests back in time to the days of small roadside motels where the owner checked you in complete with flashing neon signs, large grassy yards with big shade trees and cozy rooms.
I have to admit when we first rolled into the parking lot we had a little concern. That was quickly absolved when I met Rob. He welcomed us with open arms. Rob mapped out our entire trip for us. Told us all the happenings in town. Rob went above and beyond for us all weekend. The Retro Motel itself for me was absolutely perfect when in Western Michigan. I could not have asked for more. The room was a little small but it was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. We will definitely be staying at the Retro again.

Relax, renew, and enjoy the view, in downtown Saugatuck! Our remodeled, private cottages are open year-round. Heated pool & hot tub, outdoor grilling/picnic area and beautiful landscaping. We are walking distance to local shops, galleries, restaurants, parks, attractions and nightlife.
We stayed at the Red door through Paddlewheel properties. This is located in the Star of Saugatuck building, which makes it a great location! At the end of one of the mail shopping streets, and right on the water, it’s close to walk to shops, restaurants, and to sit and relax outdoors watching the boats go by. An added plus is you don’t have to fight for parking spots to shop because they have a spot reserved for you. The rental has a living room, bedroom with king size bed, bathroom with roomy shower, and a kitchen with everything you need. The place is very clean and gets a lot of light with the shaded open. We would definitely stay here again. The only downfall is that when you do have the shades open, everyone walking past is peering in the windows.

Perfect for guests seeking a more private Bed & Breakfast experience, these romantic getaways for two feature king or queen beds, fireplaces, whirlpool tubs for two and kitchens. An in-room continental breakfast of homemade muffins, fresh fruit and yogurt allows you to start your day whenever you like, there's no schedule here at Hidden Garden. Located in the heart of downtown Saugatuck, steps away from restaurants, shops, galleries and attractions. Private, off-street parking is available.
Everything was exactly as advertised. Lovely room, great location, well-stocked kitchen (including a candy jar), and breakfast magically delivered to our refrigerator daily while we were out. This is a huge improvement over the traditional B&B concept. Whether you’re an early riser or late sleeper, breakfast is ready when you are. The daily treats are a very nice touch as well. My favorite was the chocolate krispy.

We stayed in the Clipson room for a weekend. It was the cleanest hotel room I've ever been in. No dust anywhere. The reviews raving about the dessert and breakfast are right on. The first night was delicious berry cobbler and the second a luxuriously rich chocolate cake. This is easy walking or biking distance to either Saugatuck or Douglas. We walked to dinner at the Everyday People Cafe in Douglas. We didn't use the bikes or outdoor area but it was great to know we could. My only complaint was the loud lawn service Saturday afternoon when we were trying to take a nap after hiking the South Loop at Saugatuck Dunes Park. Just bad timing. We would stay here again.
