The Panoramic Hotel follows the rhythm of the seasons. With its breathtaking views over the Sancerre vineyards, it is like a real-life tableau that you will want to come and discover time and time again. A stone's throw from the old town of Sancerre and famous wine villages, such as Chavignol, the Panoramic Hotel is an integral part of its region and a proud representative of the local heritage. We would be delighted to welcome you to our charming wine region, whether it be for a business seminar or a romantic get-away.
The Hotel Le Panoramic is an updated hotel in a historic city. The rooms are functional, modern, and, many, with amazing views. It was a nice place to stay and the breakfast was ample. I just wish the front desk had a bit more warmth and hospitality - it was non-existent. Upon check in, I was never told that I would need a security code, written on the small paper wallet that held the room key, to enter the hotel if returning after 11:00 p.m. I found out the hard way, when I returned to the hotel at 11:45 p.m. on a cold November Saturday night - the keypad didn't ever have an emergency number. Luckily, other guests arrived about twenty minutes later and I was able to get in.

The hotel is unfortunately situated right at a very busy street. Our room was right beside the reception and had windows towards the street. It was nice and clean. The city seems to have closed down: Most of the shops were closing at 6 p.m. Only a few possibilities to have a dinner, so we ended up buying a salad in a supermarket. The breakfast-buffet is great.

Very pleasant and accommodating hosts. All the rooms were full for our requested dates so a small house nearby was offered. Unfortunately no WiFi. Upon paying the bill we were told that credit cards for foreign currencies ($) were not accepted. A very unpleasant surprise. Would have liked to know that in advance.

A stay here is quite a magical experience. As another review points out, it will surely live long in the memory. The venue will not suit everyone. There is no TV, no evening meal (although the owners were happy to supply us a bottle of Sancerre and let us use the dining room for our “picnic du nuit”) and the building and decor are fraying at the edges. Nevertheless, our hosts are welcoming and we got by with the our limited French and their limited English. Our room is the Tower Suite which is a step back to another time. 1810 our hosts informed. The chateau is situated around 15 mins from the lovely Sancerre and set in beautiful countryside. It is oozing history and we do expect to reminisce on this night for years to come.

We stayed a night, using the B&B as our base to visit Sancerre. It's a lovely family run property. Beautifully decorated, charming and a good breakfast spread. Cecile was kind enough to give us her cycles for an invigorating morning ride around the region. The region is incredibly beautiful and worth visiting.

Nice clea hotel with friendly staff and a great location to visit the town of Sancerre. Only negative was that the lift was out of order and we had to carry our heavy motorcycle gear and luggage up three flights of stairs. Hopefully the lift is fixed now.

The "Chambres d'Hôtes Les Potiers" was a perfect solution to discover the hidden gems of "Le Berry" region in central France. It is located in the countryside, between Bourges and Sancerre - just 10 min drive to Sancerre. We stayed in one of the chambres, in the original stables building. It is very comfortable, large bed, well equipped bathroom, clean, and probably most important for us, Silent.... what a privilege and pleasure, nowadays, to sleep in a dark and quiet room! Our hosts, Valérie and Philippe are very welcoming, pleasant, helpful, always going out of their way to make our stay a memorable experience. She makes exquisite jams marmalade, and baked some muffins, cup cakes, crêpes, for breakfast. With a nice cup of coffee, and a baguette from the local Boulangerie, what else does one need? We will certainly go back to finish visiting the numerous chateaux and sites of this region of France, which is, in my opinion, as worth visiting as the more popular Chateaux de la Loire - but without the loads of tourists and buses... Un grand merci to Valérie et Philippe!

Isabelle and Bruno are happy to make you discover their 5 guest rooms in a vast wooden house with a space wellness center, in the peaceful countryside at 1h30 from Paris. We shall share with you our beautiful region lined by the Loire and near the vineyards of Sancerre and Pouilly sur Loire. For the sportmen, the stay will be the opportunity to discover the circuit of the Loire by bicycle, to to go down the Loire by canoe, to take advantage of the golf 18 holes of Sancerre or to make magnificent strolls in the vineyard.
We stayed for a couple of nights at the La Fugue aux Varennes. It was great with a very spacious room, lots of pine and well insulated so it was very warm with no heating. When we arrived we were asked when we wanted breakfast and we said 7.00am (just arriving from Australia we were waking at 5.00am and by 7 were very hungry indeed, and also wanted to go see the Sancerre sites while the light was soft and the crowds few), and while the owner blanched a little he provided a fine breakfast. On the second morning when we wanted to leave early for a day long drive to Rheims before the traffic built up, the owner said a 7.00am breakfast was impossible and he would leave tea and some cakes out instead. Of course the tea and coffee did not include milk, and the cakes very poor (pre-packaged from the supermarket); and the idea of us helping ourselves (common in other B&Bs) was out of the question: not a good look for what is the wise a great place to stay.
