Book this hotel so we could do The Coronation Street Tour. Excellent location, very good price and the meal deal is fantastic value, highly recommend. We booked the higher grade room and it is definitely worth the additional cost, especially if you use Wi-Fi a lot.

Manchester's most fashionable hotel, the award-winning Lowry Hotel is ideally situated on the banks of the River Irwell in the recently-developed Chapel Wharf area on the Salford-Manchester boundary. The first five-star hotel in Greater Manchester, The Lowry Hotel makes a bold contemporary architectural statement with its dramatic, curved, glass-fronted façade that creates a light and airy feel within the hotel interior.
We recently stayed at the hotel for a mini city break, the hotel is nice and in a good location. Just a couple of small issues which i encounted. In the room they're no batha just walk in shower. When I asked at reception I was told to that I would have to upgrade and pay an other £200 if i wanted the the option of a bath. I felt a 5 Star should provide a both option. after all you can't beat a nice soak after a day out sightseeing. I had to ask the housekeeping for another bath robe, as there was only one supplied, I was told these are in short supply at the hotel and not to expect 2. Not great for a 5 star hotel. The bar and terrace area is lovely, but we were seated and then it took 20 minutes for someone to take our order. The car park code we had to ask for as this wasn't forthcoming. We weren't even asked if we needed it. Small issues but overall when you pay £900 plus for 3 nights you kinda expect a service to go along with the price tag. Let's face it even premier Inns give you a bath?

Was in this hotel for two nights during a short Trip to Manchester and I couldn't commend this place enough. Room is very comfortable and super clean, staff were very helpful (thanks gentleman Sergio for the elevator chat). Breakfast was AWESOME and I mean AWESOME. I actually felt I didn't pay enough for the two nights tbh. Staff member Carol is an epitome of hospitality, she was most helpful at breakfast and looked after us so well. Will be back. Also, hotel is accessible on tram via stop Exchange Quay (3 mins walk).

Shop for designer goodies at The Avenue, have a bite to eat at one of the many nearby restaurants, visit the People's History Museum or wander to The Lowry for a bit of culture. A stay in Manchester wouldn't be complete without an evening tipple on Deansgate. Fortunately, your Manchester Salford Central hotel room isn't far away.
Stayed 2 nights as we were attending a concert in the AO Arena. Location was perfect. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfast was superb. Dinner looked good also but we dined out on both evenings. Overall a very enjoyable stay and very good value for money.

The lounge area in the room had a very badly stained dirty carpet that was rolled up in places. The sofa was worn the leather affect was all coming off the arms. The toilet had poo in it and dark hairs in the sink.

Rooms were all very clean , tidy and beds were very comfy , and some rooms had lovely views of the canal . There were first rate choice of breakfasts both days. We also had good tasty meals in the brasserie with excellent service . As I am disabled the excellent standard of service I received by all members of staff was exceptional . Thank you everyone for all your care and attention.

This was a first family trip to Manchester and we took our two girls who were absolutely excited to go. Basic hotel, old building. You get what you pay your money for. That was just it. However basic customer service and things you shouldn't have to complain about..well we did several times. We stayed for 3 nights. Breakfast was basic but at most times cold. Most times as the food kept running out, the speed to get the next batches out was extremely slow. People were waiting almost 20minutes for hash browns, when that came the sausages went dow and it was a cycle on all the foods. I had hoped it would get better but it only got worse. The service was very slow and I had expected better. At a point my kids didn't even want the baked beans anymore because it was cold. The takeaway coffee cup lids were smaller so you couldn't take it away. The 2nd evening we arrived back, only to come back and find our room had not been touched. Beds a complete mess. We complained and the manager on duty had assured that she would note it and to make sure it gets cleaned. (That's not something she should have to do). 3rd night we came back, our room had still not been cleaned. At this point we were absolutely furious and you cannot imagine with kids too. I went to do reception to complain. We left there with our room uncleaned for the duration of the stay. Bins piled up, towels on the floor which they ask is to do if we want it changed. The car park is ridiculous, at times it recorded the times of arrival and departure and other times it did not. Something to be very attentive to. The managing at this place is terrible. For someone who works in customer service, this level of service isnt acceptable at all.
