Castillo Valdes Salas is located in the town of Salas, in Asturias, Spain. It is just 1 km from the town center and 35 km from the airport. Surrounded by lush valleys and mountains, this 16th century building has been beautifully restored as an idyllic country-style getaway for horse-riding, hunting, biking, and other activities. The waters of Cornisa Cantabrica are perfect for salmon fishing.
My father and I have talked for several years about exploring Asturias and Salas, in particular, to learn about the history of our family. Staying in this 14th century building added to the overall experience. The room was very nice, and the courtyards (inside and out) fragrant with roses and hydrangeas. Thank you to the staff for taking good care of us and making our stay special. The Museo Valdes Salas, which is attached to the hotel, is well worth a visit. Salas’ influence through the millennia is clearly important to the history of the region and to Spain. Bravo to the owners for preserving both castle, tower and museum!

We had our wedding in this beautiful place. It is such a shame it is run by incompetent and bad people. A week before our wedding we got told we couldn’t have fireworks despite us asking IN WRITING if we could have them 8 months before and them saying yes! Also they wanted to charge us 300 euros more for our stay just because the woman we negotiated the price with didn’t work there anymore so they couldn’t honour the price she stated even though we had a contract with that price?! (In the end they did but on THE DAY OF THE WEDDING they where discussing this with me which is unacceptable) Also we hired the venue EXCLUSIVELEY for 3 days and the owners where there too having their summer family party which was also unacceptable. So many bad things to say but don’t have the time to write it all - what a shame as it’s such a beautiful place. BEWARE of them trying to charge you more a week before your wedding ( apparently it costs money to use their fairy lights that are already on outside ...it costs €150 to turn on) Oh and one more thing BEWARE of them asking you to pay in cash 3 days before your event. We refused to pay in cash but that’s how this venue works apparently they just don’t tell you until the last minute...

The AsturXana Country House is a village house located in a picturesque mountain village, Malleza, between Pravia and Salas (Asturies, Spain). This Country House was built in the 17th century. It used to be the rector’s house in Malleza, therefore all the neighbours know it by the name La Rectoral. Nowadays AsturXana is a holiday rental Country House, perfect to go on holiday with children in this lovely area of Asturies: in the gardens of this Country House and its wonderful surroundings, your children will be able to play and enjoy nature outdoors. We offer the chance to rent the whole Country House or to rent the rooms that you need for your accommodation. In both cases you will be comfortable like at home, with all the services of a holiday accommodation available for you at the same time: car park, breakfast, transfers, laundry service, babysitting service, etc.

I was well received with a lovely coffee and the cat who jumped on my lap. Prices are good and the house is amazingly renovated. Lovely furniture and little details make the stay a different experience from the usual pilgrim's albergue.

Everything was perfect. My partner and I spent the weekend before xmas in this lovely place in the heart of Asturias which is a really beautiful region in the north of Spain. We stayed in the house III where you can find all you need for a comfortable stay. Surrounding by mountains, forests, rivers and full of animals you can experience their gastronomy, relaxing walks, hiking and the stunning views. Mr Prieto is a really nice person, always keen on providing a proper rural experience. He has a farm with a friendly and cute variety of animals that will introduce to you and explain everything you need to know about them. Looking forward to repeating this wonderful weekend away and enjoy again the beauty of this lands and the hospitality of Mr Prieto.

A nice place to visit Somiedo and Narcea and relax. We stayed in a three bed bedroom and it was really comfortable. The only problem was that the curtain was not vey thick. The bar-restaurant and the garden are veru cozy and nice. There’s the possibility to wash the clothes. Wonderful
