A wonderfully idiosyncratic individual typically French small family run hotel, with the nautical theme you would expect overlooking the bay of St. Cast The room was a bit basic but clean and comfortable, the staff were friendly and helpful. And it "Boasts"the smallest bath I have ever seen

The views are spectacular, the toilets and showers are quite clean and there are a lot. The restaurant/take away has GREAT food for a reasonable price, the pool is nice and big enough, the bar is very cool, the evening program is quite entertaining. The city is close and the beach is within walking distance. We enjoyed our stay here!

A beautiful residence built in the 16th and 18th centuries, situated in a park that directly overlooks the sea. 5 bedrooms with private bath or shower and WC. 2 cottages to book for the week.
We discovered Chateau du Val d'Arguenon through a french syndication of estate properties operating B&B's: Bienvenue aux Chateau. Their motto is "You arrive as a guest and you leave as a friend." This could not have been more true of our stay with Olivier and Armelle de la Blanchardiere. Their family estate has breath-taking views of the sea and is perfectly situated for hiking or biking along the beautiful coast of Brittany. This lovely Breton couple are a wealth of information about their region, its history, dining, markets, outdoor activities and more.

Open all-year round, the fully renovated Hôtel de l'Espérance welcomes you in a friendly and peaceful atmosphere, in our seaside resort, Saint-Cast le Guildo. Located in downtown Saint-Cast le Guildo, only a few steps away from the beach, the hotel is close to shops and restaurants, perfectly situated to relax and enjoy local products.
Small, slightly old fashioned, typical french hotel. Our room was large and spacious with a window to the rear of the property and the bathroom had a window over the street at the front. The free wifi worked well. The breakfasts were good and plentiful. The bistro owned by the hotel also served good food and is worth a visit. We enjoyed our 4 night stay and thought 58 euro per night in high season was good value.

This VTF location is our second experience with the all-inclusive vacation company (not to be confused with the other French company VVF, which offers a camping experience in Saint-Cast). The L’hôtel des Bains was built in the late 19th-century, but has been updated, expanded and renovated many times in 140-or-so years, and it might be the ONLY hotel property directly on the Grand Plage. It feels pretty special, as nearly all of the other beachfront proprieties are private one-family residences, plus one marvelous municipal heated salt-water swimming pool just 2-streets from the hotel. We went in late October 2014 at the end of the season, and benefited from outstanding weather (above 20-degrees C), and enjoyed sun almost every day. Our party of 5 included a 6-year-old boy, his parents and grandparents, and we were nicely accommodated in 2 rooms, both on the 2nd floor, one with a nice balcony and sea-view. We went "pension complète" which means full catering of all meals, served at an assigned table in the bright and airy restaurant that faces on the sea. You take your starters, drinks and deserts from a buffet, and the main plates for lunch and dinner is served hot from the kitchen. There is almost always pasta available for picky children not happy with the main on offer. It's all standard French fare, and on Wednesday they had an excellent "crepe night" which were made fresh in front of you. For any lunch or dinner, with 48-hours notice, you have the option of ordering raw oysters at the price of 6-for-8-euros, which was really worth it. All the VTF vacation locations organize daily activities, and a kids club for various ages. The kids club is very flexible and you don't have to put your child with the club for all sessions. The daily activities mainly consist of going for walks in the local area, which in the case of Saint-Cast-le-Guildo means clifftop walks along the wild coast to see nearby sights, led by one of the friendly hotel managers. Some of these are not suggested for children, and that's where the kids club comes in handy, so the parents can go off and do something. The hotel has a large private garden at the rear where small children can safely play, and there is a kid's club in a cozy room in the hotel basement. When the weather is good, the kids club is conducted outdoors. The change in sea level from low-tide to high-tide is impressive in Saint-Cast, and is a regular topic of conversation. Some of the walks must be completed within a 3-hour window at low tide, such as the one one the ocean floor along a small archipelago to "L'îles des Ebihens", a private island. The hotel has free WiFi that works in all the common areas, but at the slow pace of 0.45 Mbps. To compare, in a big city, you might be used to 8.00 Mbps at home or work. Our family flew on RyanAir from London Stansted to the small airport at Dinard, France, and it's about 30-minutes by car from the airport to Saint-Cast-le-Guildo.

Stayed here for 1 night courtesy of our family for my husbands birthday. We had already seen the rooms on a previous visit for lunch so, we chose a top floor sea view room. Basic hotel but, very clean and a fabulous view of the beach at St Cast. The breakfast was great, so much choice and the staff are lovely and really friendly. Loved our stay and will definitely go back. Returned for lunch the following week.

Well located 600m of the charmed downtown with all shops, restaurants and lounge, 250m of the long fine sand beach, 150m to the summer market. Choose your accomodation: 1,2 or 3 bedrooms mobilhome, campervan or camping pitches. Opening time: 15th of March to 15th of November
I stayed at Les Mielles thinking that based on the price it would be a fairly cheap and cheerful site. However, I was delighted with the faciilities, (including the swimming pool and regular visits from outside caterers). The site is only 10 to 15 minutes walk from the town centre where you will find everything you need. It is 5 minutes from the superb beach and on market days you only have to cross the road to experience authentic and extensive open air french market.
