St. Andrews by-the-Sea, New Brunswick, is home to the landmark Algonquin Resort, an elegant hotel set atop a hill overlooking the Bay of this coastal town. The Algonquin blends old world charm with modern luxury and is one of Canada's premium historic seaside resorts. Architected in a unique ' Tudor-style' and sometimes dubbed the 'Castle bay-the-Sea', this property has welcomed iconic leaders, world royalty, celebrities, high flyers and the like. The resorts heritage is portrayed in antique furniture decor and black and white historical photo's. This seaside jewel is a hop-skip-and-jump from the welcoming town of St. Andrews which offers a wealth of local opportunities with lavish gardens and a prominent retail district. Rooms are configured into 233 rooms and suites and respect the resort heritage while portraying a fresh and modern aura. My Algonquin patio room was a viewing marvel. The taupe and olive colour palette created a great backdrop for the magnificently upholstered headboard and framed artwork. Plush carpets created a cozy atmosphere and the room was outfitted with the usual high-tech appliances and a wooden work desk. A telescope graced the space appropriately for night time star gazing. The bath was special with lighted make-up mirror, granite countertops and glass walled shower. Braxton's Lounge is the signature restaurant at the Algonquin providing room service or 'sit down' extraordinary cuisine. It serves upscale meat and fish entree's like scallop risotto, Filet Mignon along with smart wine pairing and stellar views of the property's well manicured grounds. I ate anything with fish, like chowder, halibut, lobster and other seasonal sea creatures.....probably the catch of the day...perfect dishes in freshness and flavour throughout. Service was spot on. The Algonquin features an outdoor swimming pool with a whirlpool plus an indoor pool with a 3 story water slide (for kids) and 4 tennis courts dot the property. The 18-hole golf course is it's tour de force; however, as it is regularly ranked amongst the best greens in Canada while offering stellar seaside views. The Algonquin Spa is another highlighted facility offering an array of relaxing massages, facials, and therapies and also includes a fitness centre. I decided to splurge on a Fusion Stone Aroma Massage, a hot stone treatment with a flowery kick and powerful relaxation sensation. If you want to stay at a flagship property in St. Andrews, rich in history with exemplary accommodations, culinary delights and a top-notch golf course ............ ....then try the .........Algonquin Resort.........Historic, Elegant Seaside Haven.

Seaside Beach Resort

The Seaside Beach Resort is owned and operated by David Sullivan and Beth Campbell. We have had the property since 1995. We offer 24 housekeeping units in downtown St. Andrews, New Brunswick. These consist mainly of apartment units in houses, and there are four cabins. All are located on the same lot, all are self-contained, with their own entrances, kitchens and bathrooms, and are equipped for basic daily living, with dishes, cutlery, bedding and towels supplied as a matter of course. We have 200 feet of waterfront footage spanned by a large boardwalk and backed by a large open yard. Not everything has a water view, but nothing is far away. The yard comes equipped with a number of picnic tables and charcoal barbecues for general use, and some units have their own. There is a supermarket just a few blocks toward town centre on Water Street, a five minute walk from the property. The Town Wharf, out of which the various whale-watching companies operate, is also just a few minutes by fo

Wonderful Inn one block from the main street. Be careful not to get a room on the side where the trucks go for the local grocery store. The owner John was very attentive. We had the Diana R room which was the top floor ( no one on top of us) but a long way up with luggage. Breakfast included but way too much sugar products. Decor, like most of this type of inns, was slightly dated but very clean.

Found this lovely motel in St Andrews, NB. The Picket Fence Motel is super clean and the owners are friendly and helpful. Close to downtown, you can walk anywhere to take in the sights. The motel has been there for a long time and only two families have owned it in the last 100 years which they will celebrate in 2023. Many renovations have been done since then, of course. It's affordable, clean, and all you need for a good place to sleep.

What a unique experience

My husband and I stayed at The Kennedy Inn June of 2022 and what a unique experience it was. This inn was built in 1881 and is the oldest summer hotel in Canada. It is so quaint and so beautiful and immaculately clean. It has so much character. The staff were just awesome, so genuine and truly accommodating. Our special thanks to our new friend Moe Basque. And they have live entertainment every Saturday night and lively it was! The draft was so good and Josh Osborne was so greatly talented and so much fun with the audience. The bed and pillows were so comfy, neither one of us tossed and turned like we do at home. We hope to get back for another Saturday night’s fun there. After everything we have all been through the past couple of years, it was a welcome reprieve. Thanks to everyone at the Inn. Sheldon and Shelley MacLeod from Riverview, NB

This is our preferred stay in Saint Andrews. Don and his wife are so friendly, and down to earth. The morning coffee will make even a non coffee drinker start drinking coffee, and the breakfast is second to none. The house is having some renovations done to it, but that does not bother us. The rooms are comfortable. It is a bot out of Saint Andrews, but driving in is not a problem and there is always parking somewhere downtown. If we don't get back again this year,,,,, we will be back next..
