The name "Pakaritampu" derives from the Quechua words "pakari" which means "dawn" and "tampu" wich means "home"..Pakaritampu Hotel is located in the Sacred Valley in the village of Ollantaytambo to 2minutes from the train station with direct connection to Machupicchu. The town of Ollantaytambo is the starting point of the Inca Trail, a beautiful place thatoffers various tourist attractions.
Researching hotels in Olly was interesting. I wanted something with some decent amenities and good value. Well this place was fantastic! Service was outstanding. Amenities were great, room was cozy. My wife always ask for AC in rooms, as we are from Florida, so I was concerned, but you don't need AC, the cooler temperatures at night make it more then cool enough. We had a rental car and we had 2 day MP tour. So we were worried about where we could leave the car while we stayed in AC for one night. We asked the hotel and they allowed us to keep it in there gated parking lot even though we were only staying with them 1 night. This was so helpful and appreciated! The service from the gentlemen at the front desk was exceptional! They helped us with our bags, Breakfast was available at 5am so we could eat before our tour. Rooms were everything we needed and more. The hotel grounds were beautiful! All the places in Olly are in walking distance and the train station is just a 2 or 3 minute walk. Highly recommend this place!

We stayed at Aranwa Sacred Valley for four nights in May, for my sister’s wedding. There were six of us in our group and every member of the staff, from the front desk to the laundry, were incredibly kind, helpful, and fast. We were especially blown away by Fiorela, who took care of us each afternoon and evening and Gualberto, who made breakfast wonderful each morning. If you’re looking for a beautiful place to stay with impeccable service, look no further than Aranwa.

Located on the Ollantaytambo train station, El Albergue is only one train stop away from Machu Picchu and close to many interesting attractions. El Albergue dates back to 1925 and maintains the charm and elegance of the early 20th century while offering modern day requirements such as free high speed internet and in-room telephones. Owned by artist Wendy Weeks, this hotel has beautiful gardens, delicious food featuring ingredients sourced from the on property organic farm, coffee roastery, cañazo distillery and special attention to decor. Room rates include 2 guests, any additional guests will be and added charge.
We stayed at El Albergue for three nights. The hotel is inside the rail station. First the good - the room we stayed in was spotlessly clean. The restaurant was decent and the wait staff friendly. When we checked out, we were presented with a pair of clay bulls - which was a very nice touch. Our main gripe with our stay is the room we were in. We had booked a superior room with balcony. Hotel’s. website described the room as tucked away in the gardens away from the rail station. Our room (24) was tucked in between the rail station and what seemed like a couple of staff only building that emanated hammering noises dawn to dusk. The picture and description of our room say it is a 430 sqft room, consisting of a queen and a twin bed, with a seating area, desk and fireplace. And what looks like a large balcony with a couple of armchairs. Our room only fit one king bed and a desk , no sign of seating area, well short of the 430 sqft that was advertised. We had a balcony that had only one armchair, inadequate for the two of us. Either the hotel’s description is disingenuous or the reception gave us the wrong room. When we brought this to front desks attention, we were told our room is indeed superiors balcony with Mountain View, and that she will talk to the manager. When we inquired in the evening, the front desk did not seem to know of our complaints and proceeded to educate us on the different room types. And that she would talk to the manager next day. At that point we just gave up and bided our time until checkout. We never did see the elusive manager in our three night stay there. The room we were provided had no hanging space. None! We essentially used door knobs for hanging our jackets. One minor gripe- the first two days during our stay, the bathroom only had two bath towels. We thought this was a bare bones hotel and didn’t think to ask. On our last day housekeeping left bath, hand and face towels. The hotel is excellent for a one night stay to or from Machu Picchu. We were hoping to recharge in a beautiful surrounding for a few days, which did not happen. Had I known we would not get the room we paid for, we certainly would not have stayed here. We checked out feeling disappointment in our overall experience with the hotel.

The Sacred Valley's most complete hotel: a mountain chalet-styled retreat with panoramic Andes views from every room and every angle. On more than 8 landscaped acres, it breathes an air of tranquility and relaxation. Unique among Sacred Valley hotels - most of which remain isolated in the valley, offering precious little for guests to do - it contains an extraordinary, full-service "Sacred-Spa", a domed Planetarium-&-Observatory for stargazing in the massive Southern-Hemisphere sky, and gourmet restaurant and bar.
Rooms are clean, very courteous staff, the front desk, the restaurant servers, the groundskeepers. Andean food was excellent. Very accommodating in arranging taxi service. Not to forget the highlight of our stay, feeding the baby alpacas.

The whole experience at Hotel Valle Sagrado was excellent, and the staff were on top of our every need. And the fact that there is medical staff on site really helped when my son became affected by altitude sickness. The medical team was very attentive and quick in ensuring my son was on the road to recovery.

The hotel offers 36 weel equipped rooms with balcony/terrace, Wi Fi and buffet brekfast included. Guests can enjoy the restaurant, spa and gardens.
We absolutely loved our 8 days at Tierra Viva. The room was spacious and our view was fantastic. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet every day we were there. The landscaping and layout were first rate. I can’t say enough nice things about the staff. Everyone was so helpful and housekeeping did a great job. I’m embarrassed to say one day I accidently left a LOT of local currency sitting out beside our room safe - I had intended to put it inside but rushed out without completing the job. When we returned to the room that night, the room was spotless and not a cent was missing. The front desk staff was always friendly and helpful. Even though we were far from any sizeable city, language was not a barrier. I highly recommend Tierra Viva. My wife and I would go back in a heartbeat!
