From the brightly painted buildings and fishing boats that line the seafront, to the hilltop baroque church that stands watch over old town—it’s no wonder Rovinj is one of the most-photographed coastal towns along Croatia’s Istrian Peninsula.

There is a lot that is good about this hotel but it starts and finishes with the view. It's incredible and is maximised in the way the hotel is layed out. The rooms are a good size and the staff are very friendly and helpful. It's a short walk into the town and also to the local gravel beaches. The pool and spa areas are comfortable and have reasonable access hours. There are quite a few niggles though. The pillows are hideously uncomfortable-change them on the first night if you can-my husband can sleep anywhere and even he struggled. The rooms are spacious and have a small balcony which I am sure give good views when the green, planted roofs are maintained properly. There are directors chairs and a bench seat instead of anything comfortable, which really does not give a 5* vibe. Some nights you are given biscuits, some nights you are not. Service seems hit and miss throughout. The bath is not suitable for anyone shorter than 6ft tall but the bathroom is styled nicely and big enough. Breakfast is nice and varied but some of the freshly cooked items were not of a high quality. The pancakes were rubbery and the bacon is in fact a pork chop (could be a translation issue?). The public toilets on the whole were clean except for the ones right next to the dining room which were awful. We ate one evening in the hotel and I have to say this was a disappointment. We had far better quality and value food in the local town. It is possible that they are short staffed due to Covid and this may cause the lack of top notch service expected from a hotel of this nature. The view is it's saving grace-it's perfect. In fact the view is the only thing that was 5*star about this hotel. It's a shame as we were treating ourselves to an expensive break and it wasn't worth the money.

Enjoy a serene view of the quiet cove from your own balcony, only 10 minutes away from Rovinj`s Old Town or put your feet up in the lush garden around the pool before exploring the refined cooking in the Wine Vault restaurant.
The Monte Mulini is a very nice hotel, real 5 star. Room is spacious, very clean, with all amenities you may expect from this category. Breakfast was very good, pools are nice and the beach, just few steps in front of the hotel, really nice and very very well organized. Estefania, the beach manager, is a real added value to this place, great problem solver with lots of kindness and “savoire faire”. Thank you for making our time at the beach really great! We’ll sure be back for some more relaxing time!

Overall a lovely hotel, made extra special by the staff who truly want you to have the best experience. Only two gripes. Firstly, there are no tea and coffee facilities in the room. Tea is a basic human right and I don't want to have to get dressed to get it. Secondly, I don't smoke and I don't want smoke wafting into my room from next door balcony. Put those who want to smoke away from those who don't. This also applies to the restaurants. Pretty much every meal was curtailed by having to sit next to someone blowing smoke all over my meal. This is 2022 not 1972.

Transformed from a place to sleep into a place for dreamers, Hotel Adriatic is an intimate space bringing together curious minded travellers and local art inspired by the hotel's 100 year old heritage - a place where fantasy and reality intertwine.
Incredibly welcoming and knowledgable staff, lovely common areas and great dining room (despite the odd taxidermy owls)......lovely outdoor patio seating and perfect area for strolling after dinner, difficulty with our driver getting into the area but, once we were there, it was terrific!

A hotel of a unique position, premium service and rich tradition. Situated in the shade of the centuries-old Park Forest Zlatni Rt. The bay and beach are accessible through abundant greenery, a luscious lawn and beautiful outdoor swimming pools. Hotel Eden provides its guests with the opportunity to enjoy the all-round peace and relaxed atmosphere. It is characterized by exceptional quality and rich equipment of the rooms, ample and pleasant public areas, and terraces offering spectacular views. The hotel was last renovated in 2006 (halls and accommodation units).
I cannot praise this hotel enough. The location is superb, right next to a beautiful beach, surrounded by acres of forest land and only a 15 minute coastal walk to Rovinj town and harbour. It is all immaculate, from the marble lobby to the bedrooms and bathrooms and the pool area and grounds. It really is breath-taking. The room was not massive, but had lots of useful storage and a balcony which we used a lot. The dining room had a big choice of food - buffet style - which varied slightly each night. Although busy, we were always able to find a table and the waiters were friendly and polite and clearly worked very hard. We went on a dolphin watching trip at sunset and a day trip to Pula and Porec but other then that there was everything we needed in or near the hotel and town. A truly fantastic place to unwind.

Hotel Istra is an island of its own, a traffic free oasis of sea and sun, wonderful beaches and secluded spots, a ten minute boat ride from Rovinj.
We were very pleasantly surprised when taking a last minute holiday with Tui at the Hotel Istra. Yes, it can be very busy at meal times, but the well rehearsed staff maintained each of the buffet stations on a regular basis so there was no need to worry about not achieving your choice, of which ranged from salads, cold and hot meats, fish, pizzas, and many other items on offer. Ok the wine and beer that was included during the evening meal would not win any prizes, but it was drinkable. If like us you want to escape the poolside crowd, there are many ways to do this without leaving the island as there are several places hidden around the adjoining island that is accessible via a causeway, or you could find a quiet corner of the gardens next to the pool area. A good warm indoor pool also gives another option should the weather turn on the cold side. We loved the free hourly ferry that took us to the mainland which is well worth a visit to two with a local daily market and lovely side streets with many bars and cafes. Drinks on the mainland were not much cheaper than the hotel with a large beer at around £4 or a cocktail at less than £6. Some reviews have said that the rooms are very small, but this did not worry us as we had not gone on holiday to sit in a bedroom. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are maintained each day. I can thoroughly recommend this location. All in all, the location, staff, and food at this hotel was first class. Very enjoyable and relaxing holiday.

The Family Hotel Amarin is situated on a green peninsula, only a few minutes' drive from the centre of Rovinj. With its pebbly and rocky beach, Amarin is an ideal place for a carefree family vacation.
Best family hotel! Everything was just perfect. Maybe one little minus was that coffee for the breakfast wasn’t very tasty ? but we will definitely go there again! Room big enough, everything clean a perfect entertainment for kids…see you next year Amarin

Situated on a beautiful island, a stone throw from the Rovinj City centre, Hotel Katarina is a romantic getaway surrounded by a lush 19th century garden that offers perfect vistas of the Old Town and Punta Corrente Park forest.
Lovely hotel, we had great views over old town Rovinj from our room. It was a great experience being on an island, full of beautiful trees and shrubs. The ferry was great, although you do have to be conscious of the timings otherwise you have to wait another hour. The buffet breakfast was amazing! Kind of spoilt for choice there were so many options. Only criticism is the morning we left, we needed to get the 7am ferry over to the mainland. So as not to miss it we arrived early as it sometimes docks on the other side of the island. I asked the reception manager if we could get a coffee while we waited to which he replied no, you have to wait until breakfast starts at 7am. That wasnt an option so we waited there with no drink and also had no help getting our luggage down the huge flight of steps as the porter hadn't started work. Apart from that we enjoyed our stay.

The new Hotel Arupinum is located at the edge of the Park Forest Zlatni rt, a favorite destination of many recreationists and nature lovers. The hotel's location is ideal for couples and families. The hotel is away from the city centre ten minutes’ walk along the coast. Arupinum as a hotel of modern architecture and interior design offers 20 high quality, 26 square meters rooms with balcony.
The property is not located in there very downtown but quite close. We enjoyed walking from the hotel to the old town along the sea. Our room was comfortable and big enough. The breakfast was fine and the staff nice and friendly. We are satisfied.
