Reviewed By natura24I stay atbthis hotel for 3 nights to see all the beatiful places near Douro river. Service was very good. The breakfast was amazing with lots of different things and some o them specialities from that Region. A place to visit again

Super quality for money - only breakfst was a bit dull
Reviewed By Kirstine1984This 2-star hotel is nicely situated in the small village of Caldas de Aregos close to the river. Rooms and super clean and good, and sleep quality is also very good. Internet is better than most other laces we went in this region, and staff is very friendly. Only thing I can comment on during our stay was breakfast, which was ok, but not impressive, but good enough to get you going for the day :-) I would definitely stay here another time.

The Quinta do Outeiro is a beautifully restored manor house in the heart of Portugal's Douro valley. Nestling within its own five hectares (twelve acres) of cultivated farmland, it has several thousand fruit trees, extensive vineyards, and some stunning views into the valley. As well as four en-suite bedrooms in the main house and two large cottages in the grounds, we offer our guests historic formal gardens, a sanctified chapel, and pool terrace.

Reviewed By fitlikeandyMy wife and I stayed on the b&b basis using the Quinta as a base to explore the Douro Valley. Very comfortable accommodation, continental breakfasts were superb, garden and views oustanding. Filipe, Tatiana and Vania couldn't do enough for us and I can't recommend it highly enough. Hopefully the Quinta will be able to label their wine soon and not be delayed further by local bureaucracy! All in all just a wonderful experience.

The place is nice&clean, rooms are basic but comfy, the owner is very attentive&welcomed us with tasty home-made dezert and port wine, the price is great!..

Booking Confirmation Not Honoured.........Initially!
Reviewed By Slight-FadeLocated in a lovely location on the Douro River. The rooms are above it's own restaurant. We had written confirmation of a double room with a river view ( to be honest it's not a great river view being some way back from the water's edge ). We were shown to a room at the back of the building that looked out on a cliff face that I could almost touch from the window. I complained but the response was they didn't have any of the rooms we booked available. The staff weren't overly concerned about this. However our TV didn't work and after a couple of members of staff trying for some time to get it going they brought another set that also didn't work. We were told it was the socket that was the problem and would would need to change rooms if we wanted TV. I asked to see the room first and lo and behold it was a room at the front with a river view. Something a bit fishy going on there. On the plus side we ate in the restaurant which was good as was the breakfast. It was a shame this stay started off so badly.

Breathtaking Views
Reviewed By Gerry OWe were blown away by the views of the Duoro river and vines. The breakfast was excellent and the service was very friendly, courteous and informative. Our accommodation was in a lodge adjacent to the main house which offered great privacy and our own patio.

Reviewed By Nuno TEstive já por diversas vezes neste alojamento e isso é o melhor que posso dizer. Sou sempre recebido de forma calorosa, sentindo-me verdadeiramente em casa. O alojamento dispõe de três casas totalmente equipadas, com possibilidade de realizar refeições. As áreas interiores são espaçosas. Os estores não vedam completamente a luz solar. Em termos de áreas comuns, possui uma piscina exterior de dimensão significativa e uma área para churrasco e refeição exterior. É possível fazer uma caminhada pelas áreas circundantes. Situa-se a não mais do que 10 minutos da cidade de Resende e a 20 minutos da estação de comboios mais próxima (Ermida, linha do Douro). Recomendo igualmente uma visita ao restaurante Recanto dos Carvalhos, na Gralheira, a cerca de 30 minutos de carro.

Exceptional Stay in Douro Valley!!!!!!!
Reviewed By 517priyakThis is one of the best stays I had in Europe so far. Facilities, services are similar to a 5-star property. Big spacious washroom and bedroom with all the best amenities and toiletries. We had the one-bedroom with external jacuzzi. This room also had an outdoor seating arrangement which total enhances the experience. The view from the rooms and the pool are calming. The property layout is set in a step format with benches and swings for the guest to enjoy the view. They also had a good spread for breakfast. Both the ladies who checked us in were very friendly and helpful. They even allowed us to do a late check-out.
