Bayview - the beach resort is a four- star- boutique hotel. It is located on the idyllic Ngapali Beach in Myanmar's Rakhine State - its coastline forms part of the Bay of Bengal. The resorts' 45 deluxe bungalows and rooms including 2 suites are all situated either directly at the beach or in a beautiful exotic garden under countless palm trees.
I have been coming to this hotel for the over last 5 years as an expat living in Myanmar. This was an awesome and my favorite hotel in Ngapali. Great rooms, even better breakfast, very comfortable and cozy beach area, amazingly hospitable staff. Except heavily overprized (like the rest of good hotels at Ngapali), everything was perfect. However, due to the C-19 and military coup, the whole hospitality sector in Ngapali (and the rest of the country) have been hit hard, and they lost a significant chunk of the international tourists, while expats and Myanmar tourists are still coming. Unfortunately (for internationals & expats), it seems that the hotel is changing their target group, thus they appointed a new Myanmar manager, and attempting to attract Myanmar tourists more. This was also reflected in a new policy that guests in the hotel's open bar at the beach "must be dressed properly and wear shirts/t-shirts" when having a drink during the day. While I do respect local customs, it is really hot to seat fully dressed in a baron the beach. I wish best for this hotel, and hope they will have more tourists and retain their international character.

Yoma Cherry Lodge is a boutique hotel with 15 bedrooms. Set in a beautiful garden amidst palm trees, on Kiplings Bay, Ngapali, the hotel is situated on a a beautiful beach. Each morning, guests can watch the fishing boats come in with their catch of the day, and in the evening you can watch the boats sailing out to sea, whilst sipping a cocktail and watching the sunset. The beach is very quiet and there is only one other hotel located on the beach. The sea is crystal clear and wonderful to swim or snorkel. The hotel has a restaurant overlooking the beach where you can eat fresh seafood, local Myanmar food or it also has some western dishes. Our massage pavilion is a great place to totally relax. Our staff are friendly and efficient and the whole Yoma Cherry team wish you a wonderful holiday here.
We love staying at Yoma Cherry, and have done so now on several occasions. It is a beautifully designed hotel on a pristine cove a bit north of the "main" beach at Ngapali. The restaurant looks over the beach and is a great spot to watch the fishing boat action at either end of the day. The very comfortable rooms are at the back of the stunning, tranquil garden that has a lawn like a putting green, The owner, Sue, is a one-woman NGO who runs an English school for 800 (!) kids, and various other community programmes like "Trash Heroes" (hence the pristine beaches). She deserves to be supported, but the guests in her beautiful hotel are the real winners.

What a beautiful property. Our room was the most ordinary one they have I think, and it was just amazing, on the lagoon. Very quiet stretch of beach. Lovely pool. Gym was pretty decent. Really nice rooftop bar. Excellent service!

At the end of a long tour of Myanmar we knew we'd appreciate and enjoy some R&R so we had booked a 6 night extension, flying the short hop from Yangon to Ngapali to chill out for a few days on a nice beach with warm sunshine. The arrival at Ngapali Bay (and Aye Aye will remember this!) was somewhat traumatic as for a number of reasons we had presented ourselves at the Ngapali Beach hotel who knew nothing about us whilst Aye Aye was wondering where on earth we were … it took a few hours to resolve (inc. phone calls to London) with tour operator acknowledging their administrative error ! Anyway, we eventually arrived at Ngapali Bay to a caring, warm welcome from Aye Aye who truly is a credit to the hotel business - friendly, efficient, knowledgeable and helpful. It didn't take long to check-in after a refreshing greeting drink and we were taken to our villa (Number #7) where the holiday started after all the travelling … such a fantastic room greeted us - through saloon doors from the pathway, just past the small private swimming pool, shoes off and in we went - 4 poster bed with full mosquito netting, loads of space, side view to the ocean, free standing bath, separate shower room, comfy sofa to watch the TV (not a priority!) and free Wi-Fi. Each villa is allocated it's associated sunbeds and sunshade on the beach from which you can 'flag' if you need a drink or snack. Magical ! Excitedly we quickly found our bearings by a stroll around the hotel grounds - lush tropical vegetation (carefully manicured), ponds with fountains, pathway lighting, colourful arrays of hanging baskets and Villa #7 just a few paces away from a wonderful white sand beach. The restaurant area overlooking the beach/ocean (great for a sundowner, looking to the West) is elevated above the sand and is simply so decadent to enjoy a casual breakfast - a good selection of foods here with many regional dishes which we prefer though you can order more European hot items if you wish. The juices were also good, coffee variable so ask for the Americano and you get an individually brewed one which is strong/dark, possibly too strong for some. The only criticism, or perhaps call it a service improvement opportunity, we can make based on our experience is that the service at breakfast could be unpredictable with some orders 'mixed up' or simply forgotten and hot food arriving half way through the rest of the meal which was a bit irritating - easily remedied with training / process review and greater experience of the delightful staff.. Some comfortable sofas to the side face the sea and after breakfast we enjoyed casually reading the daily 'newspaper' produced by Bilal who is a very interesting chap to get into conversation with and does a great job in complementing Aye Aye. It is also a good place to enjoy a cold beer or cocktail - there is a draught Premier Mandalay beer or bottled Mandalay if your prefer that (I think bottled stays colder for longer and is more consistent) - Anthony the barman speaks excellent English and is really obliging and can make drinks to order and understands well the products he plies to guests. The beach is great - gently shelving and facing the sea to the right provides a fabulous run on the harder sand near the waters edge to the end and back of just 3 miles and can be much enjoyed - plenty people doing this on a daily basis but start early as the temperature soars. To the left there are a few beach stalls selling local craftwork and souvenirs. The 'town' itself is linear with bars / restaurants and shops lining a relatively busy beach road - Tuk Tuks are readily available but if you need one have a word with Aye Aye because she knows a good one ! The hotel has a lovely swimming pool which we only found on the last day so don't miss that one! In saying that we loved our little private pool and 'retired' there late afternoon to catch the last few sun rays from our sunbeds on the patio. We have fond memories of the Ngapali Bay, its staff and the whole experience of staying in such a wonderful, small hotel which provides personal service from the heart. Thank you all so much for making our holiday special and we hope that you are all keeping safe at this difficult time.

Our resort is nestled amongst coconut palms on the pristine beach front where its 59 villas and cottages are scattered throughout the 6 acres of 450 meters long beach frontage and tropical gardens, most with ocean views. The resort's design concept is based on traditional South East Asia elegance, which is beautifully displayed thanks to the usage of local materials of various kinds of hard wood, stone carving and marble. The hotel interiors have been decorated with furnishings and fittings that were designed and produced exclusively for The Sandoway Resort.
Beautifuĺ resort, fabulous cottage, staff super kind and always at your service....The only negative point is like across all the hotels here in Nagpali, they don't propose any activities... Anyway, it's a very nice place to get rest....

Nestled on the most beautiful beach in Myanmar, 45 minutes away from bustling city of Yangon by air and 5 minutes drive from Sandoway Airport, Amazing Ngapali Resort is ultimate hedonistic resort that redefines escapism in its beauty, luxury and conception. The view from the lobby takes in the gentle waves and allowing its guests an exhilarating feeling of spaciousness and an affinity with the natural surroundings, lushly landscaped gardens and pool.
Amazing Ngapali Resort was one of the first hotels which opened for vacation during Covid 19. We flew from Yangon. It is understandable that during these difficult times and having just openend there was room for improvment in service and cleanliness. The rooms are spacious, with beautiful furniture and nice bathrooms. The views are amazing and so is the beach. Particularly if you have children. The breakfast buffet was good, the drinks are very tasty and the barkeeper is very nice. The management made great efforts. The snack menu for lunch could be more varied and the dinner menu was not competitive with the seafood restaurants in the area. Also in terms of value for money. Overall we recommend the hotel.

Have you heard about Lu Yee Chuns (outstanding students) in the history of Myanmar? The role of those Lu Ye Chuns critically played in the nation building process in our grand history and they were trained at many historical camps throughout the country. Those camps still remain much of unforgettable memories and one can still feel the undying theme of those outstanding students. And, Shwe War Chai Camp at Ngapali beach was one of those memorable camps in the history with long-lasting structure and unique design theme that would give the unique feeling. To provide the guests to feel grandeur theme and outstanding sketch of the history along with the modern society and natural environment, we modified the Shwe War Chai Lu Yee Chun Camp into Jade Marina Hotel facilitating the most exclusive amenities. The combination of modern and history architectures allows the guests to feel between the edges.
Stayed at the most expensive room for 3 nights. Staffs are rude, not helpful and not well trained. Very awful attitude. Terrible service. And the rooms are quite old and dark (not a romantic kinda way). Smell moldy. Would not recommend to anyone. Please choose another hotel. I wouldn’t go there again. The worst experience so far

The Amata resort & spa, Myanmar's most exclusive international beach resort, stretches along the beautiful shoreline of Ngapali, Myanmar's premier beach. The resort covers more than five acres of tropical wonderland and guests are luxuriously accommodated in eighty teak, bamboo, cane and rattan cabana, bungalows and suites. The resort is flanked by a 400 meter seaside boardwalk.
A good hotel with good services. The landscaping in the garden view is really nice and obviously show they put much effort in designing. Foods also really nice and the way they set up the couches and benches by the sea is really adorable. But I want some adult pools in deluxe rooms .Now swimming pools are small and shallow.

This was my third trip to Ngapali and my first experience on this particular beach (Ngapali has a few different beaches). As I prefer swimming in the ocean, as opposed to the pool, I was impressed with the fact that I could literally walk outside my room and go for a swim, as opposed to walking down the beach afraid of rocks or other boats. The staff at this property was outstanding, the oceanfront view amazing, and I was very sad when I had to leave. As someone who has lived in Myanmar for over 5 years and travelled the country far over, one of the best properties and experiences in Myanmar. David
