Welcome to “Posada del Parque” The park has 40 hectares with centenary-old trees, brought from different countries, native trees, gorges, small water falls, dunes, pine forest, humid soli with typical flora and fauna from our central zone and beaches. We invite you to this beautiful place, to enjoy nature on horse back, riding a mountain bike or by having an exciting trek.If you are one of those people who love to fish, we are happy to tell you that the beach and the humid soil are great places where you can practice this sport.
The location is off the beaten path and set on about 40 Hectares that abuts rolling sand dunes that lead to the Pacific. The concept behind the place is pretty cool. The grounds provide plenty of room for natural entertainment, some bird watching and room to 'roam around'. I'm sure it's a haven for the kids as they've got things like rope swings, slack lines, cargo net types of things to mess around with. The 'mountain biking' (free) is a bit misleading unless you like to ride through sand..., but I'm sure the horse riding might be a decent way to get around on all of those dunes - Horseback riding was $10,000. Pesos Per Person (about $15 USD at our exchange rate of 692 CLP to the USD Feb 2016). The staff was very friendly. The breakfast was very nice. The view is really nice as you can actually see the Pacific past the sand dunes, which I would've played that up from an advertising standpoint. It's a place to simply chill out and unwind for a while. The biggest down side for us was our room (#1). Although it was clean and comfortable, it smelled of mildew or mold to the point we checked out after the first night of a two night reservation at a 25% cash loss (we had prepaid the first day). Of note: As it sits on a channel of still water the mosquitoes were pretty bad in the evening. The WiFi was pretty spotty as well. All in all it was a decent little place to relax for a day or so, but don't expect anything plush : )

By the sea, in the far north end of the beach of Ritoque, the hotel possesses an unparalleled view of the beach, waves, dunes and forests. The concept is ecological, sustainable, simple and functional. Built completely of wood, with clean and edgy architecture, the design maximizes natural light and scenic views from the heights of its stilts and its large rooftop terrace. With a cozy atmosphere and modern style, it is the perfect retreat from city noise. Enjoy this natural setting, where the sea meets the mountains...
My wife and I choose La Ritoquena based on a favorable citing by Lonely Planet, near the end of a long trip in Chile, when relaxation was at the top of our list. La Ritoquena is a six room guesthouse owned and operated by a lovely couple, Diego and Dayenu. Diego speaks excellent English and is very engaging. He is also an excellent chef. We spent four nights here in March and were the only guests, the start of the offseason, except for our last night, which was a Saturday night. La Ritoquena is right on the beach, in fact at the northern end of a beautiful beach that goes on for miles and miles and is virtually empty. The rooms are in three duplexes, each with rooms top and bottom, with a shared bath on the landing between the two rooms. It was not at all an issue to share the bathroom on the one night there were guests in the other room. Our room was somewhat on the small side but was clean, comfortable, and modern, with a small balcony looking out on the beach and crashing surf. There are two small restaurants on the beach, but we elected to have three of our four dinners at La Ritoquena and Diego delighted us with Pisco sours and delectable three-course meals. During our stay, we did all three activities sponsored by the hotel. We rode fat tire bicycles and then horses down the pristine beach. We also had a wonderful yoga class with their next door neighbor, Sharon. She actually got me to stand on my head for the first time in 50 years! My wife and I were sad to leave at the end of our stay because we were really starting to feel like family.

No volveremos !!!!
