Queens is the most ethnically diverse area of its size on Earth, which means there's a little something for everyone. Chow down on Indian food, sit in on a traditional Irish pub music session, and dance the night away at a Puerto Rican nightclub, all of it located within a few subway stops. Queens is also the home of the Mets and the US Tennis Open, and the former home of the New York World's Fair, now Flushing Meadow-Corona Park, and Paramount Pictures, now the Museum of the Moving Image.

Decent room, but so noisy ! The fridge in the room made a loud droning sound - didn’t bother complaining as we arrived late and left early. No room service offered which is disappointing (esp when you arrive on a late flight). The staff at breakfast were very friendly. They hotel did charge me incorrectly but this was sorted when I called back to complain.

This hotel could use a refresh. It is an airport hotel, and we would not have chosen it if we hadn't experienced an unexpected flight delay at LGA. But it was close by, and we often stay in SHS, so we are familiar with the room layouts and with the usual service. The staff at check-in were very helpful--it was late and I could tell it had been a long day. They were obviously preparing for a flood of guests coming from the airport, but they found us our room and took us there to make sure it had been turned over (their systems were down, and they couldn't see what was available/clean). The room had been cleaned, but it was not, "clean." It smelled like mildew and the carpet was filthy. But we stayed the night and were fine. We ate breakfast at the hotel, since there aren't a lot of options nearby. And we took the excellent shuttle to the airport--the driver was just as friendly and accommodating as the hotel staff.

Whether you have come to NY for Business or leisure you will be greeted with a warm welcome and our hospitality will exceed your expectations at the LaGuardia Plaza Hotel. We are located directly across from LaGuardia Airport and eight miles from JFK Airport.
We were given a link to a website to book this hotel after our flight was canceled, while we were at the airpot. We booked and paid for the reservation and went to the hotel. The desk staff informed the many people waiting on this long slow line that even if they booked, if it was "third party" then they may not have a reservation. Further, they used this "third party" excuse for everything, including the slowness, not providing receipts, and overall the lack of rooms even if people booked far in advance. Many people had booked weeks ago and had no rooms and had to sleep in the lobby. We got our room, and the woman who checked us in was extremely rude, and said that "third party" was not their problem, that no hotels provide receipts or guarantees with "third party." Meanwhile nobody knew this, I explained we got this link at the airport and the hotel works with these "third parties" obviously and that we paid for the room. They told us and everyone that if we had a problem we would have to contact the "third party." In the morning they struggled to call a taxi, not even knowing the numbers, and this is right next to the airpot! For nearly $300 for the one night, this was all surprising. Such an awful experience, never would we stay here again.

I stayed here with 2 friends and had a 3-person room, but the double bed was very small. We had a huge balcony and the space to make our breakfast downstairs. The staff was very friendly and we could store our luggage while we we in New York. Good price-quality ratio. Close to a grocery store and 2 subway stations.

The hotel needs to be renewed. Personnel of the reception inadequate. Drivers of the shuttle not polite. Room clean (but it is the minimal requirement). No shampoo and soap in the room (I asked two times). Restaurant seems to be dirty with some flies. There are more hotels close to the airport that provide a better service and structure.

They canceled my room last minute even though I already reserved and paid for the room. I had to then find another hotel last minute which is very expensive. I don't know why they couldn't keep my room reserved for me. They didn't help me find other accommodations either.
