Not appreciated on the TV content and it's video quality in guess room. There is very limited choice of foreign channel for selection. HBO in poor video quality. I think it is due to the old and poor tv distribution system used. No news channels, no BBC, no CNN, no National Geographic channel, no Discovery channels .

Very Bad Impression
Reviewed By Christine TWe stayed at the hotel for 3 days,2 nites, the front desk was not friendly at all, we politely ask question, they replied without looking at us in a very rude way. We dine in their hotel restaurant, the waitress was terribly rude. Will never come back to this hotel. The decoration may rate few stars but the service was not worth at all.

Reviewed By Andy72SThe hotel is well furnished and the rooms clean and large. This is a five star hotel and well appointed throughout. The reception was welcoming and if you’re expected then relatively easy. The restaurant is located adjacent to the lobby and evening is buffet style with lots to chose from and typical for China. Lunch was available in the bar but despite a selection of western and other cultures foods. When ordering many where not available. A shame as the staff tried very hard to please and were friendly.

Unbelievable - and not in a good way
Reviewed By penguin3There is only 1 positive thing I can say about this hotel, the rooms are large. Almost everything else posted on their website, on signs in the hotel, and in the hotel information book in the room - is just false advertising. There is no Hot Spring available for guests at this hotel. There is no Spa at the hotel. Despite signs posted for "sauna", there is no sauna. The "Western" Restaurant serves almost no western food. There is a "Lantern Road". But the website does not mention it is across the river, and very difficult, if not impossible, to walk to. It is on a hilltop. Which sounds nice. But in reality, it means it is impossible to walk to anywhere from the hotel. If you put the do no disturb sign on your door, it does not matter, they come in anyway. If you check the box for shirts to be returned on hangers, they arrive in packages, and still need to be ironed. The staff is friendly. But since they do not speak English, they are not helpful. They could not even explain to me what the charges on my bill were for. The beds are very hard. Wi-fi - almost usable, sometimes. My advice, stay at the Double Tree by Hilton. It is not far from the GoodView. But you can walk to shops from there. The rooms are nice, the beds comfortable. It has a good size pool and a full service spa. For a cheaper price.
