Excellent Hotel on the Lake
Reviewed By Wesley CStayed here for 2 nights and was very impressed with the property. Super large room with King bed, free internet, free breakfast and in-room safe. Modern decor with lots of wood trim. Had bathrobe & slippers. Hotel is right on the lake with a view of Osorno volcano in the distance. One block from main shopping street. Breakfast buffet was fairly typical. Best part of our group dinner on the first night was the Pisco Sour -- the food was only OK. Second night, I ate in the bar and had a 4-cheese pizza which was very good but too much for 1 person. The staff was very accommodating. We were here during the October protests and were "stranded" here because our flight to Santiago was canceled. The staff was able to extend our stay and took good care of us throughout the crisis. We were very grateful for their hospitality and flexibility.

Reviewed By Pete BThis hotel has the feel of having seen better days. Don't get me wrong, it was fine for the purpose and we were in a suite too, so enjoyed the extra space and second bathroom. It has all the facilities you might want of a Spa, but it just feels a bit corporate and impersonal. The main irritation was being asked for our mobility pass at every turn, at breakfast, at dinner and even when ordering a coffee at the restaurant. Really!!!! Once should be enough when we checked in! The restaurant food was OK although the two items we ordered off the menu were not available and the breakfast fine. It just wasn't for us and we felt bit lacked atmosphere. Some people will like it though.

Reviewed By ALH57We stayed here for two nights on a Natural Wonders of Chile holiday with Llama Travel. On arrival we received a warm welcome and were quickly checked into our room which was clean, comfortable & enormous. The room had a safe, hairdryer, toiletries,sofa, large TV and plenty of storage space but unfortunately no tea or coffee making facilities. Breakfast was fantastic with a range of hot food plus mashed avocado, cheese, meats, yogurt, fresh fruit, pastries etc. I was very surprised to see Gluten free cakes and dairy free options. As a vegetarian I felt I had so much choice. The waiter also kindly filled our flask with hot water to which we added tea bags to compensate for the lack of facilities in our room. The hotel is in a great location a short walk to the lake and the museum. We took a public bus to Frutillar which was well worth a visit.

Beautiful historic hotel right on the lake
Reviewed By suschThe hotel is older but very charming and loaded with history. The view from our room of the lake and volcano was spectacular! The room was very comfortable and there are cozy public sitting areas tucked all throughout the hotel. The staff was very nice and helpful - we arrived several hours before check-in and they gladly held our bags and pointed out areas and restaurants in town we could go spend the morning enjoying. The breakfast in the lovely dining room was very good and the service there was fabulous. Highly recommend the Bellavista!

Reviewed By soyo52Beautiful, clean, good location, comfortable room. The best thing of this hotel is its helpful staff. When I was in panic to have missed the bus back to Santiago , they helped me to buy another ticket immediately and arranged a taxi to the bus terminal. Thanks to their prompt and professional attention , I was able to get back to Santiago without problem. For this great experience, I’d love to use this hotel again when I come to Puerto Varas.

Internet not functioning correctly

Sometimes I could not connect my device at all or when it did connect, it was at a speed of 1 or 2 mbps. Good enough for email but that’s it. The rooms are nice and the hotel is attractive though.

Hard pass on so many levels
Reviewed By maggiedanurse11 star. The only amenity they give you is a bath mat. The rooms are small and have curtains. Oh that’s another amenity they provide curtains. The hand soap by the sink comes from this tacky dispenser attached to the wall. The body soap in the shower is clearly watered down to expand its use. They provide some clear liquid that is labeled shampoo but it does not come out. With so many other places to stay in the area I would choose something else. I am only here because the company o booked my vacation thru had me staying here and I let them know I have stayed in better motel 8s in bento villa Arkansas. This is a hard pass for me. The breakfast is instant coffee and what we call continental nothing special lousy bread small meat and cheese pieces jam butter fruit yogurt cold cereal. Hot water for the instant coffee. Oh that’s another amenity they provide hot water for the instant coffee

Reviewed By FlyingFan1Overall a good (and unfortunately overpriced) hotel in a fantastic location, but with some shortcomings. The interior is showing its age and housekeeping isn’t very thorough. Complementary breakfast was basic but had everything you needed to start the day. The front desk staff are very friendly and helpful.
