We rented the Huttendorf cottage in Pruggern already twice for our annual hiking trip with family. The cottages are great, clean and very practically equipped. The views from cottages are stunning. The swimming pond is another great benefit for relaxing summer holidays. We did a lot of great hikes. I would highly recommend to have a car available to reach all the amazing trails and sights in the Dachstein neighborhood. The only disadvantage is that Huttendorf does not provide Schladming Sommer Card, so you have to pay for all the tourist attractions, where other local guests just show their sommer card.

This was my second stay in this family run hotel. Rooms are really nice, freshly renovated, 100% clean. The heated room for the skiing equipment and the sauna makes a skiing holiday even more enjoyable here. Staff is really helpful, especially Angéla, who made us feel like arriving home after each skiing day :) Pruggern is a tiny little town for sure, people do not come here for the town itself, but for winter or summer holiday in the mountains. By the way a railway station is 400m from the hotel and the skibus also stops quite close (150m).

We only stayed one night but can't fault it in this price range. The room was very clean and well appointed with a very smart bathroom. We were on half board and were very pkeasently surprised by the quality and quantity of food served. The owners are friendly and helpful. I used the sauna area which was spotlessly clean, I particularly liked the massage loungers which were much appreciated after a days skiing. The location is great for the Galsterburg ski area. I would certainly recommend this place.

Arrived late at mid night, parking was packed. There is no reception so all has been confirmed via e-mail. Our apartment was ready, incl the Dachstein Tauern Passes which offer plentiful of discounts and free entries for sightseeings and tours. We had a 2 bed room apartment with a huge living / kitchen room and balcony called Top8. Ideal for a week long stay in summer or winter. Fridge, coffee and tea maker, stove, crockery and glass - china ware for 6 people for self supply. Free parking. One bathroom and a separate WC. Home is really cozy and very tastefully decorated. WiFi was only available in the children room, did not reach other rooms - that was the only disappointment. The owner Mr Gruber was very welcoming and friendly, has lots of repeat business. Apartments are cleaned and pretty new ... You feel like home. Cozy, comfortable, safe and free ! Will definitely be back. They have a Buschenschenke in Graz as well, opened Thu - Fri ( serving cold delicacies with wines - traditional East - West Styria winery concept.

Clean and cosy interior. Also toilets are fantastic, I have never seen such nice sanitair. To bad you can only eat soup and toast at noon. No big dishes. The soup was tasty, hot and very good (for an Austrian soup)!
