Great location. Rooms very large as we had an upgraded room at the front of the hotel. Breakfast good. The hotel does have about 40 car spaces underground. You can request in advance but no guarantees at 16 e/day. Rather noisy in hotel as noise from other guests, hot water takes a LONG time to come on and the bathtub is very narrow which makes taking a shower using the wand sporty.

Great location just inside the city walls with onsite parking. The hotel is a very sympathetically refurbished old building retaining beams and walls adding great character. The rooms are airy and bright with a very comfortable bed. Great staff who are friendly and helpful. We used the bar for breakfast and tapas, excellent choice and very reasonably priced and we dined in the restaurant where the food was amazing and again excellent staff. Would stay again without a doubt!!

Hotel Las Leyendas is a restored historic house which was built in the 16th century. The rooms are comfortable and contemporary, yet still retain much of the original charm of the building with exposed stone walls and beams and have views of the city Wall.
A smallish room, perfectly clean, nice bathroom, good WiFi, tv we didn't try, no fridge or tea and coffee facilities. No bar or food service, not even breakfast unless on the weekends. Just 200 metres to a city gate and El Rastro parking which was €16.50 for 24 hours so fine for a short stay immediately next to the city with no parking issues at this price point.

Our room on the top floor was quiet and had a terrace. The room was great with a shower/bath which was great to relax in after a long walk. Comfortable bed. The decor of the hotel is really nice, the private parking underground is nice when you want to not unload everything from the car. Staff exceptionally pleasant and helpful.

We really enjoyed this quaint , artistically decorated hotel. Room was small but clean and comfortable. It had a fridge and free bottle of water. Staff very friendly and helpful. WiFi was excellent . Walk out the door and you were in the old town. The indoor market almost next door, the out door market in the square meters away. Surrounded by tapas bars and life.

If you are looking for a well priced, central location, and authentic stay in Avila, this is it! It is an extremely down to earth place, with no air of pretentiousness. I chose to stay here between May and June 2017, and it far exceeded my expectations. The hosts were great and they went out of their way to help me with all my needs. I asked for a list of mass times in Avila, and Raquel kindly looked up all the mass times in Avila and printed them out for me. She even suggested that I take a look at one mass in particular at the Monastery down the hill; it was the most special mass of my life, with the most angelic voices from the cloistered nuns! She also suggested a place where I can wash my clothes and that REALLY helped as well! The fact that the hosts are willing and eager to speak with their guests is something that is not commonplace nowadays in many hotels. It gives you insight when you engage with the locals into the region and place, and this is something that gives you a better understanding as a traveler, not a tourist. Breakfast was good as well, with a hearty selection of bread, yogurt, orange juice, coffee, as well as an assortment of pastries. Some of the pastries were wrapped, which were perfect for when I got the munchies while driving around Castile and Leon! What else...the internet met my needs and was even suffice to hold wi-fi calling back to the United States, so I would say it is pretty good. The hosts let you come in late with a code so if you plan on partying, you can come late. I enjoyed my room which consisted of a nice full bed, and a skylight showcasing the medieval wall of Avila. The shower was quite strong as well so another plus! I think to sum up, if you want to experience that Spanish, particularly Castilian, hospitality of a family owned and run hotel, Arco San Vicente is your best bet in Avila!

We stayed here for one night as part of a weeks horse riding holiday with Jerebeque horse trails. The outside of the building does not blend into the environment at all and is at odds with the beautiful surroundings. Once inside however, the rooms are spacious and very comfortable with a great shower and bathroom. The evening meal in the restaurant was delicious - showcasing local produce. I still think about the pork cheeks I ate there. Breakfast is a buffet with a large selection of items.

On arrival we were greeted by a really friendly receptionist, showed us how to use all the key codes so we could access our room keys and access the hotel if after 10.30pm. Our room was fine, a bit dated but we were not expecting luxury at that price so it seemed a fair space to lay our head for the night. We had a drink in the bar before we went out to dinner and the bar was lovely. The issue with this hotel is their walls are paper thin which you would not expect in a structure as old as this. I spent the night listening to a man clearing his throat, he might as well had been sat on the chair in our room. Appalling night sleep. Need to think about spacing guests out so they can get a decent night sleep, this is not the only review calling out this issue. Paying guests deserve a good night sleep as a minimum in any hotel. Poor hotel, such a shame. I didn’t go to breakfast as I was too tired, my husband and daughter did and said it was fair and basic

This place is worthy of more than 2 stars. Very clean, very spacious, very fast wifi and centrally located. Beds are absolutely excellent feels like sleeping on a 4 star hotel. Although it's on the old town, it is very quiet. Complimentary coffee and cakes and breakfast and to top it all, Diana and Laura make your stay in this small even better - they are very helpful and personable. Laura, don't forget to make that bread ?

The Las Cancelas Hotel, 3 stars, is a beautiful and ancient inn of the fifteenth century, situated in the old town, opposite the cathedral and murallas.Dispone 14 rooms are spacious and comfortable, decorated to match the architectural style of this well-kept building. The rooms are clean, well equipped. The restaurant serves delicious food in the old interior courtyard. Traditional Castilian cooking, seasonal dishes and wood-fired meat are the specialties of the house. The gates is near the Plaza de Santa Teresa and the romantic churches of San Pedro and San Vicente, in an ideal location for enjoy your stay. Wireless internet access is available in public areas.
A nice old building tucked away on a narrow street next to the cathedral. It also has a delightful outdoor restaurant next to the walls - pricey though. Our room was on the first floor with the small balcony overlooking the walls. You get a lot of conversation from the street with the windows open, but it’s not an issue when they are closed at night - good air conditioning if it gets too hot. The hotel has a traditional feel and is very clean. No lift, but a member of staff carried our cases upstairs. Decent breakfast, but it is extra - 6€. A bonus is the parking - easy to get to, but I recommend watching the YouTube video on their website first. Downside is the cost at 12€ a day.
