When I arrived at the hotel no one was at the front desk and I waited about 10 minutes for someone to help me. I had reserved 2 rooms for May 1, one night. Room #1 was booked as "2 Queen Standard Comm Access Roll Shwr" for a disabled person. Room #2 was reserved as "1 King Bed Suite". After checking in mid-afternoon we arrived at our rooms to find they were not what we reserved. Going to the desk I was told by the clerk that room #1 type "2 Queen Standard Comm Access Roll Shwr" didn't exist, they had no handicapped rooms available, but they had a non-handicapped room with no roll in shower and 2 queen beds. Room #2 was reserved as "1 King Bed Suite" and they were able to find one for me. Why would H.I. allow me to book a handicapped room described as "2 Queen Standard Comm Access Roll Shwr" if that room did not exist? In my room I attempted to log onto the network but found the Wi-Fi was not working. I again went to the front desk where the clerk confirmed that the Wi-Fi was not working and had been out all day. Period. She didn't volunteer to do anything about it. Obviously no one had done anything about it. After some prodding from me she called the hotel manager who told her to consult the procedure manual for what to do. Opening her manual she found that she should call tech support. Period. After some more prodding she called tech support who said they would "work on it." This is inexcusable as action should have been taken as soon as it was found the Wi-Fi was down that morning. It was apparent the clerk did not want to be bothered. The Wi-Fi did come back some time later but the bandwidth was extremely low. The hotel itself appeared to be somewhat neglected in comparison to other H.I hotels I've frequented, as if the management was looking for the cheapest way to maintain it (cheap facial tissues, cheap toilet tissue, half-hearted cleaning of common spaces, etc.). The employees were not all that friendly. The only reason they get at least one star from me is because the breakfast was good. I definitely will not stay at this particular hotel in the future.

We are 10 minutes away from LSU as well as 15 minutes from Southern University, and 15 minutes away from Baton Rouge Regional Airport. Comfort Suites is located in ideal location.
Not the usual CS standard. Poor first impressions. Dead palm out front. Cut off bleach bottle used for ashtray in smoking area out front. Furniture in lobby shows obvious and significant damage. Desk staff was friendly, but on a personal call and abrupt-no explanation about breakfast, room location, elevator, check out time, wifi password, etc. Elevator floor lip is about 1 - 1 1/2 inches above floor, have to lift cart up to make it in. Some room furniture (couch, desk, wardrobe) obviously worn and a bit shabby. Room was mostly clean, though, with exception of empty beverage bottles under the bed. Different colors of paint on patch area in bathroom. Tissue holder cracked and missing pieces. Sticky/peeling sticker/application on top of fridge, unsightly. Mop and buckets sitting against wall in breakfast area instead of in storage/out of sight. Fitness center equipment (treadmill) not working, cheap, arm handle fell off. CS is usually much better than this.

I booked a room in Nov 2021 for the Garth Brooks concert in April 2022. I went through Expedia to book it and had selected to pay at the hotel, reserved with a credit card hold. We were coming from Florida and about half way there my husband decided to call OYO to see what the latest checkin time was. Good thing he did because we were told the hotel property manager had canceled our reservation because the price was wrong on Expedia. No phone call in the 5 months of reservation to let me know this, no email, no contact at all from the hotel. They refused to honor the confirmation we had unless we paid an additional $300+ for the room. I’m sorry but this hotel was a 2 star, we only needed it to sleep and was not planning on being in the room much, and they are wanting $225 a night! After we found out they canceled the reservation, I received a email from Discover saying a charge was attempted and they denied the charge. Thank god for Discover! I am pretty sure they jacked their prices up because of all the festivals, LSU activities and the Garth Brooks concert. I will never book another room with them and I am reporting them to the BBB. OYO Port Allen is horrible and don’t waste you time with them because your reservation will be canceled the day your arriving with no notice to scam more mo ey from you!!!!

While the rooms are clean, the equipment and service are terrible. We checked in and after getting settled in our room, we realized the refrigerator was making a loud humming noise. I called the front desk and asked for someone to come up and turn it off. We did not want to have to change rooms but knew we did not need the refrigerator. No one came. After taking a shower I tried to use the hair dryer and fiscovered it did not work. I called the front desk again and reminded them we needed someone to turn off the refrigerator or fix it so it stopped buzzing and asked for a hair dryer to be brought quickly. No one ever came. Two hours later the front desk called to say they could not reach anyone to fix the refrigerator. We ended up lifting it out ourselves (2 women) and unplugging it. No hair dryer ever deluvered. My hair will have to wait until tomorrow night at a different hotel to get styled. The air conditioner rattles so we won't be able to sleep even with the refrigerator unplugged. Choose another place.

Had to stop for the night was a serious accident on I -10 in Bama before crossing over to Cajun Country it backed up traffic for hour and a half. It got late and normally stay at Motel 6 if I travel. This was my worst experience at one like this.I get people need to make a living and contractors were definitely staying here that worked construction on the thruway but Jesus. They had a cookout or a get together and after I registered for my room and parked my vehicle the room was near the back entrance and some whom had the cookout were still outside under the pavilion. There were Sparerib bones or something all over the ground of parking lot near pavilion. Beer cans packed the trash can under pavilion to the max.Boxes of empty beer cases on bench seats, beer bottles on ground.Blue shop towels used as napkins everywhere .And Multiple grills with ashes dumped on lawn along sidewalk. Then there were roaches in stairway hall and holes in wall to main floor hallway from rooms 130 down.First time and last definitely

Next door to LOVES TRUCK STOP, I was given a smoking room, I have Mast Cell Activation Syndrome so this was an issue. I look for the phone to call front desk, it is UNDER the bedside table. I thought well it's not plugged in. WRONG! Wires had been cut. There was no smoke detector present either. And upon further inspection, there were screw holes where there had been a LOCK on the INSIDE of the door...as in holding someone hostage?? The lock on the door did NOT work, no way to keep anyone out of my room. I was on the end 103. I decided just to rough it out, as I had my service dog with me that is also very protective and will BITE upon command. It was noisy, people banging doors all night, hanging out on sidewalk sitting doing hard drugs, not just smoking pot. I took my dog out as needed, and was VERY aware of my surroundings. I can say I did not see any member of management. I have pictures to prove what I'm saying. IT WAS AWFUL. If I wasn't a brave woman used to travelling alone, I would've left. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! It looks as if there was sex trafficking or prostitution at least going on....

Went down to get Breakfast at 9:15 in the morning and everything was empty. Poked my head into the kitchen and asked the lady sitting in a chair if she was preparing anything to come out. She looked at me and responded, I wasn't going to but I guess I can. Came back in 15 minutes and still nothing. Other people including myself complained to the front desk but nothing was done.
