Reviewed By Mark KWe stayed at the Beachcomber over Thanksgiving in 2012 and just had a blast. For our 25 th wedding anniversary we thought lets go back to the Beachcomber. Staying at the Beachcomber again over Thanksgiving 2021. We were not very happy, Our stay started with the front desk book us twice and discussed with us full payment. It was me and my wife I called made a reservation not our fault but made to think we were wrong. We ask to be high or low for ocean front due to a large palm tree that hidders your view. We were given the room with 2 palm trees right in our view Thanks Beachcomber. Starting on Thursday night you no longer can park yourself they require you to have your car valet. That valet went through the weekend. I would give 5 starts to the woman restaurant manager. The food at the restaurant was expensive for what you were served. Food was good but the food was way over priced. My wife and I would go down the strip and eat at other hotels price was not cheap but not as expensive as Beachcomber and we thought the quality and the amount was up for the cost we paid. I will say its a nice renovated hotel I will say the location is great But this RESORT with the RESORT FEE is not for us we wont be back, we were disappointed.

OK room. Great view. Not so great service
Reviewed By HollywoodMSMFirst thing is price. The cost of the room is NOTHING compared to all the other costs in staying there. There is a $34 per night (plus taxes and tips) for Valet parking. It is mandatory. You cannot park your own car so add about 45 bucks to the room rate. No food or drinks free. You can't even get a free cup of coffee in the morning. The restaurant in the hotel is ok but expensive. Breakfast buffet is $22 per person and that does not even include a beverage! Front desk was not helpful. Requested an upper floor room with my advance reservation and got 2nd floor (lowest floor in the tower). 2nd morning I requested additional pillows; never got them. The door to the balcony was damaged and It took all my strength to wrestle it open. My wife could not open it. Maintenance came up and said "we need parts that are on back order (rollers)". I asked them to clean and lubricate the track to make it a little easier to open. They never came back. I had to go to the store to buy some WD40 which helped the situation a little. On the 3rd day, we asked for housekeeping to please refresh our towels and empty the trash. At 1:30 in the afternoon this had still not been done so I went to the front desk and asked them (again) to have this done by 3:30 as my wife and I expected to be back in the room to get cleaned up for the evening. 3:30 and still no maid service. I went down to the front desk 3 times in 30 minutes asking for the towels. FINALLY at around 4:15 we got towels and I emptied the trash myself and put it in the hallway. For all our troubles, the Front Desk gave us 3 "drinks on us" coupons and a promise to "credit the resort fee of $20 per night (remember the intro paragraph?)" A little later my wife went down to the bar to get us a couple drinks and was told they were only god for the "Specialty drink of the day!" which was a disgusting drink that I would never want. The next day when we went to check out, the resort fees were back on the bill. I had also scheduled a massage and was told that the price was "X" ($125 I think). On the bill it was over $150 as they added a tip automatically without my knowledge and I paid the the massage therapist a very nice tip. This place is poorly run and is not worth the $400/night that it winds up costing you. Never again.

She and All the Staff that I have mentioned have gone Above and Beyond to ensure a WOW experience for me!!! I wish I could give them all 10 stars!!!

Disappointed that with they extended check out the cut the t v at 8 am and never fixed when asked Also the stuff between the shower curtain and tub is mold that flakes off, like there front desk.

Room was clean, service was good, grounds are beautiful, nice pool, and it's just across the street from the beach. Quiet, with no kids or pets, and plenty of parking. Reviewed By paulpgh1242019This is an older hotel but if you lived in a hurricane area would you keep adding new things to get destroyed. Pool was clean and owner was pleasant On site food mart and close to the beach. Rented a king with the kitchenette.

Not Deserving of Marriott Nameplate
Reviewed By Dave TVery disappointing, particularly by Marriott standards (Lifetime Titanium Elite). I have stayed in Marriott properties in virtually every state and several countries. The good news....the staff was very friendly. The bad news.....breakfast terrible, hallways had trash and needed vacuuming, elevator doors dirty. Room- toilet tissue dispenser hanging from the wall, outside of kitchen appliances dirty, no Kleenex in room, one towel and one washcloth.
