This is my second time in Flores. Camiba cultural tours recommended this roof bar. I would come here again and again and again. The view is spectacular for sunsets. Tamarindo margaritas are the best. The food ever disappoints. I highly recommend this bar.

Located in the Heart of the Maya World, minutes away from the magnificent Tikal, Uaxactún and Yaxhá ruins. You can experience the richness of the jungle at its best in LAS LAGUNAS BOUTIQUE HOTEL. Inspired by a Guatemalan visionary businessman who explored for 30 years the undomesticated rainforest of Peten, the property combines 300 acres of land, the comfort of a Boutique Hotel with its Private Reserve, two Monkey Islands, a complete Spa and an incredible museum!
Of all our travels, this is one of our favorite hotels. Set in lush foliage, alongside a lagoon, Las Lagunas is home to 20 beautifully appointed cabañas, all with a view. Carefully arranged for maximum privacy, each room has a rain shower with a view, and a terrace with a jacuzzi. The staff is top-notch - each knew our name and did the utmost to make sure we enjoyed our stay. In particular, Elmer, Victor, Alex, and Kendel were amazing. Elmer shared a number of tips about where to go and what to do that helped us see the best of the area. Included in our room rate was a very good breakfast and a 45 minute boat ride on the lagoon where we got to feed the local spider monkeys. We were only here for two nights and definitely wish it was longer. Like the tag line says, it really is “luxury in nature.”

On the shores of Lake Peten Itza, there is a five-star hotel service called Bolontiku Boutique Hotel & Spa that naturally integrates into the jungle, offering a perfect communion between nature and contemporary comfort, Bolontiku has the perfect blend of Mayan mysticism and modern life creating atmosphere of peace and comfort to give you an unforgettable experience.
We came to the Flores region in order to visit Tikal. Although there were some hotel options in Flores, we wanted some place that felt more like a getaway. Bolontiku was the perfect place. They provided pick-up from the airport to the municipal dock, then a quick 20-minute ride to the hotel. Upon arriving at the hotel, we were greeted with a cold towel, and and a beverage. The room was beautifully decorated with fresh flowers, and spacious. If we had more time, we would have also enjoyed the jacuzzi in the room. Our favorite part of the room was the porch with the lounge chairs. It was a great place to relax and enjoy the lake. We enjoyed dinner in the restaurant both nights. The food was really good. The next morning we had an early morning tour for Tikal. The hotel was gracious enough to prepare breakfast for us a few minutes before the official restaurant opening hours. It was nice to enjoy the restaurant before heading for the tour. The next morning we had an early flight back to Guatemala City. Once again, the hotel provided a box meal for us (sandwich, fruit, juice) to take to go. What hospitality! It was really fun and relaxing to ride the boat to Flores everyday. Special kudos to the boat driver who helped to rescue my husband's baseball hat which had blown away on the lake while we were on the boat. The rooms are situated on the side of a hill. The hotel offers golf carts to drive you around. Or if you prefer to get some exercise, then walking up and down the hill is an option as well. Prior to our visit, I emailed the hotel staff with some questions. The staff were very quick to respond to my questions. If you want a place to truly get away, Bolontiku is it. I hope someday to return.

An intimate and romantic retreat beside a magical lake Set in the rainforest high above the shores of Lago Petén Itzá is La Lancha, a quaint, 10-room lodge decorated with furniture, fabrics, and carvings from Guatemala personally selected by the Coppola family. Nearby is Tikal, the epicenter of Maya spirituality. Buried deep within the rainforest, the ruins include more than 3,000 structures where moss clings to the steps of ancient temples and plazas. With its beautiful lakeshore setting, relaxed ambiance, and close proximity to the lost world of Maya, La Lancha is an ideal destination to both enjoy a languid pace and explore the many adventures of the Petén region.
We ended our Guatemalan trip with three day and nights at La Lancha - it couldn't have ended better! The rooms are beautiful, all with a direct view of the lake and a little terrace to enjoy it, the service is impeccable with huge attention to details, and the staff makes you feel at home (Thank you Evelyn, Judith and Noe for a great stay!). You have direct access to the lake, with a beautiful dock to lounge on. Great restaurant as well. For their activities, we highly recommend the horseback-riding activity in the neighboring ranch as well as a morning visit to Tikal - the site is almost empty at that time of day. Perfect place to disconnect and relax, in gorgeous rainforest setting. All in all, a wonderful stay!

Loved this little island, and this hotel. The views on the lake from the rooms are magical, the staff was awesome, and the restaurant on the ground floor made delicious local dishes. I would love to stay here again.

Hotel Tikal Inn is located in Tikal National Park. It sits on the edge of the jungle and it is only a ten minute walk from the center of the Maya Ruins (Grand Plaza). The hotel's traditional architecture provides a comfortable setting to relax, bird watching, wild life observation and enjoy the natural beauty of Tikal National Park. All rooms have private bathrooms, hot water, and ceiling fans. We have a swimming pool, front desk/conference center for 80, bar and restaurant.
Great location inside Tikal park, just a few steps away. The room was huge !! And there was a little porch to spot animals. The hotel emailed me the instructions to get the park entrance tickets so that was great. Also as there was nothing else at the hotel to do the general tour and the sunrise one, they made some calls to get me on a fantastic general tour and the manager walked with me at 3:45 to the park entrance to find a guide, which was great. The pool is so pleasant to refresh after a morning exploring the park and there is a good restaurant at decent price onsite which is very handy. All in all highly recommended to get a feel of this incredible Maya site.

Palms, stones and local woods form the houses of the Posada del Cerro which you find directly at the entrance to the protected area "Biotopo Cerro Cahui".The design of the buildings merges harmonically into the subtropical ambience of the lake Petén Itzá which is spreading out in front of the Posada del Cerro. Good and personal service as well as excellent food round up the attraction of this small Hotel. The Hotel has enough space to accommodate up to 34 people.
My wife, 11 and 13 yea-olds, I really enjoyed our December 2021 visit to Posada del Cerro. From my first interactions with him on WhatsApp, Ricard Busquets, the manager of del Cerro was organized, gracious, and helpful. We opted for the three-bed apartment in the lodge, so we could prepare lunches and breakfasts for ourselves. Sitting on the apartment’s deck at night, listening to the (loud) insect sounds of the forest was wonderful. The apartment was basically furnished and, while you wouldn’t want to cook up a seven-course dinner, the apartment’s kitchen was sufficient; we found going up to the main kitchen/dining area 25 meters away to get another plate (or a bit of sugar) was super easy. The kitchen staff will provide jugs of drinking water for your use upon request. Dinners at del Cerro were limited to 2-3 choices (always a vegetarian option) and given the limited number of tables/seats, you needed to make a reservation for dinner by late afternoon. Despite this, dinners at del Cerro’s restaurant were surprisingly tasty and the proportions larger than expected. As was our experience with other lodging in Guatemala, COVID protocols were integrated into all operations in terms of cleaning & spacing of tables. Ricard and his staff always wore masks; guests wore them as well, though this is a social expectation, not a demand. Right across the road from the hotel is a grassy area from which we all swam in the (very-warm) lake. Finally, a stay at del Cerro is money well spent. All told, we really enjoyed our six nights at Posada del Cerro.

Hotel, located inside Tikal National Park, Guatemala, 15 minutes walk from the temples. 13 bungalows with private bathroom, hot water, ceiling fan. Restaurant with AC, Wi-Fi internet service, transport, fun activities and tours. Credit cards accepted. Money exchange.
Realizing the tourist industry in Guatemala is very slow due to the corona virus, it doesn't mean that this hotel should not keep up basic upkeeping! There were 2 other people staying, 'being busy' was not the reason to leave garbage, rags, be aloof, lack of choices on the menus, etc. We were throughly disappointed with this property. The web site shows a poo, there is NO pool, the other 2 hotels do!! The room was comfortable, clean and basic. We are not picky individuals as long as the room is clean, we're happy! There was always 2, 3 staff on ... why not pick up the mask and as you can see, it wasn't a fresh one, it, along with the rags, garbage were there the 3 days 2 nights ww were there?? Not a big deal really, food ... 3 choices for breakfast, 2 choices for dinner, 1 piece of papaya was served with dinner. Embarrassing. We asked staff to put all the fans on for the sheer heat & humidity, not possible and it wasn't due to lack of electricity. Okay. The one amazing thing our awesome guide Hendry for the Sunrise Tour! It's worth every penny. The hotel staff was ignorant and rude, which I must say was the 1st time we encountered this travelling for 6 wks in Guatemala. There are 2 other hotels in the park, I highly suggest checking them out. We had dinner at the Jungle Lodge Hotel ... outstanding! The food, service, pool, grounds, lit up, warm inviting lobby, etc., beautiful. It was very sad walking back to out dismal hotel. Lastly the pictures on this site of the hotel are NOT up to date!!!

I stayed here overnight for a few days in room 301 and it’s view was drop dead gorgeous. Unfortunately I’ve heard that some people mix it up wit Mirador del lago but my mom grew up around Flores and told me mirador del lago was awful. I had a great time! The view was amazing, and the food was the best I’ve ever tasted!!! I couldn’t believe how cheap it was!! The staff was amazingly kind. Love it!!!!
