Lindsey made all of our arrangements for 3 different golf courses as well as our accommodations making everything go smoothly. Hotel was good but because of the issues from Covid and staffing housekeeping wasn’t available and the restaurant had limited hours. Front desk staff was delightful and the overall experience especially because of Lindsey was great!

We were upgraded so hard to say what the usual rooms are like. Ours was great, Good breakfast, and staff were good. The courtyard I would interesting, Pool, 4 BBQs and picnic tables must make this a great family hotel. Wonder if some parties can get out of hand though? Need a car to get to the downtown core of Penticton. We enjoyed our stay.

Dilapidated and many years overdue major renovations. The public areas are dishevelled, feel like they’re held together with duck tape, and dark (perhaps to make the poor state of repair less obvious). Cardboard on the floor, repair supplies left in corridors, and signs apologizing for the state of things. Central pool area — which could be attractive — closed for repairs. Room acceptable, though with a faint odour of old cigarette smoke. Staff pleasant. It’s not terrible, just disappointing and overpriced.

Our trip was a mother daughter get away and the hotel was so accommodating and welcoming. We arrived early and were able to check in right away. The desk staff was very professional. We had a special even the next day and they also let us have a bit of a delayed check out. We were so impressed with the excellent service and attention to detail

Absolutely Fantastic, meet new friends and experience why families are returning to their favorite Penticton Motel. Our rooms offer all the comforts and amenities of home. Our pool, courtyard and proximity to Okanagan Lake is simply the best.
The Bowmont used to be a great value - not fancy but good facilities, very clean, friendly staff and great location. That has unfortunately changed with the new ownership. This was our third stay, first under this new ownership. Our room wasn't ready at check-in so we had to wait for it to be 'cleaned' - I'm not sure what they were doing while we waited, because the room was not at all clean once we were allowed in. Sink, dishes, kitchen walls, bathtub etc all had visible grime that we cleaned ourselves; dirty dish sponge left in sink from previous guests. The previous owners were meticulous about keeping the grounds clean and tidy, where now there will be litter on the ground every morning, pool towels left hanging everywhere. Just generally fairly gross. It's unfortunate because the location is perfect and it is such a cute quaint motel that is great for families, but with the way it is being maintained now we won't be returning.

We stayed at this hotel when our daughter had a dance competition in Penticton. I found there was a large contingent of what seemed to be unaccompanied minors and young people drinking and yelling in the hallways. I called down to the front desk 2 times between 11pm and Midnight. The front desk person told me it was only on their first week on the job and was left in a situation she wasn’t trained for. When I went to the lobby you could see where alcohol was spilled in front of the elevator door, in the elevator and in the hallway on the carpets. After talking to the staff at the front desk they told me they were going to ask the people to leave if it carried on, and it did till past 1am. Our first night there was the worst stay I’ve ever had in a hotel and it clicked to me that this was a hotel where parents send their kids to party instead of messing up their houses. The following morning I was going to check out and goto the best western when they assured me that the people on our floor had checked out. My 6 year old son and I went to the pool at 11am when another group in their 20s came in with open alcohol and were drinking so we left the pool. It seems like anything goes at the Hotel Penticton. The only real highlight of this place is the location and the pool when we weren’t having a bunch of people drinking around us. I can whole heartedly tell you I’ll never be back to this place. We went to the restaurant and homeless were coming in threatening to take their clothes off if they weren’t given a meal and I had to threaten the guy if he did that in front of my son and daughter I was going to beat him into a coma. You guys have a lot to look at your hotel in terms of professional conduction of business, staffing more than 1 person at a time and taking action to ensure your customers are getting what they paid for. This place is a total waste of money for what we experienced. I asked to be called by the manager and asked to speak to them 3 times and nothing. My advice is don’t stay here especially if you don’t want to hear kids party till the wee hours our the night. We will be back to Penticton next year for the same competition but will be staying at the Fairfield or the best western where the standards are higher, both are only a little bit more money and are worth it instead of no sleep. This had an effect on my daughter and ruined her performance from us being up all night only getting just 5 hours sleep. I bet Hotel Penticton won’t be in business very long if things continue to run like this. Good luck you’re going to need it.

As we are planning to move to Penticton we booked several nights at this hotel so we could do some exploring. Upon arrival they notified us that we had been upgraded to a larger room without additional expense. Nice! The staff here is excellent and so is the location. It is a short drive to all points of interest in the city. When we come back we will again stay here.
