Room was clean and well taken care of. The hotel was mostly very good, but the AC was just so bad AC in the room was barely working. I had it set to 65, which usually would be extremely cold to me if it was actually that temperature, but I was still so hot. I tried to just put up with it cause I was extremely tired, but I still couldn’t really sleep due to the temperature in the room. I only fell asleep finally at 4 am when I got some ice from the ice machine, tied it in a plastic bag, and slept with it on my head to cool down. I mentioned the issue with the AC when I checked it, but I felt kind of dismissed and she just said that it would make sense since I was on the 3rd floor. I didn’t mention the part about the ice bag since she didn’t seem to care too much. She did say she would tell someone about it and I hope she did.

We booked our stay here for Christmas on Main. The rooms were amazing. Clean, spacious rooms. Quiet, warm and cozy. The bed was incredibly comfortable. The bathrooms are an amazing size. This is by far one of the most impressive places I have stayed in a very long time. I will definitely book here again.

42 Non-smoking comfortable rooms conveniently located in downtown Historic Wellsboro. AAA approved. 15 Minute drive to the PA Grand Canyon.
I’ve stayed here many times, and this motel is top-notch. The rooms are clean and smell wonderful. Easily accessible and I can park my motorcycle right out front. The town is beautiful and you can walk to many restaurants from the Sherwood. Front check in was seamless and there is always someone polite working behind the counter. This is my go to place to stay in Wellsboro.

We spent 2 days here while in the area for a family event. The hotel was clean and room were up to date and comfortable. Breakfast was still prepackaged offering but well stocked and more than enough. Front desk was friendly and helpful. There were a couple minor things that should not have been. We arrived a couple days after the big ice and snow storm had hit. Their parking lot looks like it had been plowed once but no additional effort was made to clean it and the last 3 feet of the lot up to the sidewalk that the plow could get to was just left. I knew we were going out the next morning in good shoes so I grab the snow shovel by the front door and cleaned a path for my wife to the car. There were also towels laying in the hallway by a room when we checked in first afternoon that were still there when we left two days later. I know every one is short staffed but this is something any employee should have cleaned up. The road leading to the hotel is a little tricky to find and we totally missed it the first time. At night it is much easier to see their sign. Overall a good stay and we stay here again.

A beautiful grand Victorian bed & breakfast on the gas-lit boulevard in downtown Wellsboro, one block from dining and shopping but only minutes from the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon and Rails to Trails Bike Path.
La Belle Auberge Bed and Breakfast was a delightful getaway. The breakfast was delicious and the couples massage was so relaxing and very much needed. We are so looking forwarded to returning and staying at this cozy B&B while visiting Wellsboro again.

The hotel was very clean, but in need of quite a few small repairs. The hot tub at the pool was missing tiles, the sliding door in our room had trim, that was missing, the bathtub had drainage issues, and was in need of new paint and caulking. Loved that there was a pool, but it was only opened 8 AM to 8 PM.

Thanks to Hampton Inn & Suites Mansfield for a very nice stay and saving my family. I was caught in a storm Sunday Jan 16th 2022 on the way from NYS to Silver Spring MD. I have been going past this hotel in the last 6 years taking my daughter back and forth to college. You can see it right from Rte 15 on the side of the road perched on a hill. We had hoped to beat the storm but snow started coming down once we entered PA from NYS. It was dark out and although early it was better to get off the road. I knew the hotel was in close proximity so it came at a good time. Rte 15 from Corning, NY to Williamsport, PA can be very dangerous. The traffic pattern is a little tricky to get to as it’s on a hill. If you go out and come back and make sure you pay attention to traffic patterns. This hotel gets business from both UPMC and Mansfield University. There is a Sheetz gas station near by and some other businesses. We stopped in and the manager assured us she had rooms. We were the fifth couple/family to come in off the roads to stay overnight. To be fair there isn’t normal staff because of COVID and I saw the manager doing everything from checking in people to multi-tasking. I am not sure how many years old the property is but the décor matches some in Waterloo, NY and Albany, NY I have stayed at. Most hotels are renovated every few years at a great cost and it’s a incredibly competitive industry. The hallways are very long and it’s very roomy with a breakfast area near the front desk. Behind the desk is a concession stand to get snacks with two drink coolers that also have ice cream. Masks did not seem to be required in the lobby area in an around the hotel also but half of the people were wearing them. I got my keys, headed to get the girls in the car and we made our way up to room 315 located near the elevator bank. It was quiet and there was a hint of people using the ice machine once in awhile but nothing serious concerning noise. It seems an extra effort to make sure everything was in clean the microwave/ refrigerator area which is a console under the TV. The bathroom was very nice with the normal amenities. The TV was working well and no problem with the company WiFi. The room was nice and warm also. There wasn’t much to do so we watched TV while the storm raged outside. I didn’t really get to use any part of the pool but it is near the lobby down the hall. Usually I will hit the gym but can’t comment on it as I was busy. The bed was OK but I have back problems so it wasn’t supportive as I would like but that is my issue. The shower worked fine and was clean. The next morning we went down and the staff was already removing snow. We checked out with any problem and headed on our way. I thought the Breakfast would be the “grab and go concept” Instead it seemed it was back to a buffet style. Not many people were eating, probably due to COVID concerns? As with other Hampton properties I was impressed with staff operating in limited numbers with all that’s going on. If you get a chance stay here. It’s a busy hotel but great for the price. The general manager Jassen Shaw and his staff are doing a great job and the hotel came in at the right time.

Wellsboro is a quaint northern PA town with a charming Main St complete with plenty of shops and even an old-time department store. Each December they have a Christmas passport event where families are invited to get their passport stamped by various stores in the town. A raffle is held for those who get at least 8 stamps. Historic walking tours are also available. We made a long weekend of it and had a great time. The hotel is nice but dated, 1925! Actually very nice, with antique woodwork in a beautiful lobby. Breakfast was ok, coffee very good. Our room had a king, with a separate bathroom, a hair dryer, and plenty of towels. Note the heat is steam so you may be challenged to find a comfortable temp. Overall a great stay.

My husband and I had a very nice stay at this beautiful home and room, within walking distance to all things downtown! I contacted Amanda on our way to Wellsboro and she prepared the room for us within 2 hours with a personalized Welcome and a fresh rose! It far exceeded our expectations and we just were able to unwind and relax! Definitely recommend!

The Coach Stop Inn & Tavern is located on Route 6 in Ansonia (Wellsboro zip code) just outside of the town proper and at the Northern entrance to the Pennslvania Grand Canyon. We are the closest place to stay and eat to the Darling Run and Marsh Creek access points to the Pine Creek Rail Trail, the Big Meadow Canoe Access, Pine Creek Outfitters, the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon Snowmobile Club and Colton Point SP. We are budget friendly and offer 30, clean, comfortable, well appointed rooms with on site restaurant and tavern.
Spent 2 nights there in lieu of camping at the Grand Canyon PA. This place has so much potential - great bar/restaurant space, fire pit, pool. With a bit of maintenance (weed whack around fire pit area, clean up debris, trim shrubs around pool area) it could be really nice. Regarding rooms, they are very basic; clean except bathtub was disgusting. We are not that fussy but there were rust stains all over and the bath mat was deeply stained and should be removed altogether. No issue with hot water. One surprising thing is that our room had no housekeeping done at all during our 2-night stay. At least trash could have been emptied and coffee packet refreshed. Not sure if this was due to staffing issue or if that is their policy. Also, Tavern should stay open past 8:00 pm, especially when there are customers who still want to eat and drink. The owners and employees are very nice but, like all establishments today, are short handed.
