A two-day stay was completely ruined due to the complete incompetence of the hotel staff.

A two-day stay was completely ruined due to the complete incompetence of the hotel staff. The hotel was booked from May 28 to May 31 on Booking with the option to pay upon arrival at the hotel, our plane was late, we arrived at the hotel at 00-30 on May 29. The receptionist Antonio Vives said that our reservation through Booking was not in the hotel system, but our room reservation was listed on a printed paper list that was on his desk. He put our passports aside and began to deal with the other arrivals. To our question what happened and what to do in this case, he answered - I DON'T KNOW. We asked him to call the manager, Antonio Vives pretended to call somewhere, then we ourselves asked for the manager's phone number. Antonio Vives gave a number on a piece of paper, we called, but no one answered us. Not surprisingly, the clock was 01-30 at night. We approached him several times with the question of what can be done, the answer was unequivocal - I DON'T KNOW, I can't deal with you, other clients are waiting for me!!! I suggested - give us a room, we have arrived, we will pay right now, Antonio Vives' answer - WE DO NOT HAVE AVAILABLE ROOMS !!!! At the request to somehow solve this situation on the part of the receptionist, a complete ignore, he mocked us. At 02-00 at night, something switched in Antonio Vives's head, he condescended to us, took our passports, threw the keys to the room in our face, go sleep until the morning. In the morning, another employee began to tell us stories that someone had accidentally deleted our reserve from the hotel system. NO ONE APOLOGIZED to us, no compensation was offered, in addition, we were forced to pay for the room in CASH, the full amount, including the night we spent at the reception. The food is tasteless, monotonous, the room, especially the bathroom, is dirty.

Okay but wouldn’t come again

Arrived around 10pm as a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 children 7&3) and despite being only one other family there and being Magnus which states preferential check in, we were still left for 30 mins before we were even acknowledged let alone processed. Upon arriving to our room, I was also disappointed as it wasn’t anything like the pictures you see on the website. Very basic and a little cramped for the 4 of us with 2 Single beds pushed together and a small double sofa pull out bed for the kids which I thought was actually going to collapse when my daughter sat on it as I saw the leg buckle underneath it as it made a loud noise! Kids weren’t happy to have to sleep together but we were more upset to see that their bed sheet was just that, a sheet and nothing more yet the beds had a light duvet. Was a good job they also had their own fleece blankets as their sheet was also stained so was promptly removed! Then realised that the patio door was unlocked and couldn’t then lock so had to call reception. Maintenance came and was unable to fix it and reception said there weren’t any other rooms so we took a broom handle to wedge the door closed for the night instead! Was fixed the following morning but not ideal and added hours waiting in the evening with two young children wasn’t great. Front door then didn’t close properly unless held open and allowed to slam closed and even then it didn’t always close flush. Not great! Bathroom wasn’t clean. Stains in the toilet and splash stains on the wall and in the shower. Wet towel also on the floor and small ants running around everywhere! Also strong smell of drains which disturbed my sleep unfortunately as well as room just feeling generally unclean and damp. No hangers in room which I found really weird. Had to ask reception who then gave us 10 later on. Also had to ask for another bed sheet the following day as the one from the girls bed had still not been replaced. Hotel itself is nice though but very very busy and we came outside of half term so god knows how busy it is in school holidays! Not one single sunbed available at 9.30am around the childrens splash pool and yet signs stating reserving beds with towels wasn’t allowed, a good 40% of them were just this and no one did anything about it. I watched 4 beds in particular with towels on all day and not touched until 4pm!! Absolute joke! Restaurant was good, nice food, salads and fresh fruit was amazing. A bit chaotic though as so busy and people were just casually walking about everywhere and didn’t seem to care about bumping in to you or basically knocking in to your 3 year old! All inclusive is a con though, no ice lollies for the kids, not even an ice pop! Just slush drinks, water or fizzy pop out of a draught machine. Wine and lager included but anything else was a charge including cocktails of any kind. Been in here one day though so has time to redeem itself but not overly confident with everything else I’ve clocked already!

We especially enjoyed the breakfast with a variety of choices, the pool area and the beach just outside the hotel! We booked the Preferred Club and recommend doing so. Our room was out of this world and we would love to visit again.

Amazing, relaxing, friendly. First class.

We have been amazingly happy with this hotel. We were faced with a last minute change of hotel as ours cancelled on us 12 hours before our flight. Needless to say, this was stressful and many of the hotels offered in replacement were in busy areas and few blocks from the beaches.... However, I think we got lucky, as this place is fantastic. It is relatively quiet, beautiful area, right on the beach, which is fantstic, and 3 minute walk across the beach to shops and town. Paguera is lovely, everything you need from holiday shops for nicknacks and gifts, lots of excursions available for boat trips etc. Buffet food for breakfast and dinner has been lovley. Children treated like princes and princesses. Hotel is spotless, well appointed and the staff are amongst the friendliest, happiest and politest you could hope to encounter. Even when busy, they take the time to say hello and especially to the kids. There was an amazing strawberry cake one evening, and the chef made time to allow kids to have a photo and then gave them extra decorations along with thier slice! The lady on the front desk even walked us to our room on arrival. First class service all round. We will be returning for sure ?

The food in the restaurant was the best I have experience on a half board package, truly delicious. I especially enjoyed the Mallorca evening on Mondays. I hope to visit again when next in mallorca

Second Stay at Hotel Creta!

Reviewed By HebbyJo

Having visited Hotel Creta in 2018, we decided to go back for our first holiday after the pandemic, and it did not let us down! Juan, his family and staff were as happy and professional as ever, and made us feel so welcome. Our flight was quite late, and we got to the hotel around 11.30pm, Juan was still there ready to check us in and see us to our room. The room was beautiful and clean, the beds so comfy - we had the best sleeps there! You can really appreciate the triple glazed windows, you quite literally cannot hear a thing from the streets around the hotel which is amazing. They were cleaned every single day, you could tell the floors had been cleaned and the hotel itself is pristine! The room has aircon and a safe in the wardrobe which is always a nice touch. Hawai Bar Cafeteria serves the most wonderful and tasty breakfasts, as well as gorgeous food throughout the day. We went for a few meals around Peguera on our holiday, but honestly, no food compared to Hawai's! Also, if you are a fan of Sangria, it is a must from here! One for the sports fans too, they have a huge curved big screen TV and the atmosphere was always good when there was a game on! The hotel is literally steps away from the beach and all local shops/bars/restaurants and pharmacies should you need them. The location for a beach holiday is just perfect. There is also a bus stop right opposite where you can hop on to Palma and even the airport. If you are planning to stay in Peguera, really consider this hotel - you will not be disappointed! We cannot thank you enough for an amazing holiday, Juan and team! We will be back for the third time soon! Thank you for having us! Kim & Sunny x

Small & friendly hotel

Reviewed By annejS5904MA

I stayed for 3 nights just after the Easter rush, and while the hotel was really still gearing up for the main season, the weather was great and I was able to use all of the hotel's amenities, sitting in the sun by the pool, and enjoying the outdoor seating area for breakfast, and the bar in the evening. We didn't eat at the hotel in the evening as the hotel is just a short walk from the main area for restaurants in the town. The rooms are simply furnished with a large bed and bathroom, and each room has its own balcony with seating either overlooking the pool or looking across the back of the hotel towards the hills. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the hotel is a lovely spot to enjoy a simple break for a few nights.
