Memorable stay at Kamelia Hotel Pamporovo
Reviewed By iliyanak2021I can only speak positive about our stay at Kamelia. We rented a one-bedroom apartment for our family of four. It was equipped with everything we need - a kitchen with all appliances incl fridge, hob, microwave, kettle and all kitchenware you can possibly need, dining table & chairs and a comfortable sofa bed. Bathroom as well had all necessities. The bedroom had a large king size bed, a desk and a chair, which were quite useful as I can to work for some of the time during our stay. The rooms were very warm and we had a nice balcony where I could enjoy a cup of tea looking over the forest in front of us. The TV had a channel broadcasting directly from the cameras at the kids playground, which was quite useful. The hotel has 3 restaurants - one main restaurant where buffet breakfast is served, a BBQ and another more traditional style more of a private place. They also have room service, which was useful. Food was delicious. Breakfast had variety of options from cereals, eggs, veggies, pancakes, salami, croissants - really quite a large selection. They also offered a 30% discount at the guest house on the slopes, where we always had lunch. The hotel has a large and well equipped kids playzone, with facilities for small kids (perfect for my 2 year old), as well as for older kids, incl billiards, jaggy, etc. There is a professional animators at all times looking after the kids and entertaining with certain games and activities at certain hours. The spa area as well is very well equipped with a swimming pool where water is at 30 degrees changed daily, no chemicals are used and there is a lifeguard. There is also a jacuzzi, sauna, etc. The massages are amazing (I went every night). The place is very clean. There is a ski depot within the hotel where you can rent equipment or if you have your own you can leave it overnight. There is a piste for beginners outside the hotel with two ski tows which is very very convenient. The hotel offers daily kindergarten services which includes a ski instructor for two hours, lunch and free playtime in the indoors playground. There is also a play ground outside. The hotel is conveniently located 200m from the slopes and main ski lifts area. There is also a regular shuttle for those who are carrying equipment or with small kids. I must say that all hotel staff was very friendly, smiling, attentive, and acting very professionally. All Covid19 measures were kept, even masks were provided free of charge in open public areas. Overall our stay was excellent, relaxing and enjoyable, it was our first visit but for sure won't be the last and we are looking forward to returning again very very soon!

Tv a bit small for the room but take your FIRE STICK as good internet and Netflix no problem Ski bus picks up / returns outside to slopes Fridge in room but no coffee/tea making ( little travel kettle) 24 hour mini market next door!! Great skiing, terrible hotel
Reviewed By K4009KHmichelledWe got a great deal skiing in Pamporovo for 4 nights staying at the Snezhanka. I was very impressed with the resort- its a small quiet town, ideal for families. The skiing itself was great, the slopes are ideal for beginner/ intermediate like myself, but my more experienced friends had all the slopes completed in the first 2 days. I had ski lessons included in my package and was very impressed- the instructor Vasco was excellent! The hotel however was extremely poor. The lobby and pool were impressive, but the rooms were disappointing. Clean, but poorly maintained- the heat in our room was overpowering as well as the smell of sewerage from the bathroom, we had to keep both our balcony door and window open when in the room to make it somewhat comfortable. We booked half board, expecting the food to be basic but edible, unfortunately not. We attempted 1 dinner and 1 breakfast menu but ended up eating out the rest of the time. The food was cold and tasteless, and all the drinks were so watered down they were transparent- we asked other guests if the menu changed at all but they were as unimpressed as us as it was the same the entire week. The staff were just as bad- they were so rude and unhelpful at all times. The only good thing I can say is that luckily on a ski holiday you are out the entire day so spend little time in the hotel. I would recommend Pamporovo for skiing, as the resort itself is brilliant but avoid this hotel at all costs!! I am an avid traveller and this is the worst I have ever stayed in- there are plenty of other hotels in the resort and from chatting to people on the slopes they all seem to be a lot better. The resort is cheap when there so if I was to go again I would definitely pay the extra for decent accommodation.

Beautiful food
Reviewed By gary mHad a visit to Nessebar and tried this water side restaurant. Food was beautiful and service excellent. Prices were also very reasonable. Large beer 2.5 lev. Will definitely visit again. Bulgaria keeps serving up great surprises.

Reviewed By desimgmHotel Pamporovo is one of the best hotels in Pamporovo resort. I was there on 14th of December 2013. Everything was excellent! It is one of the best biggest hotels there. In Pamporovo there are so many hotels and restaurants for tourists, but in the hotel is everything in one place!

The staff are friendly, the covid measures are sensible and the rooms are great. Bathroom facilities are superb, with a walk-in shower and almost instant hot water. The beds are comfortable and there’s good hanging space. The only criticism I would level is that there are no drawers for storage. Location is fantastic and access to the sister hotel, the Perelik, is easy. Cross the road or use the underground passage if you don’t want to be out in the cold. Cannot recommend this hotel enough.

I was a bit worried when reading the reviews, but confident that Pippa wouldn't send us somewhere unless it was nice. The house/chalet has everything that we need and is lovely and warm. The resort is nice and quiet and only a few minutes walk to the ski slope! We booked to be half board and the food is amazing! Lots of choice for both breakfast and dinner which are both buffets. The staff are friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again!

Reviewed By Expedition609941Please note that a Bulgarian 4 star is a 1/2 in UK. That being said this is a nice hotel .very clean ,warm and a cofy bed . Swimming pool was a nice big area little colder than I like but not something to complain about swim faster an you will warm up . Food in bulgara is always cold and it is no different for the buffet . I have a fussy eater so didn't eat here every night . What we did have from the buffet was good we went through to the restaurant were you have to pay for one night and they selection was good and it tasted spot on ,other nights we ate out around the town with no complaints . The bar on the top floor was not open much for our stay but if you get a good clear day it's worth a nip up for the view . Also had a massage in the spa highly recommended.

The complex was completely renovated in 2017 in a five-star category of the hotel rooms, reception, lobby bar, main restaurant and the à la carte restaurant. Built on 8 floors, the hotel offers 130 units with 285 beds, allocated into 110 junior suites and 15 apartments/ maisonettes). All units are equipped with TV, telephone, mini bar, central heating with convectors, hot drink set; free wireless internet and safe deposit box, bathrobes and slippers for guests. All bathrooms are equipped with showers, cosmetic bathroom accessories set, hairdryer, towels and a telephone. Most of the units have balconies with beautiful mountain views. The lobby bar, the reception desk and the main restaurant also went through complete architectural refurbishment. The hotel offers a big restaurants, à la carte restaurant; nightclub, après bar and bowling bar, bowling hall, business center, kids’ playground, parking and relax center.
Not a 5 star hotel
Reviewed By SofiaktdWe have booked three rooms and i made bank transfers for the 20% of the full price. Even though i sent an email with the receipt of the bank transfer they charged us the full price for one of the rooms (unacceptable for a 5 star hotel) and when we proved that we actually paid the deposit they didn't gave us the money back in cash but we have to wait to get the money through the bank.. Beds and pillows really uncomfortable and the room was too hot, we couldn't sleep and we had constantly to get the temperature down and open the window. Breakfast was very good and also the spa was excellent. We also appreciated the shuttle bus for the ski center. Overall it was a good experience but it definitely doesn't deserve 5 stars.
