Surrounded on all sides by snow-capped peaks and set at the narrow head of a deep valley, Ouray touts itself as the "Switzerland of America." With no nearby ski area to attract the tourism of other alpine Colorado towns, Ouray has kept much of its authentic turn-of-the-century charm. The whole town is registered as a Historic District and includes many buildings on the National Register of Historic Places. Its free Ice Park attracts amateur and pro ice climbers from around the world.

Located in downtown Ouray Colorado. One block off 550. Clean comfortable rooms with Mountain View’s from every side of the building. Near Ouray hot springs. Lots of outdoor activities near by.
Had all the basic necessities for a good night sleep and stay. Nice, clean room with comfortable bedding. Friendly front desk attendant at check in. Bathroom appeared to be recently updated and I liked how sink area was separate from toilet/ shower area. Ample towels provided. Rooms at this hotel open to outside. Ouray is a great little town and a good one to get stuck in if you don’t want to do the Red Mountain Pass at night. We had to miss the complimentary breakfast because we wanted to get on the pass before it closed again at 8:30 am.

This lodge is one of a kind. Offering mountain view rooms and breath taking scenes to ensure the perfect picture backdrop. We are located Next to the Million Dollar Highway(hwy 550)one block off Main St. Perfect quiet location away from the hustle and bustle of the city. All of our pools are Natural Mineral Hot Springs. We have a Full Hot Breakfast. You can look forward to Eggs, Hash Browns, Biscuits & Gravy, fresh fruit, and assorted hot and cold cereals. There's so much more than can be written here. You'll just have to see for yourself. Join us for a get away you will not forget.
The main building of the Twin Peaks is undergoing a total renovation 7 days per week. Twin Peaks advertises Monday-Saturday construction which is NOT TRUE. New hot tubs are still under construction. Two new pools are completed which sit in the middle of the constant noise, construction dust and many safety issues. The construction foreman/manager was extremely rude telling us they had to work on Sundays to get it done. No regard for current guests. We requested a discount because of Sunday construction. This was denied. PLEASE do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else in Ouray.

Loved our stay. Super friendly Lodge Keepers. Nice front office with coffee, tea, cocoa, s’more kit, and games. Also had a few little snacks to purchase. Our two rooms were nice and clean. Clean as in even the baseboards were cleaned. Bed comfy. Nice sized. Had a little fridge and microwave. Which was really great. Had dispensers of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the shower. Shower nice and really clean with an upgraded shower head. Had a little area with a fire pit (s’mores kit). Behind hotel was a little cafe that was really good. Laundry facilities (my only complaint would be the price of washing was the highest I have ever paid). Great location. Would definitely stay again. Loved it!!!!!

Located in Ouray's Historic District, the Hotel Ouray, provides a turn-of-the-century experience with a contemporary touch. Rooms have been updated. 5 Suites and 9 Rooms. We accommodate those 12 years of age and over.
This visit was scheduled a week in advance. To use their hot springs pool was $75 for an hour. We arrived and were charged and given a key to the private entrance. When we opened the door it was disgusting Wirth bird poop all over and bugs and dirt in the pool. I actually cleaned it for our first 15 minutes but my wife and I decided it was too disgusting to use. Pictures show the crap that was in the pool. I went to front desk and was told the manager would credit the charge! No such thing happened! I called 3x to talk to manager Sara who never returned my call but the woman who answered the call said “ we clean every morning”! I said it’s 7 pm and the place was a mess, she said that’s nature! Not only was I promised a refund that never happened but the manager never even called. Not a place to visit if you want a clean experience.

When I saw the awful reviews several months ago I almost cancelled our reservations, but it would have been hard to find other ones for New Year’s. Actually this was an average motel, pretty old, and very much like many in Colorado mountain towns. It has been substantially remodeled and the work was done well and fit in with the location. It took a long time to get hot water and it didn’t seem all that hot. Venetian blinds on one window needed rehabilitation. The bed could have been firmer. Rooms were smaller when this place was built and even a remodel can’t make them bigger. Breakfast was a bag on some low quality food and fresh fruit. But it was fine for a few nights. Some reviewers seem to think only new “motels” made up of soulless boxes are ok. This does have character.

We stayed two nights in the Starlight Room in March. The room was very spacious and well appointed. Big windows in the front looking out at Whitehouse mountain, large bathroom, and a mini fridge and microwave in the room. We heard no noise at night - no traffic, no internal noise. Quietest hotel room we have ever been in. The hot tub out back was perfect for recovery on a snowy night. We enjoyed the full breakfast every morning. Melissa's waffles were amazing! Both she and Charlie are very gracious hosts. We would absolutely stay here again.

While our stay was only one night, the hotel was beautiful and the host was wonderful. We always enjoy staying in older hotels and learning the history behind them and the beautiful towns that they are in. Thank you so much, if we are ever through Ouray again, we will absolutely stay here again!!!

The fridge, microwave and breakfast were a good fit. The family in this family business is personally invested in pleasing its guests. The outside patio, seating area and hot tub was very inviting.
