Loved the place. Lovely garden to sit and relax in sun. Very spacious rooms with each room having a balcony as well as separate sit-out area. Best part in room was continuously running hot water. In whole Ladakh trip, perhaps we had our best shower in this place :-) Staff is very courteous and service is very good. We reached hotel at around 8.30 pm. Running hot water was not available at that time. But, we badly needed it having been in dust storm earlier in day. On our request, manager immediately, released hot water from storage. Food was very good. Both dinner and breakfast had good choices and homely taste. They don't provide electric kettle in room which is the only thing we found odd. But, that didn't turn out to be an issue because they provide hot water for drinking, in kettle, on request.

I stayed here with my friends in July for one night. However I absolutely loved my stay here. I wish I had stayed longer. I loved the view, the ambience, the service, the staff and the food. The rooms were warm, spacious and had tasteful interiors. The dinner buffet was so yummy and we were provided with unlimited refills. The little stream running through the property was wonderful. All in all a great stay.

Worst stay during my whole travel. Paid appx 5k per day including 2 meals but it qas all waste.. Place is not maintained. Tents are not proper zipped. Meal is below average. Also u can found different types of worms in sink, washrooms and blankets. Also when we were out , our baggage was touched and shifted from its original place which shows that someone enetered our tent.

The atmosphere and the scenery combined with the ambience of our resort will create lasting and beautiful memories that you will cherish for ever.
I stayed here on 15th of May with my wife and one married ouple and three friends. We asked for born fire next to our tent and they asked for extra money 1500₹ which was not mentioned anywhere and most resort provide free of cost. They placed out born fire in front of a tent where a family with kids were staying and we were not aware of. We were playing music at pretty low volume ( audible to 7 of us). The lady in the tent ( who was a friend of the owner Stanzin Shakya) cam out of the tent shouting and abusing haryanvis. When she said wrong things about haryana instead of requesting to stop playing music. To sort this issue police was called and hotel management instead of trying to sort the issue started lying that we are a bunch of drunkards who were drinking alcohol and playing loud music without their permission. ( ps they served us ice and snacks). They supported the lady and family as she was an influential lady with refrences in Ladakh and we were notmal people who were in Nubra to spend some good time with each other, play games. It was just 9pm? What is the point of staying in a open resort with camp when you can't do bornfire or chat or play games with friend? They do not have any standardised hotel policies ( please ask for a manual of terms and cond i am sure they do not have single). They don't allow alcohol but yes they will serve you ice and starters ( and will later lie to police like they did not see you drinking in the open born fire and will create an issue on you drinking in their premises). They don't allow music but yes they will give you a fancy speaker to play music. I would never recommend a friend or family or female traveler to stay here! They owner was drunk and talked rudely on phone at 11pm and asked me and my friend to leave the resort at late hours knowing we have women with us! Tell me what kind of luxury resort does that! I have traveled a lot but have not experienced something like this. Any policy should have been communicated while checkin. A responsible owner or maneger should be aware what is going on in their hotel. Ps- Don't fall for this luxury word in their resort name! It is just a camp site with no views and isolation. OWNER MR.SHAKYA MISBEHAVED A BIG NO FOR GIRLS AND FAMILY

The Silk Route Cottages is located in the beautiful, serene village of Sumur in Nubra valley. The resort is an eco-friendly and fully solar-powered property. Every individual cottage has an attached bath with one dressing cum luggage room. The cottages are surrounded by greenery with beautiful apricot and apple orchid. The traditional spacious dining hall serves quality Indian, Chinese, Continental, and Ladakhi cuisines. Most of the vegetables and fruits used comes from our own garden and are purely organic. Unlike guest houses or hotels, the cottages provide a feeling of closeness to nature yet with modern interiors and set up for a comfortable stay after an exhausting safari or trek. The Silk Route Cottages is walking distance from the Samstanling monastery. Please Note: We are spread over a hillside (traveling with infants or elderly will need to walk to their cottages); We do not have room service or TV’s in our rooms. We feel that guests who come to Silk Route Cottages, should be able to disconnect completely and get rejuvenated; Having an internet connection and TVs would defeat that purpose of ours as guests would then spend time in their rooms, instead of exploring the nature in and around Sumur village. We are in the Nubra region of Ladakh, where hot water is in perennial shortage. We appreciate your sensitivity to our location.
A very beautiful property with cute Bamboo rooms and huge garden area. The rooms have a shared common terrace with a great view of the mountains. The property was a eco friendly property as it is power on solar energy and has solar water heating. The water timings can be inconvenient but its expected as its in a village in Nubra called Sumur. Overall great stay and good food and service. Special thanks to Mr Motup for his help.

20 Super Deluxe Tents.
The property actually is very nice but the maintenance is very poor with wild growths around. The free area could easily be converted in to a lawn/flower garden etc.with good taste. The service is not very good either. The reception cum restaurant cum office is a good one but the food is prepared with little care. Not the best option in Hunder.

Cradled by jagged mountains on the road north from the Leh Valley, meet two ancient rivers - the Nubra and the Shyok. They form the enchanting Nubra Valley - an oasis of legendary merchants, mercenaries and monks who crossed these high-altitude trans-Himalayan sand dunes in search of gold, glory and God. Continuing the expedition through dramatic landscapes of enormous glaciated peaks and arid pathways, reach the tranquil yet thriving village of Diskit. Untouched by the mainstream, the village has preserved its sanctity beautifully, despite being the commercial hub of Nubra.
Chamba Camp Diskit is run by TUTC. The location is unmatched with breathtaking views of Diskit Monastery and Karakoram range. The tents are luxurious having a rustic feel. Furniture is typically safari/campaign type. Dining tent is also pretty but small. Reception tent is well stocked with coffee table books. Staff is very courteous, Mr Yogeshwar made all efforts to make our stay memorable. Our guide Mr Punchok Zimang was really very informed and friendly. Overall our stay was amazing.
