What an amazing place to stay, from the moment one walks into the lobby to check in until the time you leave it was a very positive experience. The morning after check in I met a guy outside asking how my stay was, he was the cleaning staff wanting to know if my room was clean enough, the rooms were very clean. I went for breakfast to find it was a cook to order from the menue with a great selection. i have only stayed here once but plan to return and would highly reccomend ths location.

I was so impressed by the staff at this Hotel. It was often commented on by my friends/colleagues who were also staying there for a conference . I cannot remember when I last stayed somewhere where I would be able to state by name outstanding staff. In this instance there are four, Nathan at the Front Desk, Kaleb the Concierge and Mikala and Jessica at the Level Bar.

My husband and I stayed at the Comfort Hotel earlier this month for the first time ever and we were very impressed with absolutely everything. The staff were all so friendly and helpful and radiated happiness in such a way it was contagious. Our room was clean and spacious and someone had thought of everything, right down to a nightlight in the bathroom and a large 2-sided handheld mirror on the vanity, very important details (to us) never seen at any other hotel. They also offer free movies on DVD that you can choose and check out at the front desk. The icing on the cake was the wonderful hot breakfast! We will definitely be staying at the Comfort Hotel in the future. Definitely worth 5 stars!

Originally built in October 1928, the Lord Nelson Hotel is a legendary landmark in downtown Halifax located at the corner of Spring Garden Road and South Park Street across from the beautiful Public Gardens.
We had an amazing stay at this property. So many little extras such as real glasses and glass mugs in the room. Real creamers and milkettes in the fridge, wine bottle opener, huge bath towels. Every staff member we encountered was beyond helpful and friendly. Only one downfall about this place is that the views on the back side of the hotel look like a prison yard.

Cambridge Suites Hotel is located in Downtown Halifax across from Citadel Hill. The rooftop patio offers a beautiful panorama of the city and you're within walking distance of many downtown attractions. Guest rooms feature comfortable beds in spacious living areas and kitchenettes to make you feel at home. Complimentary Continental breakfast helps start your day while our sauna, spa tub & fitness area lets you wind down.
Our room was right by the elevator on the fifth floor, also where one of two ice machines is located. There was significant light entering the room at night from around the door, as well as significant noise that meant we had a hard time getting to sleep and were woken up through the night as well. The thermostat could only be adjusted in full degrees so the temperature of the room was difficult to control. There was a lot of noise coming up from the street to our room as well despite the curtains being closed. The staff at the front desk were wonderful but I won't plan to stay again.

Firstly let me start by saying how fantastic all the staff are at the Sutton Place Halifax, and a special mention to Olivia who checked us in and greeted us everyday of our stay. The room we were given was beautiful with great views of the harbour from the floor to ceiling windows. It was extremely tastefully decorated with a very comfy king bed, a huge couch, an arm chair and loads of storage space. The bathroom was equally as beautiful, with a separate toilet and a lovely rainfall shower. The only reason I haven’t given it 5 stars, is the lack of the little touches, such as complimentary bottled water, which is now the norm in most hotels of equal calibre these days. There was also an empty mini bar with a price list, so if you wanted water or a soda you couldn’t even buy one. This did become a problem for us one night as the convenience stores in Halifax seem to close relatively early. Also a kettle would be nice as well as a Nespresso machine in order to have the choice of tea or coffee. Other than those minor shortcomings, we really enjoyed our stay at the Sutton Place Halifax and would definitely stay again.

It started with checkin--the staff member was abrupt. The rest of the staff were friendly. The room was clean enough, but the tub had dirt and mildew around the edges--it just needed a scrubbing brush and a bit of elbow grease. One bed had a fitted sheet that was the wrong size so it kept coming off. The first day's breakfast was adequate, though the oatmeal was runny and unappetizing. On the second day, the omelettes and sausages were lousy, and the waffle machines didn't always seem to work (it wasn't just me--I saw another person having trouble). All in all, not a great stay. If you book, be aware that kids' sport teams may favour this location. There were tons of kids there on the weekend, but we didn't hear them in our room. We did, however, decide against swimming since there was a large group of boys playing in the pool.

Nice enough hotel, travelling as a family for hockey tournament. Stayed for 2 nights, but after the first night our room was not cleaned and had to call front desk to replenish basic needed items such as towels and toilet tissue etc. Pre-ordered breakfast but still had to wait 40 minutes for it when time had been stipulated in the pre-order process.

This hotel is not at all what it appears on line. It is truly a dump. My room was awful, service was awful and the “breakfast” was inedible. It looks really nice on line but I was shocked at how worn out and tired the place was. I have nothing hood to say about it other than the location. I would never stay here again.
