It was in an area where I could get food or items I needed. The staff gave me a gift bag, full of locations to visit, dine or activyospots.

Reviewed By Roam798741Have stayed at Bay watch for 15 years. Last 5 the service level has gone down. They must have problem hiring people. No longer clean rooms daily you have to go down to get extra towels. The furniture in the condos varied greatly. Hopefully they will get their act together and appreciate our large group or we may look elsewhere

Reviewed By patrickrO9132EOThis hotel has really gone downhill since my last visit. First of all the floors were filthy. You'll notice all the dirt sticking to your feet. When you step in the shower the shower floor will turn black. You'll have to rub the dirt all your feet before getting in bed. Pretty disgusting. You'll get a couple of "good" towels to start your stay. If you need more, the front desk will give you some extra towels that are so thin they actually hurt to use them. The beds gave us back aches. The breakfast consisted of waffles or a Jimmy Jones biscuit. Not anything like the picture on their website. If this is what Choice Hotels has become, I'll be staying at their competitors from now on.

Reviewed By lakematesOverall we had a great vacation. Our unit was #114 and the balcony faces North so the unit and balcony never gets direct sunlight. It was still a bit chilly so we didn't get to use it much. The unit was very clean and met our needs perfectly for 2, I think it would be tight for a family of 4 but adequate. A refresh on the flatware and some larger mugs for coffee would be great. King sized bed was ideal, but it will need a new mattress very soon. Washer and Dryer was really handy and worked fine . A broom and dustpan would help too as we were there for a week and the floor in dining area could have used a sweeping. If you need help with anything ask for Randy, but he's only there Sunday and Monday. He was a huge help to us. The only BIG issue at this facility is the parking. There are some units that are lived in fulltime and those that are snowbirds, there are just simply not enough spaces for everyone. It is also a bit noisy with traffic sounds but we didn't let those two issues spoil our time there,

Reviewed By nbond979313I would recommend this hotel. It is very nice and clean, close to beach, quiet and relaxing. It allows pets, but we never heard any noise inside of our room. Breakfast was well stocked and enjoyable. Internet worked great.

The whole experience was shocking and terrible
Reviewed By disabledvet2018Arrived on 5/14/2022 to a almost empty parking lot and proceeded to the front desk to get a room. I asked the employee at the front desk what the room rate was, I explained I was a disabled Veteran and she said we don't have any special rates for veterans. she took my credit card and asked for my drivers licence. I provided my drivers licence and she told me we don't rent to locals. I was very disappointed and asked her really no locals I will have to report this info on all the review websites so others are not blindsided by this upon check in. At that point she called me an a$$hole, I asked her name so I could report this to management and she replied I don't have a name. I tried to take her photo to report to management and she ran in the back room of the front desk so I walked outside and took her photo through the window after she returned to the front desk when she thought I had left. The whole experience was shocking and terrible it felt kind of racist. I walked 100 feet to the hotel next door and checked in without any issues at all. Stay elsewhere!

Needs better cleaning and renovations
Reviewed By GretchenM_12At first sight this condo Bahama Sands 902 didn’t look too bad but it really needs some renovating. Vacasa texted me shortly after arrival and asked me to rate the level of cleanliness. At that time I gave it a 3.5-4. Their reply was they’re glad the cleanliness held up to my expectations. I replied back because it did not meet my expectations. They asked me to send pictures of the areas I had problems with and asked if I want them to send someone to reclean it. I declined as we didn’t want the cleaning to interfere with our vacation plans. We just decided to wipe things down ourselves. I told them we only received two washcloths for the entire condo and not that many bath towels. I asked if they could just bring some to us. Their response was they only provide fresh linens and 1 bath towel, hand towel and wash cloth per person. I repeated that we didn’t get all that. They apologized and said they’d alert their local cleaning staff. We never did receive the correct number of towels and washcloths. Other problems we found were socks left outside the front door, sock left in the master bedroom, water bottle on floor by couch, crumbs left on toaster, hair ties on desk in bedroom, cigarette butts on balcony (even though large signs posted no smoking, vaping, marijuana, etc), stains on bedding. The washing machine was so dirty. I used a Clorox wipe and the dirt came right off which proves housekeeping just didn’t clean it. I went to use the dryer and checked the lint filter first. There was so much lint packed into it like it’s never been cleaned out before. That was pretty disgusting. The condo had a bad odor. There was an empty air freshener plug in the wall by the door which makes me think they must be aware of the smell. We went to Bath & Body Works and bought three wallflowers to make it smell better. The furniture needs to be replaced especially living room. The arm rest of the chair is ripped and the couches are worn down and don’t look good. I ended up sitting at the dining room table most of the time. The master bath tub is outdated and could use some caulking. It does have a lot of potential. The main issues come lack of cleaning and furniture and carpet needing to be replaced. The unit itself is great with each bedroom having a balcony plus there are three windows in the living room/dining room area. It really brightened the place up. If staying at Bahama Sands again I would definitely chose a corner unit again. One other thing to mention, our first and last nights there were sirens that went off in the building and announcements in the stairwells saying do not use the elevators. Fire trucks came. The first time I call the operator to find out what was going on and if we needed to evacuate. This must have been a central answering service because the man asked what hotel I was at. He wasn’t aware of anything so he’d have to make some phone calls. I never did hear back from anyone. The sirens went off about 10-15 min after the fireman arrived. This happened at 10:30 pm the first night and 4:30 am the last night. Not sure if this is a common occurrence. Sent from my iPhone
