The rooms are beautifully appointed, peacefully quiet, and very comfortable. The food at the restaurant was fantastic with happy, helpful wait staff. We felt spoilt and well looked after. We will definitely be back and highly recommend The Remington to anyone that appreciates high quality, professional practices, and peace and quiet. A great home base to explore the wine regions of the Hunter Valley.

This time reception was very obliging in transferring us to a quiet room at the back when the parking near our allocated room was very congested. The rooms and beds are comfortable with all the expected amenities. The Thai restaurant in the complex never disappoints.

Very unsatisfactory
Reviewed By LadyRen_ReniaCoxBooked in to stay overnight as we had stayed here before and it was a convenient cheap stay. Sadly it is now very unsatisfactory. It was bitterly cold. No electric blankets. The air conditioner did not work. No night manager at 7.30pm at night to assist. Extremely unhappy. LST visit

DO NOT STAY HERE - stuff members disgustingly rude
Reviewed By kiahf2022Do not stay here. In all of my years I have never experienced such rudeness from staff members. The manager working Monday evening 17 January had me in tears. (I asked her name but she hesitated to give it to me) Absolutely disgusting. If the owner of the property is reading this I would love for you to contact me - 0421 115 274. For any customers - do yourself a huge favour and stay at one of the motels down the road.

Would be reluctant to go back
Reviewed By SlightlySweetI have already written a review praising the Vegetable Linguine. The last two times I've had it, it was awful. when I first had it, I loved it. It was a lovely tomato based sauce, with pieces of eggplant and other vegies in it. Now, it's heavy on oil, and the sauce can best be described as an eggplant puree goo. Yuk.

Don't judge a book by its cover
Reviewed By SuzyWongHubby & I stopped here overnight whilst driving from S.A. to QLD. There was very limited accommodation left in Muswellbrook so we hesitantly booked into this Motel. The outside of the motel from the road is not very inviting however, what a pleasant surprise we had during our stay. To start off, the receptionist was very friendly. When we opened the door to our room we were greeted by a spotlessly clean room. The towels were folded very neatly on the bed, the room was set our with thought with electricity plugs near the beds for phones to charge and a sleep apnea machine to be plugged in. There were even 2 champagne glasses in the room. And the entire room was VERY CLEAN!! We stayed at numerous hotels, motels and apartments during our 2 week road trip throughout rural Australia and honestly, we originally thought this was going to be the worst overnight abode and it ended up being the best! I can't recall our double room type we had but it was ground level and obviously had been recently updated. They discount the room rate if you pay cash. We didn't ask, they just offered. If we are ever back that way we will most definitely stay again. A typical case of not judging a book by its cover!

Reviewed By Jan SAn older, no fuss motel. Very clean. Lovely receptionist. Very reasonable rates. Very close to shops, petrol stations , fast food outlets etc. Rooms aren't large but adequate. We only stayed a night, but, very happy to come back. Views at the back overlooking the golf course.

Reviewed By ArthurC448The motel is clean and in a good location. Staff were very helpful. Unfortunately the WiFi was not working and they had trouble getting it to work. Also - there are no Power Point's near the bed - not good if you have medical equipment. Luckily I carry an extension chord - but this failure annoys me. Other than that - a pleasant stay.
