Stay at our Downtown Bethesda Hotel, 20 Minutes to D.C. Access the vibrant sights, sounds, and tastes of downtown Bethesda. Perfectly located atop the Bethesda Metro station and minutes from downtown D.C, our hotel is the ideal destination for business travelers and vacationers alike. We are only a 10 minute metro train ride to the Smithsonian's National Zoo (5 stops) and short drive to Great Falls and Rock Creek Park. Walk to the shops of Bethesda Row or the National Institutes of Health.
My room and early check-on requests were accommodated and the staff were helpful and friendly. The hotel is in a central location and the metro center is right next door. Very convenient. Breakfast cafes are within short walking distance.

The hotel is dated. One of the pillow cases had red stain dots that looked like lip stick or even blood so I just tossed it to the side and used the other pillows. The TV needs to be modernized - needs more selections, newer remote etc. Regardless, I slept decent. Hilton Garden Inn in Manassas, VA is excellent but then again it is newer. Check in was easy and Donna was helpful. She is very beautiful too. I am local and just needed a place to stay to get away for the night. I stayed in room 217 from 4 to 5 June.

Our all-suite hotel is just off Interstate 270 Spur. We're three miles from the National Institutes of Health, Grosvenor-Strathmore subway station, and The Music Center at Strathmore. Dine and shop at the Westfield Montgomery Mall, a five-minute drive away. Our amenities include EV charging stations, free made-to-order breakfast, a pool open year-round, and more.
Good hotel. Room was large and clean. The pool was infested with kids.....As an adult, I wouldn't go in it. The outside pool wasn't set up and was full of algae. Parking is attached to the hotel but its a bit of a walk.

Seven stroy brick building with interior corridors.
If you enjoy being treated brusquely and rudely by a desk clerk, this is the place for you. I have never been spoken to in such an insulting, belligerent and threatening manner - both on the phone and face to face - as I was by the night clerk at this property. Greeted with a smile and a warm cookie? Not here.

This is a tough review to write because this hotel was a case of extremes - so many nice things but some seriously negative things that made our stay unpleasant, which I am unsure as to whether the hotel had any control over, but would dissuade me from staying there again. Let me say first the hotel is modern and beautiful, looks like they took an old Embassy Suites and put a lot of effort into making it nicer and more modern than ever. Lobby was beautiful, room impeccably clean, internet access good, employees all very friendly and attentive, a Safeway across the street was super convenient for those last-minute things I forgot to bring, and an all-around convenient location. The parking garage charge was rather hefty but I knew about it before going and didn't consider it a negative. Here's my problem with the place - there were at least three different LARGE groups there while we stayed, at least one of them consisting of teenagers there for a soccer tournament. Now, kids will be kids but the chaperones clearly didn't have any control over them. They ran ragged all over the hotel, up and down the hallways making so much noise while we were trying to sleep. I believe security and the police came and forced them to quiet down, but it really took some time. They were still really obnoxious and inconsiderate of other guests when we were on the elevators and walking around. The next night ANOTHER group of teenagers came - while the chaperones happened to be staying near us and promised they would keep them under control, they were similarly noisy, inconsiderate of guests and it took a while to quiet them down. Really, these groups must have gotten an awesome group rate because I don't imagine a group of high school kids paying the $220+ per night we were paying (maybe I'm naive like that) Groups like this should really be staying at youth hostels or empty college dorms. That's where I always stayed on class trips. There was also a wedding or two while we were there, those people were fine but it only added to the crowding in the public areas. If you're part of a large group or wedding maybe, can negotiate a good rate, don't mind the noise and want something more than a youth hostel or college dorm, this place is probably great. If you're traveling as a small family group on a weekend or anywhere close to a school holiday, look elsewhere.

Set in the I-270 Technology Corridor, DoubleTree by Hilton Washington DC North/Gaithersburg offers an upscale, new, renovated, convenient base - for business, meetings and events, and family travel. Enjoy a warm DoubleTree welcome with our signature DoubleTree chocolate chip cookie. This hotel in Gaithersburg is located between Rockville and Germantown and about an hour north of Washington DC. Take advantage of our complimentary parking and free shuttle to the Shady Grove Metro station for a ride on the Red Line to points south. The shuttle also travels within a five-mile radius of the hotel. Small meetings, weddings for 300, and banquets for 400 people will be memorable in our 16,000 sq. ft. space. Facilities include two renovated ballrooms, a large pre-function space with floor-to-ceiling windows, and smaller breakout rooms.
Stayed Memorial Day weekend for a soccer tournament. We reserved the king room with fridge. The room is small but sufficient, the bathroom is barely useable it's so small. I would expect this size in a large city downtown but not in Gaithersburg. Housekeeping never came so I had to request towels, etc. Front desk staff upon arrival was less than friendly, though the woman who I saw at the desk later in the weekend was polite. THERE IS NO OUTDOOR POOL. The website clearly states an OUTDOOR AND INDOOR POOL. This is why we booked this hotel. No outdoor pool. Add on top of that there is a "lifeguard" at the indoor pool. Great, right? No. My son and his friend were constantly told to stop playing in the pool. His mom and myself were clearly watching them and being mindful of the few others in the pool, but the lifeguard watched them like a hawk with a fowl expression and jumped up every chance she had to tell them they were being too wild. Another boy same age was there with his dad and he repeatedly jumped in the pool from the side. After our kids saw him do so multiple times they did the exact same thing in the same location and they were yelled at. Totally ruined the pool experience. Stairwells were not well lit, while the elevators lurched and stalled and made us all uncomfortable. I gave it two stars because it was a decent location. Did I mention the cookies were not warm or fresh tasting? I would not recommend this hotel and obviously we will not be staying here next time.

The location of this hotel is great in the Rockville Town Square and two blocks from the Rockville Metro station. It is reasonably quiet (some road noise), has a nice garage for $14 a night (beware that there is a "2" Level as well as a "G2" Level and they are different) and comfortable rooms. However, I called before we arrived on April 30 and asked about whether or not the restaurant was in operation ("maybe but I'm not sure if it will be") and if the bar was operating--"yes definitely" I was told. Neither was in operation although when I peeked under the bar our last day and saw open wine bottles...interesting! There is a snack area in the lobby with items for sale but no alcohol (however, it is listed on the price list). My advice is to wait to stay here until their food/bar services are restored! The staff was very sweet and helpful. The small indoor pool and hot tub were sparking clean (although the hot tub jets were not operating). This property will be great when everything is working!

We came to the Canopy Hilton Bethesda North for my niece's wedding. There was a little misunderstanding when we checked in. I did address to management why I was unhappy at that time manager right away contacted me and offered to make things right. I truly believe that is a good customer service taking responsibility and make things right. I had communicated with Mr. John Gilligan and he was very understanding and very helpful and I appreciate him very much.

The Hilton Garden Inn Bethesda hotel is the ideal location to experience all that Washington, DC and suburban Maryland has to offer. Conveniently located just one block from the Bethesda Metrorail Red Line in chic, downtown Bethesda, you'll be just 7 miles northwest of metropolitan DC and centrally located within a thriving urban district, brimming with nearly 200 restaurants, two live theatres, 20 art galleries, and some of the best shopping in the Nation's Capital.
There are nothing much to say but it is a poorly managed property! The location is good, parking garage is expensive, room quality is poor, stained restrooms, smelly carpet! It was hard to finish my stay here.

Overall great hotel - just no parking for SUV's and litteraly no communication at check-in if you use the digital key like we did. Would stay here again - my advice is to triple check your bill at checkout.
