Beautiful guesthouse
Reviewed By Ariel BLocated in a small alley in the village of Montecarlo di Lucca, the guesthouse is a real gem. It has 8 beautifully furnished rooms/suits, each one different, with modern bathrooms, and a nice dining room on the first floor. The owners, Flavio and Francesca are very friendly and helpful. Don't forget to visit the small museum in the cellar, and the quiet terrace with the panoramic view. We enjoyed our stay there very much.

We started with the wine tour where you see the winery, learn how the different wines are produced, and end with a delicious tasting of wine paired with light food. It was a perfect tour and our host Chiara was amazing! The stay at the resort and dinner was also great, it's a really beautiful place where there is thought of everything so you get the best possible stay. Delicious food in the restaurant. I will definitely recommend this place.

The Antica Casa dei Rassicurati lies in the center of the medieval village Montecarlo surrounded by vineyards and olive groves on a hilltop at only 18 km far from Lucca. From here you can easily reach the Tuscan cities like Pisa or Florence, the mountains of the Garfagnana and the seaside. The charming B&B has cozy bedrooms with wooden-beam sealing and brick wood floor, all with private bathrooms, telephone and TV. A delicious breakfast is served. We only offer our guests, by reservation, the restaurant service with home cooking dishes linked to our land.

Reviewed By PatrizioDublinWe visited Montecarlo yesterday with another couple and we’re fortunate enough to have reserved rooms in this very romantic lovely old style Guest House with it's original features. We were greeted at 11 a.m. for check in by the lovely Proprietor, Giulia who could not have been more welcoming, it was like we were being greeted by an old friend. She showed us to our lovely romantic rooms which were based on different flowers e.g. Lavender etc. The rooms were very comfortable with everything you needed and ours had a lovely little balcony. We were able to have an aperitivo yesterday evening sitting under the shade of a tree while Giulia served us with snacks to accompany our drinks and chatted to us about the local area. This morning we had a lovely breakfast with a great variety of local and home produced croissants, cakes, yoghurts, ham, cheese etc. again served by the other friendly owner, Davide in the same romantic setting under the tree. I would highly recommend this Guest House for your next visit to Montecarlo. Our lovely hosts were very helpful from our first communication with them and advised us regarding where to dine and also where to park the car. Grazie mille Giulia and Davide e ci vediamo alla prossima.

The farmhouse is located along the main road leading to the quaint village of Montecarlo. The complex is perfectly situated for relaxing and for touring Tuscany. It disposes of 10 apartments in self-catering, 9 double rooms and 1 single room all provided by self-adjustable air-conditioning and heating system and free Wi-Fi. 10 the apartments located on the ground or first floor. Rustic and with one/two bedrooms represen e ideal solution for families. It includes an area of 7 hectares, dotted with vineyards, olive groves and the old establishment of the farm. The estate is easy to reach from the A11 motorway Firenze Mare. Exit the A11 at Capannori and follow directions to the village of Montecarlo which lies 15 kilometres away from Lucca and Montecatini Terme, 30 km from Pisa and 60 km from Florence. Borgo La Torre is close by the coastal resort of Versilia and is also surrounded by several villages of the Garfagnana region as well as the ancient villas of the Lucca area and the renowned Pinocchio amusement park, the Butterfly House and the historical Villa Garzoni with the Italian-style garden.
Really disappointing...

Instead, this place is along a main road and furthermore operates a restaurant which caters for late evening parties with loud music. We could only sleep well the day the restaurant was off. So for the calm, forget it. Then you expect the breakfast to balance the bad impression. And it ends up being a real shame, especially in such an exquisite food country like Italy. Bread was harder than a rock, fruit as well. The rest was kind of “direct from supermarket” stuff. We ended up buying our own fruit. Let alone the poor service... This place lacks a soul (and a professional in the hospitality industry to run it). To not end up on a too low note, the jacuzzi and the upwards view on Montecarlo were appreciated. PS: luckily the next two Agriturismo locations we visited where, contrarily to this one, real jewels.

My favorite place to stay in Italy
Reviewed By Margret KI was at La Nina last 16 years ago, back then i visited them 4 times cause is was a wonderful place to stay and eat. I moved out of Europe and only returned 2 years ago, and it was my dream to go back to La Nina, finally last week i was able. We stayed 3 nights in the beautiful house that is next to the restaurant. The house is tastefully decorated inside, the rooms are very spacious and clean, beds super comfortable. Because it's located up on a hill, the views from the well kept garden are stunning. We had dinner 3 nights at the restaurant. The food was even better then i remembered it to be. Because we stayed 3 nights, we tasted most of the menu. And each and every dish was delicious, my favorite the stuffed zucchini flowers as a starter, the pasta with truffle and their meats, all good. Great wine selection too. But what makes the place really special to me is the staff. They are all so friendly and helpful, really make you feel welcome. Hope to return in June and can higly recommend.

Gli ospiti del Casolare dei Fiori, hanno la possibilità di visitare le aree produttive ed affiancare la famiglia Pasquinelli nella produzione di verde ornamentale e fiori recisi , così da carpire ogni piccolo segreto.Nell' agriturismo è possibile organizzare cerimonie di tutti i generi, come matrimoni, comunioni, battesimi, compleanni, lauree, ma anche cene aziendali, di fine anno scolastico, addio al nubilato o celibato.

Self catering apartment with two bedrooms, shower room/toilet, dining/kitchenette with air con and very welcome mosquito nets on all windows. A farm which provides holiday accommodation - agriturisimo - to supplement income. This was a flower farm and the scent of flowers was lovely. It would have been interesting to see around the farm but this wasn't offered and we didn't like to be intrusive. We were well received on the Saturday when we arrived but we were left to our own devices after this. They also do weddings and they were busy preparing for a wedding the day we arrived (as well as the day we left). During preparation for the wedding and the event itself, the pool seemed to be out of bounds. The apartment itself (Rosa Rossa) was one of about 4 that were available. It was on the first floor with a view over the pool which was handy for keeping an eye on our boys. The decor and set up of the apartment was great. While it was mostly clean, on our arrival, the kitchen needed a bit more attention with internals of cupboards and utensils not very clean looking and requiring a fair bit of attention. We also inherited the left over food remains of the previous occupants and had to dispose of these ourselves. However, it was handy having the use of the washing machine which was on site, near the pool. The location was ideal for exploring some of the locations around: Florence, Pisa, San Gimignano, etc. A very peaceful area and a real sense of living in rural Tuscany rather than in a touristy place. Would recommend.

The Antica Casa Naldi is a holiday house located in the historic center of the medieval village of Montecarlo, in a quiet and panoramic position. The house was builded in the 14th century and recently carefully renovated, has kept intact the original structure, characterized by the typical wooden beam ceilings, stone stairs and terracotta floors. The result is an environment that reflects the typical Tuscan style, authentic, full of charm that makes you feel at home. There are 4 bedrooms, 2 double and 2 triple, a spacious kitchen with a small terrace and acccess to the walls and a large basement room with couryard. Located inside the ancient walls of the medielwal village Montecarlo, you are near the "Teatro dei Rassicurati", a historic jewel of Italian theater, and the "Rocca del Cerruglio", an imposing fortification that dominates the surrounding provinces. Close to the house you will find renowned restaurants and wineries that are fully representative of the "Wine and Oil Road of the Lucchesi and Montecarlo Hills". Free parking is possible outside the village walls!

Reviewed By susanashton2This is a beautifully situated bed and breakfast. Rooms very comfortable and spacious. Very friendly hostess could not do enough for you. The breakfast was amazing and the cakes wow wow and wow just loved it. Stayed here for four nights we went out to eat but on two occasions we went to the local deli and ate at home, yes I did call it home because that is what it felt like. Our friend Christina and Gavin had stayed here on several occasions and it could not of been better. It was even better than the told us. You will not be disappointed. Would love to go back here again.

Alessandra helped us to get through a rainy day with suggesting and organising a wine tasting at a famous and cozy winery. We can absolutely recommend the "Al Gattosaggio" in the heart of tuscany! Just restructured it offers the best comfort while maintaing the true Tuscan style. The property which extends over 4 hectares of land planted with olive trees and vines, offers our guests tranquillity and a swimming pool with an unique panorama on the hills of Montecarlo.

Il posto è immerso in un verde curatissimo e nella pace più assoluta, le camere sono minuziosamente pulite e arredate con gusto. La proprietaria, Veronica, è cortese e sempre pronta a venire incontro alle esigenze dei suoi ospiti. Abbiamo trascorso un soggiorno rilassante ma, al tempo stesso, la posizione strategica del b&b ci ha permesso di visitare facilmente molte località della Toscana (e non solo), regalandoci la vacanza che avevamo sognato…torneremo sicuramente!!!
