Reviewed By cheryltT6895HMThe hotel is set in a scene of breathtaking beauty and the pool and other common areas are designed to help you enjoy the views wherever you may be. We stayed in the deluxe rooms and they were very well appointed with attention to the sorts of details that matter to travelers. The breakfast was wonderful and the service by the staff was always friendly and helpful despite our inability to speak Italian. Along with our group of 5 other couples, we were already extremely impressed when the front desk went above and beyond, to help me track down my luggage that had gotten inexplicably delayed in customs. They even helped to arrange for its shipment back to me. I would be delighted to return to this hotel.

Reviewed By SFM001We have stayed here a couple of times now and everytime we leave we agree to come back. The location is stunning, the staff so friendly, and the rooms are so beautiful. The sleep quality was excellent, the rooms are clean and spending a moment at the great pool after a day exploring the Piemont is just perfect. As mentioned: we will certainly be back.

Reviewed By SurfingiairlinesWe had a room/apartment on the ground floor. when we entered this room,i couldn't believe what i saw,really. I'm 1.74cm height,if you go to the bedroom,and you're 1.76,than you can't stand straight without hittin' your head. It's a very claustrophobic feeling.

If you stay in Monforte, then Grappolo d'Oro is the place to stay, excellent restaurant in the hotel (didn't use it this time). The staff is very friendly and helpful, you feel at ease when you are there. We have visited in the spring the other times, this time in the middle of the summer, and the lack of air condition was a bit of a problem, warm nights in July. Other than that - perfect

Reviewed By freshairfanWe had one of the apartments up the hill from the main hotel, where the restaurant is located. What a fantastic place! The apartment had a functional kitchen, dining area, living room, bedroom and luxurious bathroom, all very comfortable and decorated beautifully. The views from the balcony of the mountains are astounding. It's a short and very enjoyable walk down to the center of the village and the hotel (where we went for breakfast). The walk back up gives your thighs and lungs a bit of a workout, but if we could do it -- we're in our mid-60s -- most people can. Also, if you walk two minutes up the hill from the apartment, you reach a path into a beautiful forest. The village of Monforte d'Alba has to be one of the most enjoyable of all the villages in the Barolo area, just the right size -- small enough to have a friendly village feeling but big enough to have shops, restaurants, cafes and so on. It's also a great base for exploring the Barolo wine region. We were there in the fall, and the pool was closed, but during the summer the pool area -- also with views of the mountains -- would be a real addition to the experience. Breakfast every morning was wonderful, and the staff were very indulgent of our desire to eat outside (despite the cold), since we were being ultra-cautious about reducing exposure to Covid-19. The main albergo/hotel is beautiful, and the dining room (where everyone else sat) was lovely. It's a fabulous place to stay and we recommend it highly.

The Amalia Cascina in Langa estate is in Monforte d’Alba and is an exclusive starting point to discover the wonders of the Langhe. It was created in 2003 when the Boffa family, seduced by the serenity of the area, acquired an early 20th century farmhouse and its surrounding vineyards that produced the typical wines of the zone: Dolcetto and Barbera. The farm served as the basis for a new project that in just a short time saw the creation of new areas and buildings, with the main farmhouse becoming a boutique B&B. Additional vineyards were then acquired in the prestigious cru of Barolo Bussia and Le Coste in Monforte. A new winery was also built. Their intention was clear: to produce high quality wine that respected the territory and tradition in an elegant and reserved location. If the Amalia Cascina in Langhe project continues to expand today, in line with its initial intention, the merit goes to the commitment and professionalism of the Boffa family because here everything is family-run. Maria Angela, the mother, runs the B&B with great passion; Gigi, the father, applies his vast experience to oversee the management of the estate’s general activities; while son Paolo is in charge of the vineyards and the winery with support of a team of top professionals.

Reviewed By JesperStigCascina Amalia has everything. Very nice rooms, big and enough space for two. The breakfast buffet is one of the best we have had i Italy. The family and staff is so friendly and helpful. The surroundings is magnificent with the garden and pool area located so the view is outstanding. We will come back for sure !!!

Tutte le camere presentano interni climatizzati, una TV a schermo piatto, un'area salotto e un bagno privato con doccia, pantofole, set di cortesia e asciugacapelli. La Costa di Bussia propone una cucina in comune e visite alla cantina vinicola della struttura con degustazioni di vini su richiesta.

Valeria greeted us outside and informed us that we were at the wrong winery, but they do tastings too. She was a wonderful hostess! Very knowledgeable and fluent in English. She also speaks Russian, French and German. All the wines we tasted Dolcetto, Barbera, Nebbiolo, and if course Barolo were fantastic. We are traveling for an extended period of time so they are holding a case of wine that we purchased and shipping it to us in November. Paolo the Owner/Wine maker came into the tasting room to visit with us as well. It has been a little over two weeks since we have been there, but it is one of my favorite wine tasting memories! I hope you enjoy there wines as much as we did!
