Right at the Yonaha Maehama beach, chosen as the best beach in Japan.
Fantastic location on what is possibly the best beach on the island! Beautiful and huge gardens to the front and especially the rear of the hotel. The Coral wing superior twin was quite large and clean and everything worked fine. It had a wonderful view of the turquoise sea!! The bar/cafe food and drinks were expensive but the ambience was brilliant, so enjoyable. It’s a huge hotel, so quite relaxing to walk around. Staff mostly friendly, if not so well trained. However, you couldn’t help thinking that the sole objective of the hotel was to extract as much cash as possible from every guest with the minimum effort! The rooms are top price, but there was no welcome drink and they even wanted rent to use putters on the putting green!! A room leaflet said they also wanted rent to borrow a corkscrew!! That must be a first!! Unique!! Room … Twin beds different length and shape, mattresses very hard, no balcony chairs, no towel hooks in the bathroom, walk mounted television off centre, and although they had satellite channels, for some inexplicable reason all the non Japanese channels were blocked off, so no international news or movies!! Is that unique in the world??!! I’ve never experienced it anywhere else, even in Japan!! The really great hibiscus bath salts given on the first night were not replaced on any of our subsequent nights until requested!!!! Why not??!! Dining … Nirai Kanai was kept freezing cold!! It took long arguments with staff to be permitted to dine at tables on the warmer outside terrace. Guest’s wishes should be happily accommodated!! Food was ok/average, There were no them nights or entertainment, so rather basic and boring …. Three stars?? I canceled my Barbecue reservation, because I was told that although the food was ok, it was very expensive but very little and guests had to cook their own food at their table, so not a real barbecue!! There are many guest rooms, but very few facilities. No fitness centre, no table tennis, no pool/ snooker, no darts, no library!! The children’s facility room was empty!! At night, the gardens had a few lights but were really quite dark!! They need to be lit with beautiful lighting so that guests can enjoy a walk in safety!! My son’s family room was given two sets of towels for his family with the explanation that they match the number of beds, and not the number in the family!!! In a “family” room!!! The man at the leisure desk said he’d never heard of snorkelling tours even though they’re advertised in the hotel’s website!! Some hard working friendly staff, but some strange hotel staff guidance!!

Went there 3 days to escape from my corona life in Tokyo. Picked the 3 days 3 types of room package so I can try out different rooms. ==== ROOMS ==== Room 1 - standard old design and no view. Totally don't recommend it. Pool side people are much louder Room 2 - deluxe Not bad, small pool with the room. Too small, can't really swim. But the public share pool is nicer and no one was there. Room 3 - Private Villa Finally a pretty nice one. Bigger size pool and bigger outside area to relax but bugs come in to the house. ==== AMENITIES ==== Nothing brand name. Glad that I brought my own. ==== HOTEL ==== Not stylish design, seems like it's an old hotel but changed owner. Pool is not bad. They don't have a private beach so when I went to the beach it was a bunch of loud kids came to play and I left. ==== SERVICE ==== Not bad, I think they are trying but I don't it's still not world resort standard. The pool, no one comes to serve you. You have to bring your own towels. Even I left, I don't see someone clean up. Also I think they need to have the staff to have better hygiene now especiall they wear masks all day and I can smell them even they wear the mask. ==== FOOD ==== BAD. The breakfast was bad, the french toast was microwave and too hot. The juice was not fresh squeezed. I tried 2 of their restaurants and also nothing special but expensive. Better go outside to eat regular food. ==== OVERALL ==== Not bad. And also not much choices in Miyako Island so I hope they will improve because i do want to visit again.

As a small business owner, I usually cut businesses a lot of slack but I have to speak up about an absolutely horrible stay at the Miyako Breeze Marine Bay Hotel (part of the Shigira Seven Miles Resort). We paid 1,400 USD for myself and my daughter for a three night stay. The room had cockroaches, a horrible poop smell came up from the bath trap and the beach at the resort was closed due to a “typhoon” the day before the typhoon arrived. All other beaches on the island were open so we rented a car and swam at five amazing beaches. The service at the hotel is horrible. I have lived in Japan for over twenty years and speak Japanese so language was not the problem. The worst experience was the last night I was eating with 20 friends and they said I could not get the course menu that night because “there was no more food”. I wanted to pay for the course but was told “no food”. I was last to join the dinner party so accepted to eat buffet. I was told four times by the assistant manger “not to share my buffet with anyone”. It was like I was five years old. Got the message -no sharing my buffet. However, When I sat with everyone else they served me the course appetizer as everyone else. I was confused, so before eating we checked that everyone else had their appetizer plate. Everyone else had their plates so I started eating the appetizer assuming maybe they found food. Half-way through the appetizer the waiter came up and took it away saying, “no you buffet”. I said ok, but let me finish so you don’t waste the food. He said “no throw away”. Absolutely crazy behavior. I served myself buffet all night (not a problem). Note: The course and buffet looked very similar. When coffee was being served out of a coffee carafe, I asked if I may have some since they were serving my party and again I was told “no you buffet”. It was being served out of a carafe, not being made one by one. The kicker was they had enough food for me to pay for the course meal in the end, and I was willing to pay the extra $20 :-). Horrible behavior from the staff. Worst Japan service I have experienced in 20 years!!! Please do not spend you money at the Shigira Seven Miles Resorts (which includes the hotel we stayed at).

Fantastic experience at this hotel. Amazing villa in a fantastic estate (Shared grounds by a number of Shigira hotels). The staff went out of there way to make our stay comfortable. They had daily activities for the kids, my daughters painted Shiisa and participated in Suika-wari. We chose the eco-cleaning option most days, and full cleaning on the middle day of our six day stay. Was totally satisfactory and fresh bath towels, beach towels and bottles of water were replenished each day. For those in other comments who complain, it’s simple, don’t choose the eco-clean! What we really loved about the shigira grounds was the number of choices available. 8 Shigira hotels, 32 restaurants and cafes available with a bus service that will pick you up and drop you off at anytime, just ask the staff and wait 5 mins. The little beach in front of Imgya Allamanda Coral was, though small, lovely with lots of colorful fish around. It was very safe with my younger daughter too. It was easy to jump in the pool directly straight after the beach too. Our favorite staff member “Moana” advised us to spend a day at Aragusku (新城) beach, and she wasn’t wrong!! Our favorite beach on Miyako Island. Extremely flat and safe water with hundreds of different fish swimming around (though I didn’t I recommend taking marine shoes). My eldest daughter and I swam around with a turtle for 10 mins. We paid 1000yen and rented chairs/umbrella for the day, was totally worth it to escape the heat. Not worth taking a tent/shade, just rent the one there, they’re well set up. Finally, and what I think really topped our stay, was having such a private villa on the far end looking out over the green forest. I recommend, if you can, requesting a room at the eastern side of the property (furtherest from the road), I think our experience may have been different if we were stuck between other villas with people walking past all the time. The villas have beautiful outdoor spa baths on the balcony, ours looked out over the forest and nobody could walk in front. Walking around the property though, I noticed that everyone who was not on the end always had their balcony curtain down for privacy. I don’t really want to complain because we’ve had such a great time, but if asked my complaint would be the villa sofa. It’s the most uncomfortable sofa I’ve sat on… sorry? We check out tomorrow. We’ve had such a great 6 days away here, thank you Allamanda Imgya Coral Village!! We’re coming back next year!

Had a really lovely stay here. One of the few mid range hotels right on the beach. 10 minutes walk from the ‘centre ‘. Excellent help from staff especially Myumi. Who’s energy and knowledge were invaluable. You must go next door to cafe sweets for chiffon cake. Take a trip to Irabu island and visit Nakano-shima Some of the best coral and varieties of fish we’ve ever seen, just off the beach ?

IRAPH SUI, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Miyako Okinawa is located on Irabu Island, which lies 300 kilometers southwest of Okinawa, Japan. Surrounding our hotel are primeval forests, the endless clear sea in varying shades of blue, and sandy, white beaches.
Great hotel to be away from city life. Travel from Osaka for only a night stay in Miyakojima, stayed in The luxury collection, Iraph Sui. With no schedule and expectation, the hotel has go above and beyond to make my stay flawless and comfortable. We were able to rent a car in the hotel on the spot, only take 10 mins to have the car ready in the front. Infinity swimming pool is the best and it has very nice cabana that look towards the ocean. Junior suite is the best, for those who look for a private pool, garden suite is best.
