Wife and I stayed here for our trip to Tokyo. Excellent location. Literally next door to a Family Mart and train station. In walking distance from light lab and many great restaurants. Room is sort of bare bones but you shouldn’t need much here.

The location of the hotel was between Shimbashi and Hamamatsucho, and it was a relatively calm area. The interior was excellent, and the room I stayed at this time was a king bed room with a view of Tokyo Tower, which was comfortable. The large communal bath was small compared to the hotels in the local region, and it was not very comfortable. The quality of the food at the breakfast buffet was high and I was satisfied, but I was a little disappointed from the morning because hotel staff seems to be too busy not to smile.

Why good will is not enough

In Corona times you would expect a hotel to be happy with long stay guests and go the extra mile. At this hotel they are completely separated from reality and forget that the guest brings the money for them to survive. A concierge who sends me to a convenience store for tickets or refuses a 2nd call to an event organiser can not be called a concierge no matter how many golden keys are on their collars. It becomes more grave when the cleaning staff lies about dropping my wife’s new hairdryer and desperate when they refuse my 900 USD dollar to temporary store my belongings ( quite a volume I admit) on the basis they have no space which is so sad it becomes funny. Friendly but nearly impossible to communicate if you do not speak Japanese. Friendly but not efficient with many untrained staff. Not recommendable for non Japanese speakers is the conclusion. Squandering revenue in these times should, with good management, be impossible and unforgiving by guests and owners.

The place to stay without breaking the bank in Tokyo

Reviewed By 711ayat

Everything was beyond perfect! I am staying here 11 nights for quarantine. The price was very reasonable, the single room is not that big but it is very efficiently organized and has everything I needed. And its style is very slick with white & purple. The glass window between the room and bathroom makes the room look bigger. And massage chair! Amenities are top notch! Love all they provided. The view from the window is magnificent with Tokyo tower! It has a very good sound proof wall (except for the police car siren). I forget that I am in middle of tokyo to sleep. The service is very polite and accommodating. I had to change the number of nights to stay after my reservation started due to government required quarantine. I was not able to change it through agoda (they agent I reserved this hotel with) but the hotel staff arranged it and I received the email and refund from agoda even after the reservation started! I have to work during my stay here and their Wi-Fi is very reliable and fast! Too many restaurants to get food from. This hotel is making my supposedly miserable quarantine life to its best experience in Tokyo! Highly recommended.

Great choice in Shinagawa

Reviewed By kenji4861

Maybe the best value hotel to stay in Shinagawa right in front of the JR station. You can tell it's a well maintained older hotel, but that also means relatively bigger space compared to newer business hotels. Internet was smooth. 50-60mbps and had no issues streaming and playing games. Really don't have much to complain about. Very well staffed. Everything was clean. Some wear and tear from the age (scratches on the table, torn wallpaper). Bed was super hard, but I was strangely able to sleep thanks to the silence. Downstairs has limited food. There seems to be a lot of western choices like TGIF which Japanese people like, but I don't as a person from the US. Shinagawa itself is not the best place to stay if you are exploring Tokyo it's more of a business district. However, it's a good place if you are just using it as a starting point to take trains everywhere. There isn't much in the area other than A LOT of people working (which is fun to see too) and an aquarium.

Great small hotel

Reviewed By Elisabeth D

This hotel is a great, quiet, clean, well looked after hotel only a few minutes uphill walk from Shinagawa station. You can get to and from Haneda airport via Shinagawa station. There is a 711 store in the hotel across the rd, McDonalds just down the road. Staff were very good, there is a lounge with coffee making facilities, laundry, drink and snack machines. The breakfast was good. No complaints whatsoever and would stay again.
