Reviewed By KumabooAmankila was the last stop of our week-long Bali trip. We were really excited as we have never stay in East Bali before, however, first impression was somewhat underwhelming. We got picked up at our previous accommodation at 2pm. Our phone batteries were running low because we went out since 5am and returned just before the pick up time. However, the arranged transfer was too minimalist. No phone charger, no wifi, just beverage. Upon arrival, there was also another issue with my reservation. At this time, we were really exhausted and dissapointed. The Amankila team was very apologetic and offered to make it up so we decided to just call it a day. The day after, everything started to get better. We loved the breakfast, the mexican egg and the hashbrown in particular. We relaxed by the pool during the day and went for sundowner at Batu Jati. The sundowner experience was amazing. It was private and peaceful, accompanied with delicious cocktail and canape. Dinner was also delicious. We ordered medium rare steak and pizza, both came out perfect. The next day we had sunrise breakfast at tamansari bale and the view was majestic. I’d say both the sundowner and tamansari breakfast were the game changer. Too bad we only stayed for 2 nights so we were not able to do the cruise. Thank you Amankila team for making sure our stay was enjoyable. Thank you Hubert for the delicious cocktail and good company, we really enjoyed talking to you. The transfer to the airport was also equipped with charger and wifi to our delight. Just my two cents, all cars should have the same standardized amenities with phone charger as the most basic one. The ride was long so it was a necessity. It would also be better if there’s a dedicated spa and wellness center or at the very least renovate the suite to have better ambiance.

A gem on East Bali
Reviewed By 681roygAlthough we were not expecting to be here (our first choice was not ready and we were informed 2 days before flying) we were pleasantly surprised. The team led by the food and beverage manager Arnaya were first class and often went out of there way to make sure we had a memorable time. We were lucky enough to have full board and spa treatments everyday. The spa team were also fantastic although we could not have some of the treatments available ( not sure why and prices were the same) the ones we did have were great. We were here for nine days in total and with hind sight is probably too long as the menu was very repetitive. Excellent food as it was the daily choices for lunch and dinner was Mahi Mahi, chicken, and vegetables. All done in a variety of ways. Beef and Tuna were on the menu but in the time we were here ‘not availble, although miraculously, tuna suddenly appeared on our last evening ??. Also one of the team managed to get us suckling pig for a lunch which was fabulous The cleanliness of rooms was faultless as indeed was all the grounds. Trips we went on included snorkelling and a special arranged trip to the volcano, Lakes and coffee plantations again faultless.

Peacefull stay on clear water beach
Reviewed By GunBaliStayed in Apartment room type, we were very happy for Kitchen facilities. This place is remote hence very peaceful. Water on the beach is crystal clear. THe only down side, our visit was on Rainy season and most of the time the sky was black with rain cloud.

Paradise for after dive lunches
Reviewed By ChetanHDRight opposite is the bustling beach with boats ready to take the divers to different locations. Also is the jetty nearby that plies visitors to Gilli islands. I had never seen so many scuba divers getting ready to leave for their exotic destinations before from one place. This is one of the restaurants and bars located around the beach. This place is really popular with divers. I have been here thrice already. exclusively after my dive sessions. I love the ambience. the food is great, the selection of vegetables, rice, noodles, spices is nice. Now after several months since i visited there, looking at the photos of food still make me hungry. It has convenient toilets and showers (open showers) in the garden surrounding the restaurant, where most of the divers come and take bath. It’s a feast to the eyes seeing so many people from different continents, all sitting in groups chit chatting, munching into different variety of food, drinks and discussing about what kind of sea creatures they saw, the exchange of underwater photos, experiences. Most of these has nothing to do with the restaurant itself, but being in that location, serving such nice food with friendly staff and wonderful experience just attracts all these extra perks one gets to enjoy!.. If you are a diver, the perks are more.. would love to come, stay and experience the breakfast, lunch and dinner too.

Fresh, new, clean home stay based in the beautiful fishing village of Padang Bai, Bali - the gateway to the Gilis. All rooms come with ceiling fan, power sockets, hot & cold water, free WIFI, free breakfast, and free book exchange. We have two private rooms with king size beds, en suite wet rooms, direct balcony access, and air conditioning... one private double fan room with shared wet room... and a dorm room sleeping up to 4 with shared wet room, lockable storage & fan. Please note, the view comes at a cost of 70 steps. We think it's worth it - but then, we do it every day. :) Our staff will be happy to help with your bags - just ask. Fast boat tickets, laundry service, cold drinks and snacks available.

Reviewed By K5309WAchrispIt is a nice bed and breakfast and absolutely worth it. The rooms are big and clean. We stood there for 2 nights. Breakfast was served in the morning. We could choose between several dishes. From our room we had a nice view about Padangbai.

But I have to mention the friendlyness of the owners and the amazing food! Thanx for organzing a surfboard rack for the scooter. Breakfast was totally enough for us. We didn't find a cheaper place in this area so we were very happy with our choice staying at Dwi Utama. Vielen Dank :)

Reviewed By sylvimutiaraIt is really hidden place. But the view is amazing. You can have beautifull sunset in here. The owner, Marion is very nice and friendly. And the food is amazing. Taste so good. Very value for money. Will be back for sure.
