Reviewed By ElinaS773Quite good location, we managed to park our car near the hotel. The room was big and clean. The bathroom was nice. The breakfast was perhaps the best thing in this hotel. I can really recommend this hotel.

Too warm for summer without air conditioning
Reviewed By BeeBeePopThe room size is good and rooms look modern but without air conditioning it gets very hot during the summer even with the fan turned on. There was even a distinctive stench of horse manure wafting into the rooms, presumably from the stables nearby. Water is not complimentary either and costs Eur1 a bottle. The breakfast spread is good and there are a lot of activities in the area.

Dicke Sympathiepunkte sammeln wir bei unseren Gästen nicht nur mit unserem vielseitigen Zimmerangebot und dem freundlichen und zuvorkommenden Service. Auch die einladende maritime Atmosphäre macht Eindruck – und 1A Laune.
Very disappointed
Reviewed By mgazit2016I am a long time customer of Harbr boardinghouse in Ludwigburg. This time I tried the hotel. Made a reservation of a standard room, and upon arrival a room for disabled people was allocated for me. Asked to change but was told the system says that’s what I booked. Showed my reservation confirmation to no avail. Then I was offered to leave the hotel without charge, as they were fully booked. Nice approach… I was far from being the last guest that arrived that day. The reception insisted I reserved this room and my word had no weight. At no point I was told they were sorry but that’s what they had - the staff has no knowledge of what service is about. They feel they are making a favour and act accordingly. I was not happy and showed it, so I got the other receptionist making faces to customers that were queuing. Very professional… The structure is nice and the barman Carlos is the only light in the darkness of the staff in this hotel. The manager and the front desk responsible were aware of my dissatisfaction but did nothing to contact me during my 2 days stay. When talking to the manager it was clear that it was a waste of time to explain a customer was there and not a line in the system. Someone told me the service desert is a problem in many places. I witnessed it. I like to say good things normally as I appreciate good service. But that’s the reality I found. I want to believe the allocation of the room has nothing to do with my provenance.

Reviewed By Randy SI had a wonderful experience at this hotel. It started with a reserved parking spot and a wonderful dinner recommendation at a nearby restaurant. Wonderful hotel with a super staff that are very friendly and professional.

Nice accomodation when you want to have space on your own
Reviewed By JR_CirpkaI stayed in this appartment hotel looking for the ability to retreat. In COVID-19 times the kitchinette is great and the apportement allowed to keep the whole family together. Except sundays the backery is just around the corner for fresh rolls and togehter with coffe brewn in your own coffee machine you'll enjoy.

Reviewed By John KDas nette, zentral gelegene Hotel ist sauber und sehr ruhig. Mein Zimmer (Nr. 5) ist klein aber zweckmäßig eingerichtet. Der Empfang an der Rezeption ist freundlich und professionell. Vom Hotel ist man schnell am Marktplatz, wo es einige nette Restaurants gibt. Der Preis für die Übernachtung ist auch okay.

Reviewed By Thomas MTraveling with a friend and my daughter's family, we were heading to the Bad Canstatt Volksfest. This hotel was within walking distance to S-Bahn station we took to the fest. Found at the last minute, this hotel was great. We also visited the Ludgwigsburg Palace and which were nearby. The staff was very nice, rooms clean and they had offered an excellent breakfast. Wished we had stayed longer and tried the Greek Restaurant as it looked inviting. On a busy corner, if you wish to have your window open, you might ask for a room on back side to avoid street noise.

Reviewed By Laura PHo trascorso 4 notti in questo hotel assieme alla mia famiglia, in occasione di una breve visita a Ludwigsburg e dintorni e ci siamo portati a casa un ottimo ricordo innanzitutto del calore umano, della gentilezza, disponibilità e capacità di entrare in empatia con gli ospiti dimostrata dal titolare dell'hotel. Pur essendo un imprenditore impegnato in molte attività, non mancava mai di dedicare con calma tempo e parole agli ospiti durante la colazione del mattino e di farli sentire a proprio agio. L'hotel è molto pulito, sia negli spazi comuni sia nella stanza (il nostro bagno era perfettamente lindo!) ; la colazione ricca e varia, con prodotti freschi e gustosi Spiegelei con Speck preparati al momento. Per gli ospiti italiani faccio presente che la colazione è tipicamente tedesca, con molte cose salate e pochissimi alimenti dolci, per cui non aspettatevi brioche e cappuccino, ma assaporate i gusti della tradizionale colazione locale! Non manca nulla. La strada principale su cui si affaccia l'hotel (Friedrichstrasse) è piuttosto trafficata durante la settimana (ma non nella fine settimana) ma i titolari sono super-disponibili a dare le stanze che danno sul retro (se libere). E' bello viaggiare e trovare in un hotel persone che hanno un tale spirito di accoglienza!

Functional but limited
Reviewed By John FThis is a spotlessly clean and well designed little hotel, about 20 mins drive from central Stuttgart - 45 mins from the airport. The breakfast is adequate, if a little repetitive. (I stayed three nights) My bedroom was very clean, well-maintained and comfortable, although it lacked shelving for clothes and, more importantly, a valuables safe. It would be an ideal hotel for anyone staying for, say, just 24 hours. However, its important to note that this is essentially a bed-and-breakfast not a full hotel. It serves no food at all - of any description - outside of breakfast hours. No snacks, no room service, no mini-bar. This is not clear from their website. There is a bar (very nicely designed) but it was closed all three nights of my stay. In addition, the reception area and main entrance are shut daily from 20.00h to 06.00am and access is via a door in the car park, which I found a little depressing. The staff were very helpful and friendly but a simple, snack menu outside of breakfast hours would gain the hotel an extra star from me!

NH Ludwigsburg has 130 elegantly decorated rooms. These are comfortable spaces with a soothing white palette with green accents. For guests’ comfort, each room is equipped with a sitting area, choice of pillows, a flat screen TV, and free Wi-Fi. Connecting rooms are available and are perfect for families or groups traveling together. Guests will enjoy many breakfast options each morning, including breads, pastries, cold cuts, cheeses, jams, yogurts, fruit, and much more besides. For lunch and dinner, we have a modern bar and bistro that serves simple meals, such as tapas, soups, and sandwiches, in warm surroundings decorated in dark wood with red accents. There is also an outdoor terrace where guests relax with a drink. For small meetings or gatherings, we have two meeting rooms for up to 20 people.
Unsafe and unprofessional
Reviewed By Connector1540027325If you want to feel unsafe and unwanted. This hotel does that to you. Disinterested, unprofessional hotel staff, rude to children. Was probably the weekend crew who thought smoking e-cigarettes, where it is not allowed, was more important than receiving guests. The hotel appears to have been renovated but there is already mold in the bathroom and there was dirt and tissues under the bed. NH hotels do well to have a firm conversation with the general manager as there seems to be an staff issue
