Mexico's fastest growing resort area offers miles of empty desert and deserted beaches. Laid-back nightlife and old-fashioned fun in the sun is the Cabos' lure. Only certain beaches are safe for swimming, however, including Lovers' Beach and the more tempestuous and aptly named Divorce Beach. Whale watching, hang-gliding, snorkeling, antiquing, golf and fishing, Loreto's historic mission, and sport fishing and dining in capital La Paz are other attractions. SuburBaja buses travel the coast.

Nestled between sapphire seas and dramatic desert landscapes, Grand Solmar at Rancho San Lucas is the new concept of hospitality in Los Cabos. With a very convenient location, just north of Cabo San Lucas down town; the resort offers privacy, security, tranquility and all touristic area access thru an efficient complementary transportation service that operates every day a week. Our valued guests enjoy a wide variety of water activities in our saltwater lagoon with sandy beaches, full family program activities, infinity pools, ocean front spa, beauty parlor, gym, Kids club and a complete list of amenities. Savor the flavor of Baja at our restaurants and bars with cuisine crafted from fresh, local ingredients. Relax in our spacious suites with an ocean view terrace and spa bathroom. We invite you to discover your own private paradise!!
After a week at Grand Solmar Rancho San Lucas, we changed our reservation elsewhere so that we could stay at second week at Rancho, and we are already planning our next trip back! After the first week of high activity (tours, trips on the shuttle into the bustle of Cabo San Lucas, resort activities, swimming), we changed our pace completely and had a week of relaxing and reading and watching the ocean waves. Rancho San Lucas gives you plenty of opportunity to set your own pace. It is a good fit for large families (we saw many multigenerational groups as well as young parents with small children). It is a great getaway for couples (honeymooners and those of us who celebrate decades together), as well as people traveling on their own. There was a wedding while we were there, held right on the beach. Rancho San Lucas is far from the loud late nightlife of town, but shuttles run back and forth from Lands End when you want time in CSL. Other reviews describe the facilities, the restaurants, the villas, the activities, and the friendliness and professionalism of the staff. To add a few other thoughts -- This seems to be a comfortable place for people with limited mobility: there are few stairways, many ramps, and (I believe) all buildings have readily available elevators. When making reservations, we were told, you should ask for accessible accommodations. Most staff are fluent in both English and Spanish. Signage and menus are available in English. While we were there (early May), most guests seemed to be from the U.S. or Canada. Because the resort is right on the ocean, the temperature is variable. It would be best to bring layers of clothing, to prepare for both cooling winds and for hot days. We had both -- but no rain while we were there. The check-in staff and concierge were able to handle a large range of questions - not limited merely to reservations (onsite or off). The layout of the buildings and pools gives you a sense of space -- you can choose to be quiet and peaceful, or you can choose to be "where the action is"! There is an optional meal plan that should be booked before arrival for the discounted rate -- this covers dining in almost all the resort restaurants, tasting classes, discounts on the spa and tours, etc. It is worthwhile looking into the details. Because we enjoy coffee and breakfast on our own, we pre-ordered groceries to be delivered for us, and then had lunch/dinner in one of the restaurants. Basic groceries, wine, and spirits are available in the onsite market. The landscaping strives to showcase desert and xeric plantings. Cactus blooms were just starting while we were there - The pickleball court is open now and seems to have a beautiful ocean view. (And the golf course, of course). In the mid/late spring, bring a kite to fly along the beach. The previous reviews do provide a lot more information - but to summarize "come and enjoy it!' We did, and we will again.

Hands down to Hector Raga Sagrero. He was taking care of us all, party of 10, by pool area. He was so attentive and knew our room numbers and our regular drinks. We had our regular spot by pool and he waited on us with so much care. In return, we tipped him well because he worked so hard in making sure we enjoyed our stay.

We have had the best time here at Nobu hotel all thanks to Alfredo our local ambassador. He has made sure everything was taken care of for us from the moment we checked in! Alfredo has gone above and beyond to make sure our reservations were confirmed, called restaurants, booked cabanas, answered all of our questions, made suggestions, booked our taxis and helped make sure we were all always taken care of!!! We are still here and cannot wait to come back!!! When you come to this hotel make sure to request to have him as your local ambassador!!! THANK YOU ALFREDO FOR NAKING THIS THE BEST WEEKEND EVER!
