Room 12 - huge room and lovely bathroom - able to darken fully for a great nights sleep. Worried to find it adjacent to the breakfast/dining room area but room was sufficiently soundproofed and it has the sort of guests that are respectful of others when coming in late! BONUS - the bar as a meeting place or last night cap venue is super! Matteus looked after us and was hugely knowledgeable about Belgian beers being friendly and professional. Breakfast is a delight (a little expensive) so go earlier rather than later to have the best of an extensive choice. This hotel is brilliant value for money and all the staff make 'good' look easy. We travelled as a group of friends and everyone would give this hotel a BIG thumbs up!

My partner and I stayed at this hotel last night, 3 June 2022. The staff were very friendly and obliging. There was ample free parking. The hotel itself was very clean and tidy. The beds were comfortable and large, plenty of space within the rooms, everything well thought out. The bathroom had a lovely large walk in shower. Although we stayed room only, there was an adjoining Starbucks, Burger King and a café to purchase breakfast. I shall certainly stop there again, well recommended.

Very poor customer service. Personnel not friendly. Overrated hotel. I would not recommend people to stay here. Look further for a hotel that makes people stay welcome and want them to have a good trip instead. I’ll book a different hotel next time.

Finding that unique location is challenging, but in the Begijnhof Hotel you enjoy the best of both worlds. Situated at the edge of the city of Leuven you are in the city centre as easily as in nature. In addition it's nice to know that we are situated in a recognised quiet area in the middle of UNESCO world heritage. Easy to say that the Begijnhof Hotel is all but average. The atmosphere exudes tradition, but with a modern feel. The hotel is very well situated and offers a car park with CCTV, but also a quiet green environment, with a view of the 13th Century Spanish Quarter. Be surprised by the unique location of the Begijnhof Hotel. A 15-minute drive from Brussels Airport and at the edge of the city centre of Leuven, the hotel is situated in the quietest and most picturesque part of town. It is one of the few little known urban quiet areas for a reason.
Excellent location (value for money), great breakfast, comfy rooms and very friendly helpfull staff. When visiting Leuven and surrounding this is the perfect place to start as everything is nearby. You can also rent e-bikes which is a great plus.

Start the day with our good for value breakfast buffet! Free Wifi in the entire hotel and lobby computer with free internet access for Ibis Buget hotel guests. Welcome to Ibis Budget Hotels!
Our bedroom was quite tired and rooms are very small. We stayed on a Saturday night so got woken up by noisy people coming back late from the bars, so not a great night's sleep. Beds are very hard too. Parked in the underground car park next to hotel, very expensive - we arrived at 6pm and left at about 12pm next day and it was 22 Euro! Breakfast was fine. Stayed in quite a few Ibis rooms and all in this ranks the lowest. On the upside had a great meal at Nachuil in town - really friendly staff and food was fabulous so could recommend that!

We were 6 adults staying at the Lodge for a weekend to visit Leuven. The rooms were above the reception area and check in was very straight forward. We enjoyed an excellent breakfast with lots of variety. The staff were also very helpful in the bar area in the evenings. The hotel is a 25/30 min walk from the Oude Markt which was ideal for us. I would certainly recommend this hotel to others.

Accommodation in the hostel is ok but the rooms themselves are very cramped. But the bad rating is mostly due to the rules of the hostel and the terible treatment of guests by the staff. The fact that you have to make your own bed is ridiculous, there was no hand soap in the room, you have to bring your own towel. The button in the shower is awful, like we're on a beach with a public shower. The food offered at the hostel is awful. For the lunch that is paid, you get soup and slices of ham and cheese. You can practically only eat a sandwich. And of course you can't bring your own food and drink, disaster. Entry in the evening has to be ultra silence, otherwise they will take a deposit in the amount of 500€, there is no talking in the hallways but the door of the room will slam shut because of stupid mechanism. And a rude refusal to give early entry into the rooms just to put our suitcase, and there are no staff behind the counter in the morning and evening. Wifi is bad. The only good thing is the great location of the hostel. Nothing more...

We honestly could not fault this place it was everything we needed on our stay. free parking on the drive. excellent choice of breakfast in a great clean cosy environment. great hosts with plenty of local information and a well-marked out map. lovely comfortable, clean, warm room lovely big garden which would be awesome to sit out in during the warmer months There's a bus stop literally right outside with a very short (walkable) journey into the town centre we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again at anytime as it is 100% better than staying in a chain hotel
