I stayed in the villas that are part of the Pueblo Ingles language program. My single room with twin beds in a shared villa with living area and kitchenette was not luxury standard, but comfy and quirky. I got locked in a few times when the door stuck and the hair dryer didn’t work unless one of the light switches was on. No safe, but the property seems secure. I loved the spacious grounds and the easy walk to the medieval village of La Alberca nearby. Highly recommended if you would like to slow down in a quiet corner of Spain. I didn’t try the spa because it was pricey and full of noisy kids. AC not working in the gym, so it was a steamy workout.

Booked this hotel on its own website offering half board - decided to book this as it was a Sunday night in March and could not guarantee what would be open in this fairly remote area. Cost 162 euros. Room was pleasant but not exceptional by Spanish standards. Receptionist told us Dinner would be in the restaurant. When we went to restaurant we gave our room number to waiter who checked us off on the hotels list. We were given a la carte menu, we had checked online and no other menu is listed on website or on QR link on front of menu. Our Spanish is poor as was the waiter's English. We tried to check if this was the only menu and he appeared to us to say it was. We ordered and had our meal. When we checked out we got a bill for 102 euros (we expected to pay for our wine and water 22 euros). We were told as we did not eat the dedicated menu, that we were never offered, we had to pay the full amount. We could not get any refund for the half board not taken, and I left wondering why no attempt is made to publicise the dedicated half board menu if such a thing exists. Certainly at the very best it is very poor customer service. My advice Avoid.

Hotel Antiguas Eras La Alberca is a familiar hotel, the best of us is the sun in the garden, the silent in the night, the coffe in the breakfast and the joy in the deal.We like people who travel, we like our job. That´s why, I think we are so good, that´s why we are so lucky.
We stayed here after changing our route around Spain and Portugal and wanted to meet up with some friends who had just arrived the day before in Spain. They have been to this area before and said we would love the town and we did. Because it was last minute and we needed somewhere with parking for our bike we ended up booking a room here. Parking is in front of the hotel and the bike was safe enough here. The lady on reception who checked us in was very friendly and helpful. Our room was on the first floor overlooking the front of the hotel. There wasn’t many people staying there that night and it was very quiet but we still managed to get drinks from the bar. The room was simple but clean and the bed was comfy and despite the heat we still got a good nights sleep. The bathroom was clean but there were a few cracks in the toilet which worried me lol The hotel is a few minute’s walk into town and what a stunning place it is. It was like stepping back into time. Here you will find plenty of shops, bars and restaurants. Across the road from the hotel is a swimming pool which you can use. Breakfast was simple but was good for the price and the coffee was very nice. Overall a good place to stop.

Hostal San Blas is located in a natural enclave, just 200 meters walk from the center of La Alberca and 15 minutes drive from the Natural Park of Las Batuecas offers a wonderful view of the Peña de Francia. It has a large parking area with easy access, free WiFi, in addition all rooms have heating, TV and full bathroom. The hostel has a bar and terrace.
Was good according to its price, basic as expected. The beds were individual and they did some noises as they seemed to be used a lot. If you want to sleep together I don't recommend it as you might fall in between the beds. Didn't have air conditioner so make sure to not go during the summer because you are going to get fryed.

This apartment was very welcome in the bad weather that we had for some of the two days that we were there. The internet connection was good and we surfed the internet and got on with emails at the large table. The kitchen was fair and we made ourselves two good meals. The apartment was warm and the washing that we did in the washing machine dried within 24 hours. Despite its location next to the main road, it can hardly be described as such, and we got a good night’s sleep as the bedrooms were at the back anyway. Drop off and pick up your luggage outside the apartment and park further up the hill, though people do seem to park outside. We would certianly stay there again

Small place just by the edge of the village by the bus stop, not that there are many buses so it is quiet. No aircon of course, clean basic room and bathroom. Comfortable enough for a night when passing through and the WiFi worked well.

I like this hotel. It may not be ultra modern but the staff are friendly, the room is a good size and the bathroom is large. The bed could be softer but that is a personal choice. Situated right opposite the old village of La Alberca it is so convenient to stroll around this enchanting village. Parking is free in front of the hotel. The restaurant was closed except for breakfast due to Covid so I cannot comment but there are plenty of restaurants opposite and two supermarkets nearby.
