A truly amazing hotel which whilst set in the heart of Perast is a little oasis of quiet and tranquillity from all of the hustle and bustle going on outside. A great base from which to venture out to all of the interesting sights that Perast has to offer. The quality of service is the superb. It is a very personalised service and you are made to feel very welcome and special. Nothing is too much trouble. Incredibly this level of service was evident in every member of the team that we met during our stay. If you are looking for a base to explore the surrounding area, enjoy Perast and what it has to offer or just looking for a Spa Break the Heritage Grand should be at the very top of your list to chose from because it is superb. Our room was excellent with a good sized bathroom and quiet. The breakfasts on the terrace was top class. Finally we would like to thank Eva for making our stay so memorable We will be back and we would strongly recommend to every one to experience at stay at the Heritage Grand.

By careful restoration and design we have managed to offer the feeling of Kotor as it once was. HUMA Kotor Bay Hotel & Villas in Montenegro is a 5* property that consists of 89 rooms, 10 waterfront villas, breathtaking beach and a Spa center. The Hotel is located in Dobrota, within Kotor Bay, a place which blends stunning landscape, the cultural heritage of Kotor, unique Venetian architectural style, and sub Mediterranean climate into a beautiful surrounding. The contrasts of this place are heightened in the cultural and historical heritage, combined with its beautiful nature. A 15-minute walk will take you to Kotor Old Town, where you will find historic Roman and Gothic buildings, old city walls, churches and local shops - all in the embrace of the spectacular Kotor Bay. Narrow streets and squares, many valuable monuments of medieval architecture were among the reasons why UNESCO put Kotor on the list of the world natural and cultural heritage.
We stayed at this beautiful hotel as a family of 6 and we stayed in one of the villas. The villa was spacious and beautiful and view to the beach was lovely. We had a few issues with service and this is an obvious area for improvement. We gave our feedback to the management and were compensated for the issues which we appreciated. I hope they improve their service for the next visit!

Set by the sea and right on the main square in Perast, hotel Conte is situated in the former Home of Culture and is a protected heritage building. The Hotel features 34 elegantly decorated rooms and apartments located in the central and three annex buildings. Some apartments have private courtyards, separate entrances, outdoor Jacuzzi, and a swimming pool. The Hotel Restaurant is located on the waterfront, on the main town square and is specialized in fine traditional cuisine prepared with local ingredients. The Old Town of Perast and the authentic Hotel Conte are very popular for romantic weddings and business events. Enjoy the combination of magical natural beauty, preserved cultural heritage and unique gastronomic experience of the Hotel Restaurant.
We stayed in a beautiful building, in an apartment containing two double bedrooms, one of which opened onto a stone balcony with a breathtaking view of Kotor Bay. The other bedroom opened onto a small garden with olive tree and garden furniture. We were left complimentary homemade Perast cakes and bottled water on arrival. The apartment was spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated. On arrival we were driven the short distance from the hotel to our 'home' for three nights in an electric buggy. Thankfully the young, fit driver carried our cases to the door. Normally we would carry our own but there were 86 stone steps to the front door. Necessary to know if you have mobility issues. Worth it for the view. All staff were highly professional. One who stood out as particularly professional with a great sense of humour was Sasha in the restaurant, a credit to the hotel. The food was gorgeous as stated in previous reviews and to eat in the Harbourside restaurant in the evening watching the sunset was memorable. Thank you.

The luxuriously decorated 5-star small hotel Forza Mare is located in Dobrota, at a private beach, on the shore of the Bay of Kotor 3 km from the city center. It offers interestingly decorated rooms, which have different themes and varying interior: Africa, India, Dubai, Japan and China. You can completely unwind and enjoy the warm and friendly ambient of the property. A wellness and spa center is at the guests' disposal, as well as an outdoor swimming pool. The superb, modern a la carte restaurant serves national, Mediterranean and international cuisine. Only fresh, local products are used to prepare the meals. Kotor's old town is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. There are numerous cultural events being held in the summertime.
Reasonably nice (but not luxury) hotel with a decent location, but very much let down by the management. We booked a room for a two night stay, the hotel subsequently notified us that we would need to re-book as there was some kind of error however all the details would entirely unchanged, we just need to click a link to re-confirm the booking. We spoke to staff on the phone as well and they re-assured us that everything would be the same so we (naively) re-confirmed. Upon arrival at the hotel, it became clear that when the hotel wanted us re-confirm our booking, they had quietly increased the price by EUR 200, a price increase of c. 33% with absolutely no justification provided. When we raised this with staff, they became aggressive and started speaking to us in a patronising tone explaining that it was our problem as we didn't check properly, not acknowledging that they had in fact explicitly convinced us over email and phone that nothing at all had changed about the booking. The customer service was absolutely abysmal and not at all what you would expect when staying at a hotel in this price range. Putting aside the booking/price drama, this would be a 3* hotel at best in any case. When we arrived, no one offered to help us with our bags despite there being a large flight of stairs down from the road to the hotel entrance. Hotel room was reasonably spacious and clean, however decor was slightly dated and shower temperature control could do with some work. Nice views of the bay from the balcony. Given the size of the hotel, a large number of the rooms have doors opening into the reception itself so it is quite noisy, especially for light sleepers. Breakfast relatively basic with limited choice, average quality food and no fresh juices, overall ok but definitely far below what you would expect for a supposedly luxury hotel. The "spa" was largely non-functioning, with the hot tub not being turned on due to Covid-19 (although the outdoor hot tub is apparently fine to use, not very consistent) and no lights in the steam room so it is pitch black. Reception is not manned 24/7, not a major problem but worth being aware. Sun-beds on beach non-adjustable so you are forced to lie basically horizontal the whole time. Hotel allows children - again, not necessarily an issue but definitely pays to be aware as it was very noisy throughout the day and less of a relaxing get-away for couples as it appeared online. Regarding staff, I would like to clarify that there was a woman at reception (unfortunately we didn't catch her name) who was always very friendly and helpful, so thank you to her! Be careful when booking this hotel and make sure to double check your booking terms, especially if they ask you to re-confirm!

Exclusive four star boutique hotel Hippocampus offers 7 luxurious accommodations with original design. Located in the old city center of Kotor, this intimate boutique hotel offers comfortable and private living. The center of: Elegance. Pleasure. Sophistication. Attention.
Very friendly and helpful staff...personable and great even to have a chat with them. Room was clean and had a nice charm to it, with the hotel located inside the Old Town. Have a terrace ontop but unfortunately was closed when we were there. Good AC in the room and definitely nice to come back to a cool room after a hot day touring Kotor. Breakfast included was very good and more than enough to get your day started. They made a great cup of cappuccino. Hotel was about a 10 minute walk from the bus station and taxis standing by at the north gate, which was a 2-3 minute walk. The staff, Ranko, Diana, Fedja and Bojan were extremely helpful and friendly...no task was too much to ask. Highly recommend this hotel if you want to be in the Old Town and experience warm hospitality. We had a great time there.

We stayed in the Historic Boutique Hotel Cattaro for three nights in May 2022. We had been booking this hotel since prior to the COVID pandemic, having to book and rebook several times. Throughout that period the hotel manager Janko Rackovic kept in touch via email and was exceptionally helpful with our travel arrangements. On the day of arrival Janko personally came to Dubrovnik airport to collect us as the normal driver was engaged elsewhere. On arrival at the hotel the staff were exceptionally helpful, our luggage was transferred to our room, and we were given a warm welcome. The hotel is old, full of history, quaint and absolutely charming. We can honestly say we have never stayed in a hotel where we have received such individual attention. Every single member of staff had excellent customer service skills and went out of their way to ensure we had a pleasant stay. We stayed in room 202 that had a balcony overlooking the main square, the hub of the old town. The day we arrived was Montenegro Independence Day, so the town was buzzing with locals and tourists alike with a concert being held in the evening, for which we had a ring side seat from our balcony. By first light the stage had been dismantled, area cleaned and no remnants of the previous nights’ festivities. There is a clock tower which chimes on the hour, every hour (twice) in the square but this only adds to the experience and magic of the city. We stayed bed and breakfast, and this was served either in the balcony of the hotel or the Royal dining room. The food was sumptuous, fresh and if required cooked to order. There was also an excellent choice of continental pastries and fruit. We also dined at the hotel on the square and on the city walls, both being excellent. Janko also arranged transport from the hotel to our next hotel in Herceg Novi. A thoroughly enjoyable stay, enhanced by Janko and his exceptional team and would highly recommend the Historic Boutique Hotel Cattaro if visiting Kotor.
