Stayed at Elephant Walk Retreat in March 22 and we were wowed from the moment we arrived. Fantastic location right at the entrance to Kruger, you can´t get any closer! Amazing views of the river where we were lucky enough to have 2 visiting elephants just as we arrived. There is a beautiful swimming pool for you to relax in after a long day in Kruger or even spend the day beside if you fancy having a relaxing day out of the park. Great self catering facilities just a short drive from town where you can stock up on supplies or eat in one of the local restaurants. If you want good priced accommodation with excellent facilities very close to Kruger this should be your no1 choice! Thank you for a great stay and hope to come back again soon!

Ngwenya Lodge is situated on the southern tip of the world-renowned Kruger National Park. This means that visitors don’t even have to leave the resort to see a huge variety of game species – including the famous Big Five. The river view chalets overlook a scenic floodplain, which allows for magnificent views of the area where the big cats often hunt. Our Dam and Bush view chalets are set back on the property and also have beautiful views, as they overlook tranquil dams or bush areas. Game viewing hides make game viewing on the riverfront accessible to all – so no one misses out on spotting any of their favorite wild animals. Holiday in the luxury you’re used to… The units have fully equipped kitchens with a stove, fridge, freezer and a microwave. Each unit has a television and an undercover veranda with patio table, chairs and a braai, for unforgettable get-togethers with family and friends. Ngwenya’s on-site facilities include a pub, a beauty salon with a wide range of treatments, a curio shop, a small convenience shop, 6 outdoor swimming pools, 18 hole Mini Golf course, 2 tennis courts, trampolines, jungle gyms, a games room with pool tables, table tennis, Playstations with Xbox Kinnect, a kiddies room with various board games, puzzles, and kids movies. We can’t wait for you to visit us.
Excellent experience once again for the umpteenth time but first in own unit. Game viewed from river frontage unit not as plentiful as previous years but still rewarding. Will return again in 2023 for another stay..

A small, traditional lodge, 8 km from the Crocodile Bridge Gate into the Kruger Park, 65 km from the Swaziland border and 5 km from the Mozambique border. We have 8 rooms, for 1/2/3 people and a couple of larger family rooms for 4 sharing. All rooms have FREE WiFi, TVs, air con, bar fridge & en suite bathrooms. They are mainly set under thatch, around a pool in tropical gardens. Our rooms are not large but are packed with personality! Breakfast & dinner are available in our small licensed bar & restaurant from a lovely, varied menu of traditional South African & international cuisine. (Please reserve a table in advance). We do NOT have self catering facilities. Komatipoort is a small, quiet, safe town with a couple of restaurants & small shopping centres. We have domestic pets on site - 2 dogs & cats...They are friendly & not at all dangerous! Let us arrange game drives, bushwalks, horse back safaris, golf, fishing &more for you, but please reserve well in advance to avoid disappointment. We can also offer excellent advice for those preferring to self drive.
This lodge is perfect if you want to go to Kruger Park. Crocodile river gate and its great game viewing spots are very close. Compared to the camps inside the park this is pure luxury. Pool, air-conditioned rooms, great beds, a small bar and the hosts Sue and Martyn. It was a real pleasure being their guests, they helped with everything we wanted and gave hints on where to go in the park. Breakfast and dinner were very good also. Summary: You want to be at Trees Too rather than a Kruger camp.

Relax in perfect harmony with nature at Acasia Guest Lodge, offering 15 en-suite double rooms and 1 X 3 bedroom self catering apartment. Only 8 km from Crocodile Bridge Gate into the Kruger Park, South Africa, 4 km to Lebombo border post entrance Mozambique and 64 km to Mananga border post entrance to Swaziland.
A group of colleagues and I recently stayed at Acasia for three nights, as we always try to do when on business in Komatipoort. As always, Anne-marie's hospitality and her wonderful staff made us feel very welcome and at home. She organised an amazing braai (barbecue) for us and our guests (33 of us!). Given the pandemic, it was the first time in two years that'd we'd had an opportunity to gather - so memorable.

Komati River Chalets is nestled on the confluence of the Komati and Crocodile Rivers in the Southern Kruger Park region of Mpumalanga’s wild frontier. Situated on 12 acres of Komati river front wilderness ensures that this is one of the regions premier country estates. The famous Kruger National Park, Crocodile bridge gate is a mere 12km from the lodge and the sweet veld grasses of the South Eastern Kruger National Park ensure that this is arguably the best game viewing area of the entire park as vast herds of plains game and predators alike are attracted to the spoils of this pristine area. Both Mozambique and Swaziland are but a stone throw from Komati River Chalets providing the perfect base from which to explore both exotic destinations. Set above the flood plain of the Komati River, the restaurant, bar and pool facilities, and the individual chalets are no more than fifty meters from the water’s edge where pods of hippos and an array of spectacular bird life will entertain for hours on end. The attention to detail and hands on management style of this family owned property ensure that Komati River Chalets is the ideal destination for the adventurous traveller.
Great stay, well maintained rooms and grounds, load shedding by Eskom no problem due to very efficient generator, close to the wonderful golf course which suits me. Problem is trucks going to border post that block the entrance to the access road to the chalets in the evening. Police had to assist us getting through.

Orchards Farm cottages are situated in a litchi and mango orchard on the banks of the picturesque Komati River just off the N4 en route to the Mozambique Lebombo border post. The town of Komatipoort and the Lebombo border post are only a 5 minute drive away, and a 15 minute drive to the Crocodile Bridge gate of the Kruger National Park. Air-conditioning, Free wi-fi in cottages, satellite TV. Self-catering cottages with breakfast optional extra. The Mananga borderpost to Swaziland is 60 km to the South for easy access to the St. Lucia area and KwaZulu Natal.
The Orchards Farm Cottages need some serious upgrading and maintenance. There is such a good opportunity to make the place better. Not suitable for a group of friends/family - no communal space that can be used to gather. The space offered to have a gathering is attached to the main house. Linda and her family are very good hosts and try to make everything as comfortable as possible.

This upmarket hotel is situated in the small town of Komatipoort which lies on the Western slopes of the Lebombo Mountains at the doorstep of the largest National Park in the world, the Kruger National Park. This owner managed Boutique Hotel & Spa is nestled in a beautiful garden and offers 19 beautifully decorated en-suite rooms, each with its own patio or balcony. This was our second visit, using the hotel as a base for visiting the Kruger Park - the Crocodile Bridge gate is about 10 minutes away. The rooms are spacious and very well laid out, and the staff are welcoming and efficient. The restaurant is excellent, a great range of food all well presented and cooked superbly - compliments to John the chef, top job! The billing includes breakfast, and the staff went out of their way to provide us with packed breakfasts and lunches for our early morning trips to Kruger. Highly recommended, exceptional value for money
