We have a nice Hotel lying on the vinyards. Quiet area around and a good kitchen with regional Meetings in the season. The Hotel is rent by the owners so we have a friendly and family atmosphare.
Room very dated. not allowed in the communal areas before 730.
Reviewed By angusmayThis really isn't a four star hotel. The room had not been refurbished for 30 years and the guests are locked into the room corridor until 730am. The are no toiletries in the shower room. The food and breakfast was very good. Reception were unable to resolve overcharging me for my main course without wasting 15 minutes, trying to phone the waiter from the previous evening speaking to the chef and eventually finding the waiters ordering pad which confirmed they had overcharged me. All very Faulty towers.

Reviewed By davyb592We can definitely recommend this hotel: very modern (maybo a little too modern if you're not familiar with domotics... ;)) and large rooms, friendly staff, excellent food (the first hotel where the fruit at the breakfast buffet is just perfectly ripe), a calming sauna and relax area, including swimming pool with all jet facilities.... well done, Fährhaus!

Great location
Reviewed By Fiona AThe location is great. Cross the street one way and you are in the old town, cross it the other and you are in the museum and lots of great shopping. Some innovative ways of helping look after the environment, for every day you don't require your room to be cleaned you get a voucher for the bar. My room looked over the terrace, which could get noisy - not unpleasant noises, just music and people chatting, but distracting when you want to sleep. I would stay here again.

Reviewed By 637sfFriendly staff. Nice rooms Location is close to the river Rhine. Absolutly nice view. Restaurant was closed during my visit. But I could order at the bar something to eat. I would recommend to add some dishes more than one that was available.

Reviewed By Joy DThis was a lovely hotel. I felt very confident is that they had taken every precaution in this scary COVID-19 time. The hotel was quite conveniently placed to see the city. The room had chandeliers that made us think we were in a palace, but the bathroom didn't feel like it was stuck in time. it was modern and clean.

What an arrogant, incompetent dump
Reviewed By ClemRobynsWhat a dump. I arrived in time, the reception was open, they refused to check me in. I had to come back two hours later. I came back, the reception was closed, I had to check in on a computer in a smoking hot tiny space in between two doors. I had to give all the details of my life they already had through my booking, which was fully payed beforehand by the way. I did not get a room number or an entry code in the mail then. I got an invoice. I had to call an "emergency number". The first thing they did there was hang up on me. I called AGAIN, they couldn't give of a room number, I had to wait AGAIN. When I finally got into my room, there were hairs in the basin and shower. Never ever again.

An Ideal Oasis in the City.

I found the hotel to exceed expectations with a lovely dining room for breakfast And an even lovelier garden terrace where I spent a couple of hours relaxing with a good book andA drink. Staff were friendly, attentive and helpful as well as being efficient. My room was spacious and well appointed and the location was within reasonable walking distance of the train station Deutsches Eck and both shopping and nice restaurants. All in all, Despite having stayed at and reviewed over 200 hotels, I could not have asked for more for the price.

Standard hotel, excellent location
Reviewed By 355stefangThe hotel is rather average. Standard European style rooms. No AC, but a fan was provided, which helped in the summer heat. I can't comment on breakfast as I generally refuse to pay for breakfast at hotels (I prefer to go to a local bakery). My room, located in the rear of the hotel, was quiet. Staff very courteous and helpful. Did everything with a smile. Very limited on-site parking, about 10 or 12 spots. Lot was full when I arrived but there is a 24-hour garage a short ~200 meters away (wasn't overly expensive). Location is excellent and was the reason I chose to stay here. Recommended for a short one or two night stay.
