Great location, really pleasant and clean rooms, but the thing that makes this such a good place to stay are the staff. All of the people are incredibly helpful and generous with their time and advice. We travelled with female only group. This was one of the nicest places we stayed in our Manali Tour. Thanks for making our amazing experience in Kasol

The staff are helpful and polite, there's a fireplace behind the camps where you can get warmth & good music. Then there's Jimmy, the camp dog who accompanies you to walks in the adjacent forest.

Not at all impressed!!! It was my birthday eve and we decided to spend in kasol so we booked Asaka lodge…saw its reviews and thought it to be satisfactory.... To start with 1. We were given a no of Mr. Negi who was managing the property. We had to check in on 28th and 29th was my birthday. We asked him to arrange as cake for which will pay extra at 6pm in the evening as we were in transit. To my surprise he out rightly said he can’t arrange anything. When we went there, we tipped one of his staff and he got us a cake within 30mins. 2. They charged us hefty amount of 9000/- per night per room. And in this amount what we get is a freezing cold room, which had an old style heater which had no effect. Only savour was heated bed. That too was missing on extra bed. Room had very basic amenities. No electric kettle or tea/ coffee station, no WiFi. In such amount no breakfast. Each hot chocolate costed us 200/- which from all standards was too expensive 3. The staff used to sleep by 9.30pm and there is no one to assist you in case u need water also at night. The electricity was continuously going without anyone bothering to put the line on backup. So you’ll be left I n cold dark night with no one picking the phone or responding. 4. Icing on the cake was when on 30th I was about to check out I gave them my 2 thermos bottles to fill with worm water for my kids. The guy took it and went to the kitchen. I also went out to have a little strole before leaving. When I came back and asked for the bottles they denied that I have given them also. On insisting that I have given it they questioned me that to whom I have given. They were 4 guys all wearing cap and mask how the hell will I remember the face. On asking again Negi came out and started shouting on me that this can’t happen in his property and I am unnecessary making th fuss. He was not at all hospitable to help us find where the bottles went. When we asked for cctv footage he said it’s frozen coz of cold. At the last his boys blamed on other family who was checking out. On asking to call and check with the other family they said their now are off. Is it serious, are we living in real world. After having such horriable experience I would suggest all to stay at any other property but this one. It’s not always who is right or wrong but we need humble behaviour in service industry. I have never written a bad review about any place/people but this place forced me to do so. Kindly read the review and take the call on your own.

We visited Kasol with family in May 22 and spent one night in the Swiss Cottage camp at Parvati Kuteer. It was a peaceful and memorable experience. We would specially like to mention the hospitality extended by the manager Mr. Tuhin. Enjoyed the bonfire in the musical background. This place is unique for its natural surroundings and we recommend it for short stays in Kasol.

This was fourth visit to Kasol. I always used to be confusing when choosing a place to stay as I make it as my base and wander around nearby places. I found perkup hostel to be at a very strategic location as it is about 2 kms from Kasol and you have to come through a beautiful trail by the river. I really loved it. There is always something happening in Perkup hostel that you come for a day and end up staying for at least a week. Best place if you want to enjoy it as a solo traveller or with friends.

Situated in the ‘mini Israel of India’, goSTOPS Kasol has its own soul, feel, touch and sound that resemble the overall vibe of the valley. Sitting quietly in a tiny village of the Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh, goSTOPS Kasol is 29 km away from the famous tourist destination, Manali while Tosh lies at a distance of just 12 km. Kasol draws tourists from all over the map and goSTOPS is their one-stop destination to stay as it is well-suited for solo as well as group excursions. goSTOPS Kasol is a picturesque getaway ideal for a vacation in the lap of nature. Kasol exhibits spectacular images of nature’s artistry as its dreamy ambience, pleasant weather and gurgling Parvati river enthrall the visitors. Visit Manikaran Sahib to witness the natural hot springs, take a long walk to Malana or just spend some lazy afternoons at the open space on the banks of river Parvati to witness the true essence of tranquility. If you are an adventure buff, then Kasol is a paradise with plenty of easy and challenging terrains waiting for you. It is an important base for trekking towards SarPass, Yanker Pass, Pin Parbati Pass and Khirganga.
Hostel is close to the kasol market which is great. However, I would not prefer staying in mixed dorms at hosteller because the washrooms are outside the rooms and not easily reachable either, they are a little far from the room and not very clean either

The Hosteller Kasol, Kasol’s first hostel, is the perfect stay option for a backpacker or a traveller looking to relax, rejuvenate and reconnect. We believe in giving the best hospitality service by providing quality accommodation, great vibes and utmost focus on cleanliness, hygiene, safety and security of all our travellers. Located just 5 min away from the city centre towards Old Kasol and within a walking distance, we are in close proximity to the Kasol main temple, waterfall and right on the foothills of the mountains. Our neighbourhood is friendly, green and quite peaceful. The Hosteller offers clean and comfortable beds, attached WCs, free WiFi, common spaces, friendly front desk and concierge service, in-house dining and many more services. There is so much to do at the hostel like jungle walks, river trails, karaoke nights, beer-pong, etc. happening every evening. You’ll keep coming back for more! Whether you are here for a day or two or more, The Hosteller makes sure YOU don’t miss anything. Our best picks from all the to-do list in Kasol are: explore the villages, Manikaran & Chalal day tours, trekking (Kheerganga, Tosh, Malana), satisfy your taste buds with yummy Israeli cuisine etc.
We booked a private room at The Hosteller Kasol for Rs 3500/ night and the experience was very mediocre. The approach road to the property is a nightmare and it takes a lot of convincing to the taxi driver to drop you to the property's door step. Even when you get to the property, there are several steep steps to get to the hostel's entrance - this makes it especially dangerous for people returning back at night after drinking and smoking...which is the norm in Kasol. The private room was very small and felt cramped and claustrophobic. The black duvet cover and black towels they provide doesn't give you a sense of freshness and constantly makes you doubt the cleanliness. We did the Kheerganga trek organised by them and it was a poor experience. First we were informed that minimum 4 people need to sign up for them to organize the trip which will include a guide, tent accommodation and 2 meals, which is perfectly fine ...but in our case it was 16 of us with very different physical capacities and still only 1 and that too extremely incompetent guide (name: Gulshan Wawa) was assigned for such a big group. It is common practice to make 1 guide at the front and 1 at the end of a large group. Keeping this in mind, I and some of my fellow trekkers demanded a second guide. It took us a good 30-45 minutes on call to convince The Hosteller staff & the third party surrogate(the guide &camp provider) that we really needed a guide; who by the way we found at the starting point of the trek itself. We had to go off the first option as The Hosteller was not ready to pay him the same fees(Rs.2000/-) as the original guide(Gulshan Wawa). Somehow we managed to find a guide who was willing to go at a lesser price of Rs.1500/-And our second guide was much more responsible & professional, for sure. However, our guide Gulshan Wawa was extremely negative about my friend's ability to finish the trek just because of her weight and was indirectly discouraging her, was smoking up on the job and and himself kept falling and tripping on the trek. He charged someone to carry their backpack and then would forget the bags on his several breaks on the way up The food at the hostel was mediocre to poor and not cheap at all. There are better and cheaper homestays and local hotels in walking distance from The Hosteller. I see no reason to stay here again. Thanks for reading!
