See a buffalo up close, live like a cowboy for a day on a working cattle ranch or visit a stagecoach stop on the Sante Fe Trail are just a few of the many vacation experiences possible in this state in America’s heartland. You’ll love the wide-open spaces and the opportunities to engage in a variety of one-of-a-kind experiences in this marvelous state, which has the largest segment of true tallgrass prairie remaining in the U.S. Regardless of where you visit: a major metropolitan area like Kansas City, a college town like Manhattan or Lawrence or engaging places like Wichita, Dodge City and Salina, there are a wide array of attractions and sights nearby. If you want to familiarize yourself with cowboy culture, visit the Boot Hills Museum in Dodge City, dine on all-you-can-eat barbeque and hear songs of the American Cowboy at Diamond W Chuckwagon Supper in Wichita or explore the Dickinson County Heritage Center in Abilene, which has dance halls, gaming rooms and 32 saloons.
For outdoor enthusiasts who enjoy hiking, biking, fishing, bird watching and other activities, three of the state’s most popular parks are: Cheney State Park near Wichita; Scott State Park near Scott City and Tuttle Creek State Park near Manhattan.

Other than the issue with not having any ice machines working, which I figure was due to the water issue for the city of Wichita and surrounding areas, this hotel was wonderful. The river fest noise shut down at 10pm, so I was able to get to sleep fairly quickly and the bed was probably on of the most comfortable beds I have slept in. The breakfast area was spacious with a wide variety of chooses. Didn't feel crowded in any area of the hotel and the convenience of the enclosed skywalk to get to the covered parking was an added bonus. I don't stay in Wichita much, but the next time I do, this hotel will be on my list.

This hotel is very well managed with very friendly staff. The room was clean, with a comfortable bed and all the conveniences of a comfortable hotel room. The dinner and beverages made figuring out where to eat easy.

I travel 100% for work so I care about certain things Internet comfort bed and pillows tv size and maid service. They advertise when i walk in the room “Ultra high speed internet” you are lucky to get 4 to 5 megabits. The bed was comfortable the pillows are ok. The maid service I request everyday and i needed to remind them every day so that was disappointing when i walk in from working and nothing was touched.

I was really happy with my stay except the shower curtain was not good at keeping water from flooding the floor. The sink faucet spout was too short. I couldn't fit my hand under it without touching the side of the sink. Sink counter is too high. Bathroom needs ventilation. Gets too fogged up after a shower and odor has no where to go. Breakfast ends too early. Some of us work late and don't eat breakfast until 10am.

Our hotel is just a few blocks from the Stiefel Theatre, Salina Regional Health Center, Tony's Event Center, Salina Fieldhouse, The Alley and Smoky Hill Museum. YaYas Euro Bistro and Starbucks are on site. There are numerous restaurants and shops within three blocks. Our spacious suites are ideal for extended stays, and we offer complimentary hot breakfast, free WiFi, and evening socials on Wednesdays.
Nice people, clean, pleasant room EXCEPT--there is no shower door and no "threshold "for the shower. It is impossible to use the shower w/out water going all over the floor of the bathroom. On the tile, this is extremely dangerous. Since there is only 1 more towel than guests, you can't really mop it up and besides, you shouldn't have to. Guess some suit that never stays in his own company's hotels thought this up. When gramma slips going to the pot in the dark, they will get sued for big bucks. Also in the negative column, there's no desk and no outlet for the computer to plug into in the room we had-a king suite of some type. High dollars for an average level room. The hot breakfast was tasty and they have real silverware and plates- so that's a positive. I'm trying to be fair, but the shower situation really is dangerous and scary. one last thought, -- we reserved WEEKS in advance and we did not get the room we requested

Despite the ridiculously high winds and a tornado warning is going off we managed to have a relatively quiet stay -actually we were very surprised how quiet it was because the hotel was rather crowded – the staff was very nice and our room was very clean and breakfast was good- great stop over

Easy to find off I-35, we're 23 miles from Union Station in the heart of Kansas City. We regularly appear on the CNN/Money magazine list as one of the "100 Best Cities to Live". With neighboring Overland Park, this is a fast-growing area with a real sense of community. If you're here on vacation, how about a horse-driven stagecoach ride? Whatever your reason, we're glad you're here and hope you'll make this your comfortable and convenient base. Pets are welcome, too and there is a $20 fee per pet. Kansas City is 22 miles north. Here you might want to start your sightseeing in "The City of Fountains" with the American Jazz Museum, Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, or National World War I Museum. Across the street from the latter, have a look at restored Union Station with its 95-foot ceiling and 3,500-pound chandeliers. It's a vibrant destination with changing exhibitions. Alternatively, scout out your favorites among the plentiful water features around town. Some visitors come here for the 200+ fountains alone with graceful statuary and synchronized music. Don't miss Country Club Plaza, an upscale shopping district four miles south of downtown, with Spanish-influenced design. Just one mile farther, and you're in Kansas.
This hotel exceeded my expectations! Furnishings were attractive, bed was comfortable and the room was spotless. The hallway was quiet the entire I was there. The staff was very pleasant at check in and check out. I will stay here again when passing through the Kansas City area.
