Our Hotel is based on tradition and innovation. The Hotel offers you comfortable Rooms all with balconies and beautiful views of the surroundings, some with fire-place and some with whirlpools. Apartments in chalet style, for small and big families can be hired. Couples will enjoy our Loverooms some with rolling whirlpools to the balcony. Of course we have a Wellness area with swimming pool, sauna and massage. If you are travelling by train, we will be pleased to pick you up at the station. Guests travelling by car can use our free parking lots. We hope to meet you soon.

Nice hotel in a great location
Reviewed By Rüdiger WThe hotel is in an older building, but the rooms are spotlessly clean. We stayed there for one night. The à la carte restaurant is very cosy and has tasty local food. Breakfast was good quality. The hotel is in a great location, you can see the mountains all around you. It is also a good starting point for a hike to Oeschinensee (4 kms, but the only way is up...). Also, Blausee is a 10 min drive away and certainly worth seeing. The hotel grants you a visitor's pass which entitles you to a 50% reduction at Blausee.

Reviewed By CandHRStaff not nice, room really not what one can expect in a 4 star hotel Relais Chateau, we tried the restaurant in the chalet and were really disappointed by the quality of the food. Staff makes no effort to speak any other language than german and never smile. We do not intend to return there.

The reception was helpful about where we could go and what we could do. They even kept breakfast open for us beyond their normal time! My daughter & I visited for just two days but it was an unforgettable experience enhanced by the warmth of the hotel staff.

Good hotel for a family skiing trip
Reviewed By TravellingFamily6774We stayed for four nights with our three daughters and enjoyed the excellent location right next to the cable car, which took us up to the skiing area. The new owners are extremely helpful and responded very quickly to any Questions we had. Breakfast and dinner were particularly good.

The food is delicious and healthy, the staff are very friendly and they always make us feel welcome. You get very good value for the price. The owner speaks both English and French very well. They care about nature and handle things accordingly, i.e. sauna on request, tap water for free, shuttle service, just to mention a few. We will be back, for sure!

Ok, but nothing special
Reviewed By NK569The hotel was full, a little overpriced for 3 stars (in my opinion). However, it was ok. Breakfast was pretty basic with bread, jams, cheese and ham as well as müsli and some fruits, no scrumble or fried eggs were offered. As it is a family run hotel I would expect a host family to be present and communicate with the guests a little bit. Well, that was unfortunately not the case. When the guest needs to say hallo first when entering the hotel or crossing the staff or moody owner and nobody asks anything or wishing a nice day when leaving the hotel for a tour, the guest does not feel the hospitality at all. Such a pity! We didn't visit the pool and wellness as the smell of chlorine was to strong, the place to dark and the ventilation non existent. We traveled with a small child and I would expect someone would tell us about the playing rooms at the check in. Unfortantely it did not happen. However, we found a playing room on the first floor and our child was very happy about it. To sum up: this hotel needs a host who would be present at all times and communicate with guests.

Spacious single room with balcony for such a great price. The hotel offers a reduced rate for extended stays, so generous fir a family run business. Perfect hotel for local hiking.

Relaxing stay
Reviewed By christinalb2016Short two night visit to Kandesteg and Hotel zur Post fitted the bill exactly. Simple, well furnished, spotlessly clean rooms and we had a first floor room with a little balcony - perfect for snowy village and mountain views, and for catching the winter sun. Delicious breakfast, sadly the restaurant wasn’t open for other meals during our stay, but there’s other places to eat in the evening within a few minutes walk. The two owners made us feel welcome guests and we’d have been happy to have stayed for a longer holiday.
