We had a one night stay here. Parking was easy, for free and just across the street. The young lady at the reception was very friendly and speaks many languages. The room was renovated recently and was good in size, the bathroom (shower, toilet and sink) was spacious. The mattresses were very good and gave us a good sleep. It was very quiet, because we kept the windows shut at night. If you want to sleep with the window open better look for a different place as traffic noise starts early in the morning. The hotel is in the Center of Arbois, several good restaurants are within short walking distance.

Located in the vineyard of the Jura, Next to Arbois. At the end of the Reculée des planches, a small calm village. At just 400m of The Cascade des Tufs, a 4 stars Hotel with 4 Jacuzzi Suite and 14 rooms and a gourmet Restaurant where you can discover local specialties like the Poularde de Bresse with morels and yellow wine and have a look to our beautiful wine menu. In Summer you can enjoy our outdoor heated swimming pool and have your dinner in our covered terrasse.
Pictures much better than the tired reality. On our way there they rang to say the restaurant was full. What hotel does not check with guests who are staying for two nights if they wish to eat? Even in their room guide, guests are allowed to order a meal up to 6pm. The room had no effective bed lights since the 'designer' shade was a 30cm ball of feathers. The promised minibar was empty. The bed was rock hard so that I had to sleep on the duvet (it didn't help much). The contrast with our final night in the Champagne region was stark. We would put this place as 2 star at best with amateur customer service and will never return.

The Fairies took up places, at the foot of the mounts of Jura and at the edge of small called river... " The Cow ". In the crossing of a small road " The Fairies " welcome you and invite you to cross(exceed) the threshold. They will take you in their magic universe and without warning(preventing) borders will move(put) back, sources(springs) will sing, trees will liven up(lead), flowers will metamorphose, the words will fly away or will remain suspended from the kingdom of the Fairies. Then let "give birth to" you during this stay in the course of which you will escape with delight on their wings studed at least we wish it to you. Then take the key of these enchanteuses ways ...
Located next to a stream in the heart of the Jura region, this little gem was absolutely prefect in every way...Lots of attention to details everywhere. Room was very well appointed. breakfast was lively with lots of home-made jams, honey, etc... Nathalie, the receptionist and waitress at breakfast was extremely pleasant and helpful. The owner was very helpful in arranging dinner reservations for us which could have been an issue during low season with many restaurants closed.

All the facilities in the room were operational and clean and it made for a good pit stop on the way to the Alps. A supermarket around the corner allowed for provisioning and a fuel fill up. Breakfast is very satisfactory and all round a great stop on the way to the Alps.

We stopped on the way to a ski trip 5 people got 3 rooms, very simple and nothing special.. but it got better right after our lovely hostess/receptionist made our night with serving us beautiful local beer for boys and choosing the most amazing red wine for us girls ! She continued to impress us when we went for dinner and soon realised that our waiter doesn’t speak a word English, and there she was - came to our rescue, left reception to come and check up on us and proceeded to take our order and help us choose best dishes. Here’s the best part - dinner was magnifiquè!!! It was also almost full with guests coming from all over the town and area, people nicely dressed and all enjoying the beautiful setting in the restaurant . We loved our evening there ! So overall great stay for 1 night :)

We stopped here for two nights in early December. We were made very welcome and ate in the restaurant. Lovely food in the evening and good breakfasts in the morning. Flo and Remy spoke excellent English - better than our French. It was so convenient, being less than 2km from the A39 Motorway junction. An excellent place to break a long journey without going too far out of the way. Highly recommended.

We hadn’t planned to stay here but our car broke down on the motorway and the RAC booked us into this hotel for the night. A friendly welcome for us and for our dog. The hotel is on the outskirts of a small village facing a vineyard so wonderfully quiet. The room was a good size and comfortable. We enjoyed dinner in the restaurant and trying some glasses of local Jura wines. The hotel kindly let us stay in our room long past checkout time until our car was repaired. Must be a wonderful place to visit in the summer with a large swimming pool that was just outside our room. We may well return for a planned visit sometime in the future.

Nice hotel with a good breakfast, comfortable bed, good shower but very small rooms. The bedroom The bed is big and soft, very comfortable. But the room is really tight! A surprise, since the hotel is not located in a crowded city centre but next to a road between two small towns. There’s no space to open the suitcases at all. There is a closet but if you only passing trough, you don’t want to get everything in and out of your suitcase. There’s a water boiler to make some tea. But no fridge! Almost no sounds from the road but downstairs is quite noisy. Airco The airco (at least in our room) was in a mode set on 22 degrees Celsius which could only be set 2 degrees higher or lower. But since the bedcover is pretty thick, 20 degrees is just too hot.. I hardly slept. But when we asked the staff the next day, he set it on 18 degrees and we could finally sleep. The bathroom The shower is really nice, have a good water pressure, quickly on temperature, has a big shower head and a rain shower. But the rest of the bathroom is extremely small.. You can’t stand there with 2 people at the same time. The cleaning ladies also didn’t give us a refill of toilet paper.. There’s a all-in-one shampoo and wash gel. And only of those horrible slow blowdryers. I would bring my own. The bathroom has a automatic light, which would have been a good idea but in practice it means if you’re getting up at night and the light goes on and shuts off 5 min after you left, your partner might wake up. Breakfast Nice and reasonably big breakfast buffet. Everything was fresh! Except maybe the juices. There’s creal, different kinds of yoghurt, cheeses, meat, boiled eggs, bread, danish, dried fruits, fruit salad, pieces of fruit, tea, coffee, hot milk, quiches etc. Would have like to have a vegan breakfast and muesli instead of cereal. Staff Very friendly! Even helped carry one of our suitcase up the stairs (there’s no lift) and let us freeze our cooling elements. Parking Free, mostly under the shadow, directly in front of the hotel and there’s enough space. Restaurant The downside was the restaurant. If you go in August, a lot of restaurants are closed (the staff is on holiday), which isn’t usually communicated on their website, on apps etc. The restaurant that are open, have limited space because of Corona and are usually full. We’ve spend our trying to find somewhere to eat dinner. So we went back to the hotel and ate there. Nicely situated under the trees and shade covers is the terrace of the restaurant. The food left us a bit underwhelming. It was Okay but for 25 to 30 euros for a main dish is quite steep! Especially since you can eat entire 4 course menu’s a better restaurants in the neighbourhood! The staff was very friendly but very busy, so it took them 30 minutes before they could take our order. They could have been more efficient by delivering food and on the way back taking (multiple) orders and directly asking what we want to drink. Neighborhood From here you can travel to quant villages like Arbois and Poligny. They have a nice centers with beautiful vistas and some good restaurants. Tip; always reserve a restaurant for dinner in August, since most restaurants close in August and the rest fill up quickly. The waterfalls of Herisson is a 45 min drive away.

Jura Hotel This hotel is shabby on the outside but the rooms are modern if a little small. The hotel had a good restaurant with splendid views its opposite the station and parking is in the various public parking bays. Free Wi-fi is available but it’s limited the further you are from reception.

Unexpectedly stranded in Lons-le-Saunier, walked across the road from the station to the Au Terminus to find a room for the night. The hotel is a classic French building, very elegant, and we were greeted warmly by the helpful staff. It's a very short stroll from the hotel to the town centre. Our room was very comfortable, modern and well appointed with all you could need, very quiet despite being directly opposite the busy station. We had a delicious breakfast before heading off again. All in all a great stay and excellent value for money.
