Reviewed By Youwin-WewinYes, it's China. Yes, it's a typical Chinese hotel. What else would you expect? That said, the hotel is comfortable. The staff are courteous, the housekeeping very alert, turned up the room thrice in a day, has a well stocked mini bar. Mind you, I opened a satchet of tea, and I was charged for it. Maybe I overlooked the complimentary tea bags. There's one negative though, which I would like to suggest to the management. Keep entire floors as non smoking. I was allotted a non smoking room on a floor which also had smoking rooms. The non smoking rooms were on the left section and the smoking rooms were on the right section. The buffet breakfast cannot be called lavish, but it is more than adequate. There are choices of salads, fruits, beverages, eggs, noodles, breads, congees, Chinese as well as western dishes. Promptly replenished too. Very satisfying. Again, the staff weren't very well equipped with English, but hugely helpful and polite. The toiletries also were good, and they do have a tub and a shower cubicle. Also an iron and an ironing board to spruce up. The west side overlooks a lake, which afforded a pleasant but not a gorgeous view. In the basement level, they have an independent spa, which offers a sauna and other amenities which are payable. There also is a very well equipped gym. The gym is complimentary for hotel guests. So is the use of the swimming pool. Please carry your trunks, if you want to use the pool. Or else you would need to buy trunks at the pool. And the trunks are a bit steeply priced. The location is very good. Just step out, and there are a huge number of restaurants just opposite. Offering a wide variety of cusines. I chose to eat Chinese on all the three evenings I was there. Overall, a very pleasant stay.

All together good hotel
Reviewed By Sara n1. The best thing is that it is located in a area with a lot of shops and restaurants. Transportation is easy. 5 min by car to the airport 2. Room is so so. There is a ktv in hotel yard. Right in the midnight drunk people comes out with loud noises and some with shouting or crying and really I couldn't sleep well 3. Breakfast is good but we stayed here for 7 nights and everyday it was the same and u could recognise that some foods were not fresh 4. Staff are help-ready, polite and kind. You won't encounter problem with language 5. We often come to jinjiang for business and we tried many other hotels but generally we always prefer to stay in this hotel 6. This time we had an 8 month baby with us so we booked a better room with higher price but really there was not big difference and the upgrade wasn't worth it. 7. Although room it was a no smoking but for the first day smoke smell really bothered me a lot. After 1 day got used to it ?

My first China visit
Reviewed By Govinda PIt was my first China visit. I stayed in this hotel for 4 days. Their free laundry service and free break fast is very useful for a new people in any China town. Rooms are so nice and tidy. Internet facility is so fast that I could talk with my family back in my country on viber and wechat without interruption!

A 5-start hotel located in the middle of nowhere
Reviewed By EquinoxMNLI was billeted in this hotel for 2 nights to attend to some matters in a neighboring town. The hotel has already changed its name to Jinjiang Baohui Hotel. The exterior of the hotel looks grand and you shall be greeted with an equally grand lobby upon entering. The rooms are spacious and provides all the amenities you'd expect from a 5-start hotel - room slippers, bathrobes, complete toiletries, coffee-making facilities, etc. Another nice feature of the room is that it has a separate tap in the bathroom for drinking water. The bathroom is also big with separate shower and bathtub. The bathroom has a large glass pane that looks into the room. However the blinds of bathroom are not entirely opaque and one could see inside the bathroom from the room itself. When you travel alone or as a couple, this won't be a problem. However when you have associates or strangers for a roommate, then this would cause some privacy issues. Water pressure is also good. Some gripes about the room (11th floor): The room itself kind of reeks of cigarette smoke, despite being a non-smoking room. Also, the cold air outside seems to get inside the room despite the windows being shut completely. You can feel the wind when you stand near the windows. This meant that the room is always cold. I have some companions staying in a different room and they did not have the same issues with the room. The bed, while large, is not very comfortable. I like firm beds, but the beds here are firmer that what I would like. The location of the hotel also is a bit of a problem. It is really located far off the downtown of Jinjiang City or even the downtown of Anhai Town (where the hotel is located). It is surrounded by industrial buildings and open wastelands on all fours sides. For tourism, this hotel would be definite no-no. For business purposes with prearranged transportation, then this hotel would do. Transportation to and from this hotel seem to be reliant on "unlicensed transportation operators" where fares are negotiated with the driver. Finally the hotel's service is a mixed bag. The staff here do not smile a lot (this is after all, China). The staff at the lobby will readily serve you tea once they notice you staying there longer than usual. The bellboys would readily help you with your bags. However, when the in-room safe malfunctioned and refused to open, I had to call housekeeping twice and wait more than an hour for help to arrive. Overall, I would only recommend this hotel if you are on business and your local partners have arranged transportation for you. For tourists, the hotels located in Jinjiang City, or Quanzhou City are better options.
